Lil Durk’s team releases a statement on the recent developments in his case. Durk is scheduled to go before a judge on May 8 after his attorney argued that the government provided false evidence to a grand jury in order to get an indictment on the rapper. During the hearing, Durk's team will offer a substantial bond offer, according to court documents obtained by XXL on Tuesday (April 29). Durk has been in custody since he was arrested last October and charged with murder-for-hire in connection with the killing of Quando Rondo's cousin in August of 2022. Durk's trial is scheduled to begin on Oct. 14.

The U.K. YouTube channel host's coverage of the Durk case has been rubbing some people the wrong way. On Tuesday (Aug. 25), Instagram user fff_zulqarnain shared a video online that shows him pressing Ross for tweeting that Durk put the entire blame on cooperating witness Kavon "OTF Vonnie" Grant. This fine gentleman speaks on the behalf of the black community trying to justify the brutal crime of Karmelo Anthony taking Austin Metcalf’s life. “ I just want to send an apology to his family members on the behalf of the black community, on the behalf of our racism, our ignorance.
