📌 Your colleagues are not your friends?

True. Your job is simple: Show up. Do the work. Get paid. That’s it. They are not your family. They are not your friends. They are colleagues in the game of survival. Block everyone from seeing your status. Say less than you see. Smile, deliver, shut up, go home. Your real life starts after 5 PM and on weekends.

Spot on 📌

I’ve also never bought the idea that colleagues can’t be friends. I’ve made good friends from colleagues. Just understand that you are colleagues first before friends. Do your work, be helpful but not a pushover, and keep it going.

Colleagues before friends!

I told them at a meeting last month that I wasn’t them to find love, and they should better focus on doing their job. It rattled them, and I like it😁

Haha😂😂

Spot on 💯

Awesome

Noted

I don’t buy their idea too. I’ve made solid friends from work. My previous manager took special interest in me because she saw my dedication and approach to work. This woman fought my battles and would practically hold my hand to make sure I enter that door!

I have similar testimonies🙌🙌

Your relationship at work should not sabotage your ability to deliver to your maximum. You're a very eloquent speaker, ma'am.

Thank you☺️🙏

I agree.

This is so balanced. Know where to draw the line. For me building acquaintances in the workplace has really been helpful. Some colleagues have actually transitioned into friends. It’s about putting boundaries.

Spot on!!

Thanks for always sharing values 🤗

Amazing... Healthy, positive relationships are valuable when they exist, but they are not mandatory. 😁🙌🏼

🙌🙌

You spoke the honest truth @BukkyOA cause it's the same thing I thought. Many people blame others and circumstances for outcomes whereby their own actions and reactions landed them into trouble. At the core, work is business and transactional, but having work friends who care about you and being composed and meticulous around them, truly is a plus.

Well said 💯

I always think they're but not all

There should be boundaries with work relationships. You can belong to everybody and belong to nobody at the same time, just keep it utterly professional and not deeply personal! Play! Game! Care but NEVER lose guard!

It's really a good thing to have.

Yeah

I tell people this the main reason why you are at work is to do the job, that your main priorities the rest are secondary.

Exactly 💯

This is just me... Thanks for sharing... I don't strive where there's no love and peace

😊🙌

Creating an atmosphere that boost your goal and expand your capacity should be your primary. I got this statement late while I was working in a Chinese company (that was my first international organisation) and I blew it up all in the name of making friends.....

📌📌

Everything you say must be centred around the job.
