This is so weird... I am the only one who has seen it like this?

The Bible does not explicitly endorse or describe praying to the dead as a practice for believers. Instead, it emphasizes direct prayer to God and warns against practices associated with communicating with the dead. Here are key points from Scripture: 1. Prohibition of Necromancy: The Old Testament strongly condemns attempts to contact the dead. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 lists necromancy (consulting the dead) among practices that are “detestable” to God, alongside witchcraft and divination. Leviticus 19:31 and 20:6 further warn against mediums or seeking spirits, emphasizing loyalty to God alone. 2. Direct Prayer to God: The Bible consistently directs prayer to God. Jesus teaches in Matthew 6:6-13 to pray to the Father, and passages like Philippians 4:6 encourage believers to bring requests directly to God. There is no biblical example of praying to deceased saints or individuals as intermediaries. 3. Saul’s Example: In 1 Samuel 28:7-20, King Saul consults a medium to speak with the deceased prophet Samuel. This act is portrayed negatively, contributing to Saul’s downfall, as it violates God’s commands against necromancy and shows his lack of faith in God. 4. New Testament Silence: The New Testament does not provide examples or instructions for praying to the dead. While some traditions point to passages like Hebrews 12:1 (the “cloud of witnesses”) to suggest the saints’ awareness, this does not explicitly support praying to them. Revelation 5:8 and 8:3-4 mention angels presenting prayers to God, but this refers to the prayers of living believers, not prayers directed to the dead. 5. Jesus as Mediator: 1 Timothy 2:5 emphasizes that Jesus Christ is the sole mediator between God and humanity, underscoring that prayers should be directed through Him, not through deceased individuals, even if they are saints. In summary, the Bible discourages practices like praying to or communicating with the dead, directing believers to pray to God alone through Jesus Christ.

The golden calf's of the Catholic Church

Yeah this is NOT idolatry at all. Just a bunch of people making statues to commemorate a dude and pray to him *oh sorry, he CARRIES the prayers. Like a courier guy.

Si el joven en verdad es santo, no creo que le guste esta escultura. No le quitemos lo Sagrado, a lo más Sagrado que tenemos los católicos. Solo manos ungidas pueden tocar a nuestro Señor

Just a bad quality image…

First Saint statue without a flowing gown… looks new!

Ora pro nobis, St Carlo ++=

Exodus 32 While Moses was up on Mt Sinai receiving the 10 Commandments from God, the Israelites grew impatient waiting for him. They pressured Aaron into making a golden calf as an idol, & they started worshiping it. +

Acho que é melhor ficar no ícone, em quadros mesmo!

Porque toma el Santísimo Sacramento con sus manos y con un mochila y audífonos, solo manos ungidas y con la vestimenta especial.

More idol worship. When will you stop?

Prayer?
