Your Love Is King (1984) Sade

Sade recorded her debut on a tiny budget under massive pressure. Your Love Is King isn't just elegance; it's the original take where her voice sounds so intimate because she was literally pressed against a cheap mic in a basement. 🎷 🤔 Fun fact: To get that iconic sax sound, Stuart Matthewman had to record his solo in the studio hallway because the main room was too small for the natural echo they needed. Did you know? 🤯

Sade is my favorite artist ever. Smooth, soulful, vulnerable, beautiful, classy, deep, and sultry without taking all her clothes off and gyrating.

@Gillian275Gm Diamond Life another classic.

U had to be there. I recall seeing this video on MTV & BET & TNN "night tracks"

This woman had so many smooth hits. 👍

I wake up to this song every weekday. 💙
