Yeah, except the 4th down conversion rate is only because they go for it in high leverage and short yardage situations, if they start going for it on 4th and 8 every time that 50% conversion rate is going to drop like a deflated ball.

The math is definitely wrong on this. Maybe a team is 50% on 4th and 1-2 (which is probably the only sample size Sheldon had), but you’re going to be like 5% on 4th and 10+. Also, you’re way more likely to hold a team to a FG or nothing punting from your 12 than if you go for it.

Statistically if I stabbed Sheldon 47 times he would die.
