I definitely bought my dog. I stole him from his mother’s clutches when he was just a baby about nine weeks old. He shook and cried the entire time I drove home and then complained for many weeks until finally he accepted that I was his new daddy.

Hubby and I adopted 3 human siblings. My youngest son was 10 at the time. We went into a store together, where we all split up. A lady working there saw when we all met up, and told my son, “Well, it’s obvious who your parents are.” I replied, “Actually he’s adopted.” My son - wide eyed - says, “I’M ADOPTED?!?”

My cat wouldn’t care. If he could talk, he’d tell me he was doing me a favor by allowing me to adopt him.
