I see where Yugi was coming from. No one knows a deck and how it’s meant to be used better than the person who built it. When you build a deck, you know every combo and strategy you had in mind for it. Basically, no one uses a deck as well as its owner.

I’d get mad too about how this duel played out if the duel itself was actually the point of the episode..

They easily could've easily changed how he stole the stars. In the manga they play at tables with a projection box around them. It could've been explained away by him snatching them off his glove when he had to pay up. Those platforms are also really high off the ground.
