Donald Hebb's synaptic plasticity principle underlies all of this… neurons that fire together wire together, meaning daily mental repetition isn't motivational rhetoric but a literal description of how cortical reorganization occurs over time.

What interests me here is less the idea that the brain “can’t tell imagination from reality” and more the fact that identity seems to work a bit like a predictive model. We carry around an idea of what “someone like me” does and what feels plausible for us, and that model affects how we interpret friction. If I already believe I’m “not a disciplined person” struggling to stay consistent becomes evidence that I was right. If I see myself as someone who finishes things, the exact same struggle can mean something completely different: “This is hard bcz I’m doing something difficult, not bcz I’m fundamentally incapable of it.” That’s why I’m not sure repetition alone is the most interesting part. Repetition can make a belief more familiar but what really seems capable of changing an old model is giving it evidence it can’t easily explain away. If my internal model says “I never finish anything”, then finishing one small thing is anomalous data. Do that often enough and eventually the old identity has a problem: reality is no longer behaving the way it predicts. In my opinion, that's s much more interesting than “manifesting” a new self. It’s almost like becoming somenoe else by repeatedly making your old model wrong.

Yes it does!! It knows the difference when it looks at the exchange! It sees first both but can see why its not real when the exchange of information happens!

"the thoughts you keep repeating become the reality you live in" pay attention to your thoughts, they are controlling your reality. not because they're "true" but because your brain is physically changing to support them. your brain is made up of billions of neurons that communicate through electrical and chemical signals. every time you think a thought, those neurons fire. when you repeat that thought, they fire again... and again... and again. over time, those connections get stronger and faster. this is neuroplasticity, your brain's ability to rewire itself based on repetition. this is why hebb's law matters: neurons that fire together, wire together. with repetition, your brain begins to: - strengthen synaptic connections (thoughts become automatic) - increase myelination (signals move faster, patterns feel effortless) - shift activity from your prefrontal cortex to your basal ganglia (from thinking → habit) this is when a thought stops feeling like effort... and starts feeling like you. so if you're constantly thinking: "i'm not consistent" "i always fall off" "i'm behind" your brain wires that in as your default. it filters your reality to match it. it looks for proof. and it drives behaviors that reinforce it. not because you're broken... but because you've practiced it. but the same science works in your favor. when you repeat: "i follow through" "i take care of my body" "i show up" you build new pathways. at first it feels unnatural. the old ones are stronger. but with repetition, the new ones strengthen, speed up, and eventually become automatic. this is how identity is built. not in one big moment... but in what you repeat daily. your brain does not adapt to what you want. it adapts to what you practice. your thoughts are not harmless. they are instructions, and your brain is always listening.

Quantum physics and neuroscience keep pointing to the same wild idea: reality behaves like a hologram. A projection. A kind of virtual reality. And the energy behind that projection, the source, is you. Which means you're not living inside your reality. You're generating it. That's a hard thing to actually feel. So here's the one picture that made it click for me. Think about a mirror. When you look in it, you know the reflection isn't you. It's a projection of you. So if you wanted the reflection to smile, you'd never walk up and try to force the mirror to smile. You'd smile. And the reflection would follow. Instantly. Automatically. Now apply that to your life. Your circumstances, your bank account, your relationships, your body. That's the reflection. The physical projection. And most people spend their whole life trying to force the mirror. Grinding, pushing, bending reality with willpower, trying to change the reflection directly. But you are the source. So the move was never to force the projection. The move is to change the source. To shift who you're being at the identity and energy level. And when the source changes, the reflection has no choice. Reality reorganizes around the new you. It ripples out. So the next time you want to change your reality, stop trying to force it or bend it with your will. Change the source. You are the source. Save this and come back to it. Are you living as the source, or fighting the reflection? 👇 #manifestation #consciousness #identity #quantumphysics #mindset

It's time to lock in, my friend. If you feel sad, sick, stressed, stuck, or tired of constantly settling, today is the day to take action and make it better. Your brain is on your side! When you decide to take one action that seems unpleasant or difficult or even impossible, your brain gets the message that is not the boss of you, and it begins to wire in a more robust response that will help you take action across the board in your life. That's the miracle of how your brain is designed to be under the control of your mind and to get structurally better when you change your thought life and your perspective. That's what we call #selfbrainsurgery. Things do not have to stay the way they have been. But nothing changes until you change something. Don't wake up tomorrow and feel the same as you did today. It's hard and holy work to change, but it is worth it. Love tomorrow more than you hate how you feel right now, and take a step towards transforming your life. That's the sixth commandment of self-brain surgery. Share this with a friend who needs to lock in, and save it for later when you need a reminder to get after it. And follow me for daily connections between neuroscience and faith that will help you in your quest for healing, hope, and higher performance in your life. Nothing Changes If you feel stuck and unable to make progress, here's the truth I have discovered after decades of studying brain science, and surviving multiple traumas in my own life, including the loss of my son: Nothing changes until you change something. I lost a lot of time waiting to feel better, thinking I could only change after my emotions did. But what I discovered was that you never feel better enough to change your actions, but as soon as you change your actions, you start to feel better. Change doesn't require perfection, it requires interruption. And that type of change, that type of initiative, doesn't calm until you begin to change things that you think about and the ways that you think about the situation you've been in. That's why Romans 12:2 tells us not to be conformed to the pattern of the world, which is a constant focus on our circumstances and feelings, but to be transformed by of our minds. Once you understand that your mind is in charge of your brain and know what you think about can change how your brain works, you can be truly set free the partner with God in going after the life he's calling you to. And if you feel like you can't hold it all together, I have good news: you were never supposed to. Colossians -20 says that in him everything is held together. Nothing changes until you change something. As soon as you're ready to change your mind, you can change your life. Your creator is ready to help you, your brain is designed to heal, grow, and change, and we're counting on you. Save this for the next time you feel stock, and share it with a friend who needs to know that nothing changes until we change something.
