Melody: ...you & your people that you never told me about. Drew: My people. I have two people, you & Barrett. I could've been like Barrett & played everybody, been silent about it. Melody: You did do that. And then he told the truth. Drew: I was just waiting, like I was not gonna blow his spot up. He just didn't clue me in when to do it. Not making excuses though. #bb28

“I have a rule… you can’t do nothing my kids can’t do at my house” What’s something people pretend to like, & really don’t? My answer: Other people’s children. Channing Crowder believes you can’t give other people’s children’s “pow, pows”. I don’t believe that, but I do believe you need to parent your kids into some respect… And if you don’t I don’t really want to be around them. Dwight Howard telling his favorite Kobe story “I like are little fight that we had, our little scuffle that we kind of had. We never had no like real tight beef before any of that. Like I remember calling Kobe right after we lost to them in the finals and asking him how could I get better and then he started talking about you should, you know your post game is good. You know you get down there that nobody can stop your jump hook. You know nobody can bang with you. You can dunk on everybody in the paint you know you just get that face up jump shot you know free throw line jump shot and you good. So I was like, how many shoots should I do. What you do when you shoot? He said, shoot, I make a thousand shots a day. So I said, Yes, I can do that. I can do that. So after that, I would do a thousand shots every day. Have to make a thousand shot. And that would be like I would go around 100 shots a spot. Bank shot on both sides, 100 hook shots, 100 left hand hooks like running hooks like all these different things. So, I started to develop like the shots were so easy because of that” (Via Rich Eisen Show)

Coco Gauff says she feels like she was born to uplift those who don’t have a voice because of the way she grew up, ‘ I have people on both sides that integrated schools. I feel like, low key, that’s just in me’ “Do you feel when you were younger and following the sport, did you have that expectation that you should be more than just a tennis player?” Coco: “I don’t think it was an expectation. I feel like low key I felt like born.. the way I grew up.. my grandmother first integrated, first black woman to attend a high school in Florida who integrated that school and was very active in the community in Delray where I live. Actually I have people on both sides that integrated schools. I feel like low key that’s just in me. Ever since I was younger I feel like my purpose in the world is to uplift the people around me, those who maybe don’t have a voice.. I think that’s why I do that. It doesn’t feel like an expectation or pressure. It just feels like that’s what I gotta do.” (via Australian Open Press)

Dwyane Wade on the similarities between him and Wemby trying to win a title in year 3: “That’s a different conversation. You don’t know unless you’ve done that before. A lot of people like to talk about what this player is or isn’t, but have you ever lead a team to the finals in your 3rd year? We watching Wemby do that right now. He has all the pieces, just like I did…. I was like ‘I gotta take advantage of this. I have to be special.’ I knew I had to be special. I knew I couldn’t be regular season good. I end up discovering a player I’ve never seen before. That guy who averaged 34.7 in the finals? I never seen him before. I never had to perform like that.” (Via Wy Network by Dwyane Wade)

Michael Porter Jr. on the Nuggets getting beat in the first round: “I actually spoke about that the other day where you kind of just almost feel like a hater, I’m watching the game and I’m like why am I cheering for the Wolves like that. I think it’s that human nature, but I mean obviously I wanted my guys to do well I didn’t like that AG was hurt, I didn’t like that P Wat they couldn’t do their thing. I was talking to Christian Braun during the series he hurt his ankle the first game, you know. And he played through it same way I played through a shoulder injury last year. And you know, now he’s getting killed on social media especially since the comments he made. Those are my guys I wanted them to do well, but I mean I just think they might miss me I don’t know, probably not.” (Via Road Trippin’ Show)

Draymond Green reflects on punching Jordan Poole: "For five seconds, I forgot where I was" “I've had a bunch of situations like that growing up. Sometimes I was the guy who get hit, sometimes I wasn't. Regardless, we move on. That's how I've always approached it” “So when that situation happened, I'm like, all right, cool. We move on. And then when we couldn't, I was like, huh?” “For a while, it made me think, man, this dude nothing like me. Because when those things happen, you just move on” “But it taught me so much. It taught me, you're right, he may not be like you. He ain't from where you from. The things you went through, the way you had to come up, he may not have came up like that” “For that five seconds, I forgot where I was at because I immediately went to what I know. But what you know don't really work here” “Everybody says, ‘Oh man, but you was 10 years in. You should know better.’ Still learning nine years in” “It's lessons like that that ultimately make me who I am to this day because, man, I fucked that up”

Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting is just the biggest bully in the entire movie. He already made his point before this scene. Yet he still goes on and bully the guy and say “How do you like them apples?” Imagine if that guy said “No.” Just like Louis CK said: “Do you understand if he says “no,” Matt Damon is f*cked. He’s f*cked in the face for life. He’s got nothin’!” “Do you like apples?” “No.” “D… What…” Dude. F*ckin’ guy. No, come on, seriously. Seriously, you f*ckin’… Don’t f*ckin’… Don’t f*ckin’…” “Do… do… do… Do you like bananas? Do… ’cause I thought… ’cause the woman gave me her telephone number, and… isn’t that bananas?”
