Eddie Murphy’s Donkey in Shrek (25 today!) is one of the greatest voice performances of all time. DreamWorks basically let him go wild; riffing, improvising, and bulldozing the script in the best way. Still the ONLY actor ever award-nominated for voice work in a mainstream film.
