If you could only learn one thing that will be relevant for the next 10-20 years, focus on learning how to deal with data. The future is not about faster hardware, smarter algorithms, or better ideas. The future is about DATA, and those who know how to deal with it will stay relevant much longer than anyone else. I recorded a video to show you how easy it is to get started. In the video, I'm using Kestra. For a long time, I was a fan of AirFlow. Then, I moved to AWS Step Functions. Today, I only use Kestra. Kestra is open-source (repo link below) and kind enough to sponsor my work. The video will show you how easy it is to do the following: 1. Run Kestra locally (literally, one command) 2. Build a simple flow 3. Run Python scripts as part of your flow 4. Connect to HuggingFace models If you have never built a data pipeline, open Kestra's Quick Start Guide and follow their examples. (I think it will take you one weekend to feel comfortable with the application and build the courage you need to get into more serious work.)

Hi everyone! Just rolled out access for NoSpoon Studios to the first 110 folks or so. Huge thanks to Karan and Amit at Luma - thanks to them, I have a few more people that had commented getting complimentary beta access soon as well :). These videos are created with a single agent that does everything from concept to completion (including editing the video together). Therer are longer options too, but for the sake of cost and this demo, you'll be working with 20s max generations. The entire agent was built to only run Ray2 as the video model. My stack is this custom agent of mine (using OAI) > Ray2 for the video > Replit for the app for now. In the meantime, for those with access: here's a video tutorial on how to use the site. I'm quite exhausted, but here's the gist: 1. Sign up (and remember your password lol). Beta testers got free credits, but these are a bit limited - rolling out to a few more peeps but have to budget and need to expand my current code (which means redeploying - so expect more of you to have 2 free credits and access tmr! I have to find out the max I can allot with budget). 2. Just hit "generate short video" without anything in the prompt box and the agent will start immediately with the logline. Be very patient, wait about 6-8 minutes, and it will continue to output all of the scenes and processing - it's very important you do not refresh or navigate away from that tab at this time. You'll see your final video generated and displayed at the bottom of your screen once complete, along with a watermark (paid users don't have a watermark). You can also access your loglines and videos in your history tab, too :). You must refresh the page only after your generation in order to generate a new video - otherwise you'll lose your generation (annoying I know). 3. You can also input your own custom prompt! Control the story this way. Interesting times in the maps space, and its exciting there is so much buzz - maps are awesome :) My parents Rakesh and Rashmi Verma pioneered digital mapping in India in 1995, returning from the US after a successful career there with the passion and desire to do something unique for India. And it’s been 20 years for me personally in the mapping space, since I was a 19-year old Stanford engineering undergraduate student and got involved in starting India’s first interactive mapping portal, I realise MapmyIndia is a relatively lesser known company amidst more consumer facing global and local players, so it would be great if this post can be amplified, so that more people can be made aware 🙏 Warm regards, Rohan Verma CEO & ED, MapmyIndia *** A few thoughts on maps: 1) Accuracy and quality of maps is critical. With an intuitive menu similar to the GTA Online map editor, but a thousand times more advanced, you’ll be able to: • Redesign the entire map: change street layouts, create new neighborhoods, raise or lower terrain, add bridges, tunnels and even artificial islands. • Customize the aesthetics: choose the architectural style (neon 80s, cyberpunk, modern realism, tropical decay, etc.), dominant colors, type of vegetation and even the predominant climate of your city. • Define the economy and crime: decide which companies will dominate (crypto firms, casinos, illegal synthetic drug factories), the level of police corruption, gas prices and even the crime rate in each district. • Create custom missions: build parallel stories that only happen in your city, with NPCs you edit yourself (appearance, dialogues, daily routines). • Share online: publish your city on the GTA 6 Hub and let other players enter it as a multiplayer world or download it as an official mod. I'm convinced that there is one skill that separates truly intelligent people from those that aren't: Listening. This concept of "being a recorder" by Rick Rubin explains it perfectly. In less than a minute, Rubin provides 4 simple steps that, if followed, will change how you think about your interactions with others. Step 1: "It starts with coming in blank. Not having any preconceived ideas, being open, and really listening. Not thinking about what you're going to say next or what your opinion is." Step 2: "Basically being a recorder. Just hearing what comes in. Processing that information and trying to do our best to do that without any of the beliefs we might have to impact what that is." Step 3: "I don't want to have any reaction happening when you're speaking and want to be as neutral as possible. My goal is not to form an opinion, it's to understand." Step 4: "If you say something that somehow triggers me, I wouldn't challenge you. I would ask how did you find that? How did you get to that place? I want to understand who the person is, and through questioning, we can usually get there." My thoughts: So often we enter conversations with a predetermined idea of how it will go, what the other person will say, and how we will respond. The goal, as Rubin says, should be to "understand, not form an opinion." When someone says something you disagree with, rather than being triggered, frustrated, or defensive, why not dig deeper into how they came to that opinion? Save only the top 5-10% of your ideas. That way, you can trust that everything in your note-taking system is high-quality. 5. Tiago’s dad is an artist who taught him an important lesson: the energy to create art can dissipate in small, invisible ways if you let it. Set up a structure where you have the peace of mind and the bandwidth to do art. 6. The ultimate goal of note-taking is to improve your ideas. Too many people treat note-taking as an end in itself. Tiago publicly tested every idea in his book. For most, the internet is a blackhole of distraction. But it can instead be used as a place to do low-stakes experiments before you go all in. 11. The more expensive the location for a writer's retreat, the more it forces you to be productive. 12. "Be regular and orderly in your life, so that you may be violent and original in your work." — Gustave Flaubert, one of Tiago's favorite quotes. 13. The less formal and “official” a software program feels, the better Tiago writes. And he believes some of the best turns of phrase come out in messaging apps with friends. Stuck on something? I know when I create my own content, it costs me money and takes time away from my family. When you see it, share it. I don’t care. 2. I don’t care if I’m cancelled, I came back to X after being deplatformed with Trump and I stayed for Trump and the upcoming elections. 3. No punks will run me off over a bit of money- we posted for free before, we can do it again. 4. I can walk away just as easily as I walked through the door of once Twitter, now X. 5. I’m a woman of strength, determination and courage. If you don’t like me, that’s cool, but I know in my heart there are some great accounts here that have kept X moving and I don’t think X wants them to walk away! That would leave a giant hole in its revenue. 6. Be yourself, credit content makers, and enjoy this space while you can. Nothing lasts forever. 7. Thank you for following me and interacting with me. I try to respond to smart replies and repost those I agree with and at times- those that just make sense. 8.
