⏱️ How much can you record? Free users: 300 minutes of meeting recording every month, then it uses credits. Paid members: unlimited recording, up to 24 hrs a day.

All these devices will be obsolete in 1 good android or iPhone release

Congrats on launching your first hardware! That's a clever way to organize your life. Getting meeting notes automatically into context... that's a whole new level of "never forget a thing."

the 5-meter pickup is so cool. does it buffer locally when the phone connection drops beyond that.

35 hours of recording is wild. My actual brain checks out after about 35 minutes 😂

Haha, we get it! 😄 But hey, that's exactly why we built it. At 35 hours, if you're in meetings 6 hours a day, that's a full week on a single charge.

This feels like the beginning of ambient AI, where the technology works quietly in the background while you stay focused on the conversation.

That thin a device turning meetings into notes is neat.

SecondBrain Note is connected to your account so meeting notes get uploaded automatically and can be used within the Genspark

The best AI is the one that remembers, so you don't have to.

This is much more interesting than another standalone recorder.

The best hardware usually removes a small but frequent mental burden. Not having to divide your attention between listening and taking notes could make meetings so much better.

A lot of useful context starts in meetings, calls, and product discussions, so capturing that cleanly feels like a practical extension of the workspace. Interesting to see Genspark officially launch its first hardware product with SecondBrain Note, especially around how spoken context can become useful after the conversation ends.

Having a device so compact that it captures meetings and automatically turns them into useful notes can make a big difference in daily productivity.

Love the form factor—finally, AI hardware that disappears into your workflow instead of demanding attention. Thin, portable, and automatic meeting capture with direct note sync is a compelling combo. Excited to see how people integrate it into their daily work. 👏

Why is this different from @meetgranola app?

Genspark's profile picture

@meetgranola Lots of conversations happen away from your laptop or phone and its easy to forget what was talked about.

Can you compare yourself with plaud? Is it also chinese made? do you have api/mcp... so people can integrate it in their workflows? Any discount/programms for ai influencers/bloggers for doing a review? Would love to test it.

Can the standard Android voice recording app, bundled with Whisper, not achieve this? Unless the idea is to be silent about the recording itself? Also, are we back to hardware now?

Genspark's profile picture
Genspark3 months ago

Great question! A phone plus Whisper can transcribe, but here's where SecondBrain Note is different: 1/ Better audio: Your phone can't pick up voices from across the room or filter out background noise. SecondBrain Note has a 4-mic array with automatic noise reduction, and a bone-conduction mic that even captures your phone calls. 2/ All-day battery: If you record on your phone all day, it drains fast and gets in the way of everything else you need your phone for. SecondBrain Note lasts up to 35 hours, so your phone stays free. 3/ Summaries, not just transcripts: Whisper gives you a raw transcript. SecondBrain Note gives you clean, structured summaries of every meeting. 4/It builds your SecondBrain: This is the real difference. Every note flows straight into your SecondBrain and connects with your emails, meetings, and files, so your agents can actually act on it. A recording app just gives you text. This gives your AI memory.

Obsidian + Claude Code turned a 4,300-note vault into a second brain that answers back. Most people use Obsidian as a graveyard. You save 40 highlights a week, link nothing, and reread maybe 2% of it. The knowledge is there the retrieval is dead. Claude Code fixes the retrieval, because your vault is just a folder of markdown files and Claude Code lives in folders. The whole setup takes 20 minutes: Open a terminal inside your Obsidian folder and run Claude Code no plugins, no API glue, no export step. It reads all 4,300 files natively. Then drop a CLAUDE.md at the vault root explaining your structure: where daily notes live, how you tag, what your MOCs are. Now every session starts with context instead of chaos. From there you just talk to your vault: > "find every note where I mentioned churn and write a summary with backlinks" > "read my last 30 daily notes and list the 5 ideas I keep circling but never ship" > "build a MOC for everything tagged startup-ideas and link the orphan notes into it" It writes new notes straight into the vault with proper [[wikilinks]], and they show up in your graph view 10 seconds later. The boring layer automates too one command cleans broken links, one merges duplicates, one turns 6 months of meeting notes into a single decisions log. Work that used to eat a Sunday now runs while you make coffee. Before: 4,300 notes, 900 orphans, search by keyword and prayer. After: an agent that read everything you ever wrote and drafts in your own voice, from your own sources, with receipts. People pay $30/month for AI note apps with 10% of this. You already own the other 90%. Your notes stopped being storage. They started being staff.
