“Your words have power and your words matter.” Minnesota elementary school teacher Natalie Ringold uses toothpaste to teach kids about the power of words. It’s a good lesson for adults, too.

She’s explaining this to children so they understand that words have POWER!Now if only adults would understand&use this lesson!Like some politicians! Trump&the GOP specifically. They always say they are only words. Words matter!They say well that’s not what he really meant. Hmm..

I love using the toothpaste example with students. It’s very concrete so they understand. I also do the crumpled heart. You use a paper heart. Then you crumple it up as students say mean things. Even if the kids say they are sorry, the heart never loses its wrinkles. ❤️
