Now this is innovation, not some clown trying to invent helicopter with wood.

If it’s safe and well built, this could seriously improve energy management.

Yet our government won't invest on him nor his kinds. Dream ki!!ers, that's our government.

In principle, this can work as a trigger for literally anything. Wireless signal (EM waves) to delivering electric current then triggering the mechanical device to getting the job done Crude but it works. Kudos!

Great initiative. This is too mechanical though. Best way to achieve this is to use relays for control. More efficient and reliable.

that is a seriously clever way to handle remote power control. dialing a number to flip a switch is definitely more practical than most of the over-engineered stuff i see.

One of the reasons why technology haven’t grown in Nigeria or why Nigeria dont have home grown tech is the lack of attractiveness of the great talent. This same item he showcased here, a Chinese man will produce it exactly same way and package it in very appealing manner, and the world for be crazy to have it. When you have talent and you are able to produce things like this, you need to package it well. Invest some funds into it, encase it beautifully. The world don’t need to see the content. Every company and tech manufacturers started small, and grow. If I have this kind of talent, I will set up a company with it.

I know a man in Warri who was an expert in this field, I just didn’t know why he wasn’t recognized even tho he worked with big companies then

Necessity engineering at its finest. Backend brain says I want to know what protocol he's using over the cell network. Hope he gets the funding to scale this.

Firstly the idea is great and impressive attempt to invent something , but to actually be relevant you need to solve problems , and in Nigeria this can't be someone's problem or headache , it's a bold step but an incomplete one , how about how to switch it back , infact there are many questions... Just go and develop your talent , I wish you greater heights

This is a kind of project that people should be investing in, I mean investing in our people's innovative solutions rather than subscribing to those who are fighting for likes and dollars with nothing upstairs.

Love this. Simple, practical innovation solving a real problem. This is how ecosystems grow not just big ideas, but smart systems people can actually use anywhere👏

@stdeeno This is a really impressive idea and well executed. But I'm afraid it's impractical. A demonstration should show how it works both ways. Also, what if there is network failure? The best innovations ask as many "What ifs" as possible and answer them all in the design.

This is a nice and innovative idea BUT! It is way less efficient and is highly prone to mechanical failures. It could have been done better in a more micro level using the combo of embedded systems and IOT to produce an even more efficient result with less mechanical noise.

@whitehusky_1 maybe we’re truly 1 consciousness or in a sim. 🙂‍↔️ 👀 thought about something similar earlier today — wireless circuit control for home appliances. why can’t we schedule on/off for appliances like the freezers, AC’s via a cell phone with internet?

He has has tried however he needs to study more. There are actuators and relays for this already. Turn on your gen automatically or switch from gen to mains on auto and vice versa.

Thank you, Chucks, for sharing this – it’s truly innovative. Please can you share his handle or a way to contact him? His tech has use cases far beyond changeovers.

With the way MTN is going now, sure my call will connect? Plus, what do we do to change over again (to turn off the light)? Call the same number? Cos, I feel it may get confusing after a while - not knowing whether it's off or on after a while. Good thing tho. Can be worked on

Just look at the ingenuity of this young man, this is the kind of innovations youths should engage themselves with. Rather Yoruba children are on social media attacking, abusing, cursing and defending an old man that has vowed to destr0y their lives.

That’s an interesting project. We need more forward thinking Nigerians who are bold enough to want change, regardless of the circumstances surrounding them. Kudos 💯
