Okay, mass deportations are bad, yes. But is this person arguing in favour of exploitative labour practices to keep prices low?

So you’re supporting corporate farms using slave labor while we pay 1/3 -1/2 of our income to taxes. Thats the real cost of illegals. I’ll happily pay more for eggs for law and order.

I've seen some pretty good scams/schemes in my 74 years: 1) car dealer bait and switch on the sales floor, or the mysterious change in quoted rates when you finance and sign the final papers in a back office 2) carpet/rug stores "going out of business" weekly ads, when they rarely ever close 3) the relatively cheap price of computer printers, offset by the constant need for $20-30 ink cartridges 4) cable TV's brilliant invention: the bundling of various channels into "packages", so that you have to pay for at least 50-100 channels that you never watch in order to get 10-20 that you do want. But the greatest con ever? The one that's light years above all else? The GOP's bait and switch, wherein they masquerade as populists when they're really f-ing plutocrats. Nice work if you can get it...and all too often they do.

Egg prices will come down when gas prices come down. It's economics. And where did this "mass" deportation claim come from? You have no idea how fast it will happen. Trump & Vance say they will first go after the dangerous ones & lawbreakers. You want that don't you?

I bet they don’t deport anyone. Instead I bet they’ll make undocumented status from a misdemeanor into something harsher for longer incarceration & then use the 13th amendment as a guise for forced labor to keep the costs low & profits high.

The US and a part of the Canadian food production system is totally dependent on migrant and undocumented workers. This system could be repaired and made more fair/practical, but mass deportations will break the system with no back up. Good luck. Plant a garden.
