🌏🛬🇨🇦🏥 : Canadian healthcare is so bad that our Immigration minister just announced stunning new measures to rush doctors into Canada. This includes a rapid process of only 14 days for a foreign doctor to get a work permit, inside Canada. The Federal government is also creating a new 5,000 person immigration pool for international doctors to come to Canada. This is on top of a newly announced express entry for foreign doctors who have already worked at least one year inside Canada. Over the last 10 years the Liberal government packed in millions of immigrants, temporary foreign workers, refugees, asylum seekers & international students. This unsustainable migration policy was done in a bid to create new Liberal voters, as the Liberal brand plummeted in domestic support since 2019. You will note the Liberals have not announced any plan to halt immigration to Canada, until our healthcare system can stabilize. I fear Canadians will be in for a very rude awakening as foreign doctors, who may have some very unethical motives, take over many healthcare departments. This is more proof that the Liberal party cared more about holding onto power, at any cost, than the lives of Canadians that would be lost, as our healthcare system collapsed.

I don’t understand why people often soft-target doctors❗❗ In a recent video, popular teacher Khan Sir claimed that doctors prescribe MRI or CT scans based on the type of vehicle a patient arrives in. Statements like these shape public perception negatively. Even when such tests are medically necessary, people begin to assume doctors are trying to loot them and they hesitate to proceed with essential investigations. What these educators don't highlight is the critical role that diagnostic tests like MRI and CT scans play in identifying and treating medical conditions. I say this with no disrespect to Khan Sir,he’s a respected figure but let’s not forget that teaching is a business too these days. His net worth is likely ₹50–100 crore. No one questions the actual success % of his coaching students, because we all know the reality. My humble request is: please don’t generalize or stereotype doctors. We already suffer due to the actions of quacks and instances of malpractice. Such sweeping statements only add to the burden of genuine doctors trying to do their job with integrity. This is confirmed by Utah Public Safety the Farm Service Agency, which reported no AFIDA filings last year. Thanks to HB516, Utah now prohibits adversarial foreign entities from purchasing land and requires those that already own it to sell. We’ll keep defending Utah land and liberty. 🇺🇸

Thousands of doctors who could be cutting NHS waiting lists are being turned away; not because they aren’t needed, but because the Government caps how many can train to become Consultants/GPs. This year 30,000 doctors applied for just 10,000 training jobs. Highly trained doctors who want to stay in the NHS are being blocked from progressing, and some are being forced out altogether. That means fewer doctors in hospitals and GP practices, and longer waits for patients. The public feels the impact of this every day: longer waits, overstretched services, and fewer doctors available when you need them. Despite this, the Government’s plan is to bring forward only 1,000 extra training places; far below what’s needed to meet public demand or build up the workforce. On top of the jobs crisis, the Government has recommended a real terms pay cut rather than continuing the journey towards pay restoration. Those two factors together are why resident doctors were forced to strike again, and why we are now reballoting all grades of resident doctors from the 8th of December to the 2nd of February. Doctors: update your BMA account details (workplace, home address, training grade etc) to ensure you receive your postal ballot: 👉 Vote YES for jobs and pay. If we cannot recruit and retain NHS doctors, patients will be the ones who feel the impact. That is the reality the Government still refuses to address.

I raised those issues today in the Public Accounts Committee with the most senior Department of Health civil servants. I will be officially following this up, requesting all relevant data - published or unpublished. Poor communication, and lacking competence, from foreign staff is playing a significant role in clinical malpractice. It's a debate I am determined to force through, regardless of how uncomfortable some may find it. This is a serious issue - lives are on the line. I want to thank every NHS nurse, doctor, midwife, surgeon, manager and more who has come forward. All are considered, and I am acting on your concerns. I will continue to pursue answers in Parliament.
