So I’ve been using grok Grok Bot for a few days. It’s starting to click Bro they leapfrogged codex app and Claude code entirely. Super app 2.0 Grok bot’s marketing is completely wrong and misleading. It’s not an easy normie friendly chat. Don’t pay attention to the bot or chat UX, that’s not the point. Total distraction. Logo is flat out wrong. They legit did the Shoggoth meme with a smiley face mask in front of an AI demon. Grok bots is actually the highest difficulty, most powerful, and highest skillcap agent harness by far. Super rough around the edges. Dev tool, power user quality, nowhere remotely close to consumer level of approachability. Which is fine, they chose a lane, VSCode dev heavy design sensibilities bleed through, and to be fair it’s in beta. But importantly they nailed a new agent stepping stone: Persistent agent driven cloud computers Progression: - Chat - Chat + Tools, Calculate & Code Interpreter, MCPs - Claude Code & Coding Agent Harnesses: Chat + Tools + Read/Write local Files + Local CLI - Codex/Conductor Super App: Agent Harness + vertical tabs + embedded browser + computer use - Grok Bots: Agent Harness + Computer use + Browser Use + Entire cloud computer with all your files and apps, saved Grok bots absolutely mogs ChatGPT work, and the codex super app + ChatGPT remote. UX of having the cloud computer instance be persistent and not ephemeral per thread is 10000x better. Also you can actually open the computer from your phone and click and type and look at things. It’s not some black box only the agent sees. These were the 2 missing pieces This pattern is about to get copied and adopted by everyone.

no money for grok or midjourney? this tool is for you. there's a FREE tool created by an anon dev. open-source. runs locally. 117k stars on github. it generates: > images & video > 3d models > audio > 20+ models here's how to set it up in under 5 minutes: 1️⃣download ComfyUI Desktop go to and grab the desktop app for your system. windows 10+, mac (apple silicon), or linux. it installs like any normal app, it sets up python and every dependency for you in the background. no terminal, no config files. 2️⃣open it first launch, it spins up its own environment automatically. you just wait a few seconds and you're in. you'll land on a node canvas, that's the whole interface. 3️⃣load a starter workflow top menu → Workflow → Browse Templates → Image Generation. click it. this drops a ready-made setup onto your canvas so you don't build anything from scratch. 4️⃣grab a model comfyui ships empty on purpose, the model is the brain, and you pick it. in the template, the "Load Checkpoint" node has a Download button when no model is installed. click it. it pulls one in for you (a few GB, this is the only real wait). 5️⃣install ComfyUI Manager this is the one add-on you don't skip. it lets you install models, custom nodes, and updates with a click instead of the command line. grab it from github (link in comments). it's the difference between fighting comfyui and flying in it. one honest note: an NVIDIA gpu makes this fast, apple silicon works great too, and a weak machine still runs it just slower. that's the whole setup. you now own an image, video, and 3D studio that costs you nothing per month. save this. and the next time grok or midjourney asks for your card. you won't need it. disclaimer: comfyui itself is 100% free. so are the local models (sdxl, flux, wan 2.2, ltx-2). some premium models like seedance are pay-per-use api models, only if you want top-tier quality. the free local ones cover most of what you need. (github link in the comments) follow and turn on post notification for daily AI contents.

🚨 Claude Code costs $200/month. GitHub Copilot costs $19/month. Jack Dorsey's company built a free alternative. 35,000 GitHub stars. It's called Goose. An open source AI agent built by Block that goes beyond code suggestions. It installs, executes, edits, and tests. With any LLM you choose. Not autocomplete. Not suggestions. A full autonomous agent that takes actions on your computer. No vendor lock-in. No monthly subscription. Bring your own model. Here's what Goose does: → Works with ANY LLM. Claude, GPT, Gemini, Llama, DeepSeek, Ollama. Your choice. → Reads and understands your entire codebase → Writes, edits, and refactors code across multiple files → Runs shell commands and installs dependencies → Executes and debugs your code automatically → Extensible through MCP. Connect it to any external tool. → Desktop app, CLI, and web interface. Pick your workflow. → Written in Rust. Fast. Lightweight. No bloat. Here's the wildest part: Block is a $40 billion company. They built Cash App, Square, and TIDAL. They use Goose internally. Then they open sourced the entire thing. This isn't a side project from a random developer. This is production-grade tooling from a company that processes billions in payments. Built for their own engineers. Given to everyone. Claude Code: $200/month. Locked to Claude. GitHub Copilot: $19/month. Locked to GitHub. Cursor: $20/month. Locked to their editor. Goose: Free. Any LLM. Any editor. Any workflow. Forever. 35.3K GitHub stars. 3.3K forks. 4,078 commits. Built by Block. 100% Open Source. Apache 2.0 License.

Introducing my newest app, TethrX, made with Grok 4.5 to access Grok Build on your phone. TethrX connects to Grok Build running on your own computer, so you can start a task from anywhere, follow Grok's reasoning as it works, approve every command before it runs, and review the code it writes. Your code never leaves your machine. The public TestFlight is now open, and a demonstration is below. You pair your phone by scanning a QR code, either on your local network or from anywhere through Tailscale. From there TethrX streams Grok's reasoning, tool calls, command output and file changes as they happen, and asks your approval before anything runs. Plan mode lets you read the plan before the work begins. When a task finishes you can review exactly what changed. TethrX lists the modified files in your project, shows a diff for each one, and lets you commit or discard the work without leaving your phone. The app supports slash commands, including /compact and any skills you have installed, along with voice dictation, queued messages and reusable prompts. Sessions can be searched and organised into folders, and you can pair several computers and switch between them. Siri can start a task or tell you what Grok is doing without opening the app, a home screen widget shows whether Grok is working, and a Live Activity tracks progress on your lock screen and Dynamic Island. Every session reports its context window, token usage and cost, the app can be locked behind Face ID, and your computer is kept awake for as long as a task is running. TethrX requires Grok Build installed and signed in on your computer, together with Node.js 20 or newer. A single command starts the bridge: npx tethrx-bridge TethrX is open source under the Apache License 2.0. Both the iOS client and the local bridge are available here: Grok 4.5 helped a lot, thanks to SpaceXAI for making Grok 4.5 exceptional.
