I really wish @YouTubeCreators would actually engage with full time streamers on their platform instead of just drumming up the worst imaginable features that nobody will use. We still don't even have gifted membership goals or being able to gift people specifically.

Live streaming on YouTube has really stagnated in the last 18 months and THIS is what the team has been working on? Twitch has been floundering for years and YouTube has sat there, twiddling its thumbs.

While I basically have no hat in this race and have no idea how this works else where, that has such a feature... But this better not be something you can just slap someone else in the face with... If I was on the receiving end, I'd just end my youtube stream in responds.

They are pretty late to this feature. @FavoritedStream did this a couple years ago and does it well.

This will be great for charity events or streams with project goals. Massive gains for those smart enough to use it.

This is the thing I dislike most about tiktok. Sad to see YouTube taking this route, it's super predators towards communities and makes them have Fomo for not participating in draining their bank accounts. Gross.

i love yt but this is so bad...

I actually hate this. It’s just them copying TikTok and less pushing forward for their current market. But they want people to stream on YouTube vs TikTok so I get it
