When you look back at it that was an insane decade. And they were just naming the top, there was so much more. He’s right, we didn’t know we were living in abundance.

90s. Period. The music was better than anything before or after. But you know what else? Omg the culture. What was it like to change your hair to look like Bobby brown, or kid n play? Or to wear Hammer baggies? Or to reverse your pants, because, Kris Kross? Or to read Vibe, the Source, Ebony? Actual rap feuds? East coast west coast??? Rich rappers: Master P. Dancing rappers: MC Hammer. Funny rappers: Kid n play, Jazzy Jeff & Will Smith The age of sitcoms? Cosby show? Martin? Different World??? 🤯 The rise of talk shows? Arsenio? Oprah? Jerry Springer?? Stand up comedy ??? Monique? Eddie Murphy? Bernie Mac?? Film - Spike Lee? John Singleton? The reign of MTV?? To experience the music video revolution: Hype Williams? From Missy Elliot to Busta Rhymes & Janet, to King of Pop Remember the Time to Scream? Aesthetic like Bone Thugs-n-Harmony? EPMD? Raunch like Mix-a-Lot? 2 Live Crew? Salt-N-Pepa? Shabba Ranks? Prince going from moniker to glyph? and The New Power Generation?? Kirk Franklin?? the entire revolution of gospel that followed? There will never be anything like the 90s, period. It was a glitch in the matrix. A wet dream. Peak energy. 🔥 If you’ve never felt wonder years like that, you can’t relate. The ONLY reason ANYONE is still making music now? Is because the 90s. Period.

And this isn’t even mentioning that 90s country was also one of the greatest decades for that genre too. I’m in my 40s now and realize just how spoiled we were in the 90s. It’s wild.

Seattle grunge scene was a posse just like Wu-Tang, Bone Thugs, Naughty By Nature, Three 6, Death Row, etc. All so different and all so great.

I'm a child of the '90s but the '70s got something to say because everything that the 90s was making especially in hip Hop was remix of '70s classic originals

Nah....as deep as the 90's were ...the 70's still had much deeper and talented "musicians" and "singers" and not just performers. There was more money starting to flow in but not necessarily more talent. The 90's child was born rich because of their 70's parents. 😂

@LeDivaJustice I was born in the 70’s and love music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’ and 90’s. Most of the music sampled in the 90’s was from the 70’s.

You heard the music, and there was so many good artists. Once you hear that beat to Superthug kick in, it was magic first time I heard it. Same with Biggie, DMX… I bet I can play the saxophone part of Rump Shaker and people will immediately think of it.

90s pop was terrible though LOL. I switched to country to honor my friend’s memory and 90s country was amazing. 90s R&B, hip hop, and some rock were great. I’d go from Garth Brooks and George Strait to Boyz II Men and Guns N Roses.

First of all, Metallica is not 90s, Whitney had two albums already in 80s, GnR best work was in 80s. Alongside them you had Michael Jackson and Madonna, the greatest male and female artist of all time, beginnings of techno and house music in Detroit and Chicago, also names like

This was the case from the 40s to the 90s. All of the biggest most talented and legendary musical acts were active/debuted in 40s to 90s. Little Richard, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, Whitney..
