oh, I'm from asia so my G-gundam experience is mostly the chinese dub and they retain all the original sfx from the original Japanese show, so there wasn't any "roar" at that moment lol.

That is completely fair. Honestly the english dub "roar" fits in so much, I just always assume it was the default despite having watched the original too where there is no "roar".
