that color mixing looks like sorcery I assume this is painting a texture and processing it somehow in shader nodes or is there anything special in the brushes?

You guessed it. No special process. The brush has a cloud texture and a texture mask I built from an earlier post. But the painting itself is vector-mathing into a noise texture and then using a couple extra maths to math the outputs together before finally re-mixing color

Not sure yet. It has a lot of restrictions with color and solid values/colors break the illusion pretty hard. Which is just too much to give a spreadsheet of all the things u can’t do and ask ppl to have fun. So I’ll need to resolve some of that before I can release it.
