Spot on, as always. I always tell guys to be the best "whatever" they can be, now. Don't think you need to wait until you've got a piece of kit or clothing, or until you've learned a particular skill. Be the best you can be now. The gear can follow and we NEVER stop learning.

And lots of people can have the gear and not be the thing. The gear doesn’t make the thing — you make the thing and that makes the gear!
