17-Year-Old Adelia Petrosyan Crowned Champion, Winning Back-To-Back Russian Figure Skating Championships 🇦🇲 ➖➖➖ 17-year-old Russian-Armenian figure skater Adelia Petrosyan has won the title of Russian Champion for the second year in a row following an outstanding performance at the 2025 Russian Figure Skating Championships in Omsk, Russia, once again showing her dominance in women’s single skating. I’ve had a neighbor that always got mad when our shrubs would grow out and touch her fence. She demanded that we trimmed them like the shrub touching the fence would damage it somehow. It was funny at first for her to do that but I seriously think she might just have been lonely and wanted an excuse to interact. I would try to keep up on it just so I wouldn’t be bothered by her at all hours of the day. This woman didn’t like how this man’s grass touched her fence and would reach over to pull it out. Her husband keeps telling her to come inside yet she refuses and even goes as far as to claim the man is harassing her. Is he bothering her though? I do think it’s funny he puts his feet by her to her dismay. At least she stayed on her side of the fence. My neighbor would come and pound on my door and wake me up during the day sometimes when I’m trying to get a nap. She would demand I trim my plant that is touching the fence because she claims it would eventually push on the fence and cause it to go crooked. I always thought she was being irrational in thought. The shrubs don’t grow fast enough to cause that kind of pressure to do so yet she always insisted they did. She ended up getting too elderly to stay at the home by her self and I kind of felt a sigh of relief when her daughter put her in a nursing home. They ended up selling the house and the new neighbors never even bothered me about the issue.

This lady walks into a gold and silver dealer to sell some of her old jewelry she doesn’t wear anymore, she’s doing this in hopes of getting $400 for a used computer for her daughter who is in boarding school, she is totally unaware of the high prices gold has been reaching. She has 202 g before she adds in the last piece that’s roughly 7 ounce of 14 karat gold which is half the value of 28 carat, the price of gold now is $3900 an ounce roughly so for conversation sake let’s say it was $3500 when she made the transaction so $1750 would be the value of those 7 ounces and that equals $12,250, so they were fair with her in my opinion. Not bad, she walked in looking for 400 and walked out with $12,000, and she kept the good stuff in her purse, hopefully she went home and bought a small safe and called her insurance agent😬

This is one of my favorite player development stories of all time…. Sophie is one of the best players to come out of the Albany area, especially in the last handful of years. She was an unbelievable shooter in HS, signed to play for URI in the A-10. Before her Freshman year she developed a ‘wiggle’ in her elbow on her shot. It was tough for her to reach from the HS 3 pt line. I remember being nervous that if she couldn’t fix it, it would be hard for her to get on the court. She didn’t play much that whole year and during winter break, when she got home, we locked in and figured out a series of drills that would help her limit the wiggle and generate power on her shot. In this video are a couple of the drills, you can see how the elbow stabilized in just a couple days. The best part is that she was able to then go back to school, continue what we worked on, and improve it by shortening the dip and transfer that success to games. She went on to shoot over 40% from three that year, and broke the career 3 point record at URI. I’m really proud of how she took ownership of her development and achieved success!!

This young woman was off on a run, she’s taking the route she normally does for a long time now. On the way see runs with her little brother and even sees her sister out running as well. As the sun sets she’s on her final stretch of her run and she’s approaching where she started out again. She sees two men on the sidewalk and right as she is about to run past them they try to grab her and take her, one of the men lunge at her as to almost tackle her and stop her in her tracks. Even after running for miles she musters up the strength in her to run away as fast as she can. It’s safe to say this is why people use treadmills but if this was you would this discourage you from running outside again, what would you do?

What a day. What a journey. Last game of the season. The conference finals. Emmy pitches best game of her life. 0 hits. 0 runs. 0 walks. 9Ks in a 5 inning shutout. So many emotions between dad and her throughout the years. Lots of stressful car rides home. Huge texts from me criticizing and more. Just a dad being pretty hard. But I never gave up on her. Never missed a game. Never missed a practice. Always her biggest fan. And after all these years, I know now she knows it. She gets it. And still loves me for it, I hope. Through the years some coaches gave up on her. Never thought she would make it as a pitcher. She didn't throw textbook 60+. Took away her chances. Made things harder than they should've been. But she never gave up. And some coaches didn't either. And that's amazing. It's so hard being a pitcher. Having so much on your shoulders. Having all eyes on you. Worst part of today was her boyfriend seeing me with a few tears lol. But I think he did too. And Julie did for sure. So happy for you Emmy. You did it. First perfect game. In the biggest game of your life! Thank you Mangos for a fantastic year. Wonderful memories that will last forever.
