You know what PHYSICS education needs more of? Indigenous pseudoscience. This new paper wants to integrate "Indigenous Knowledge Systems" into physics classrooms to "advance epistemic justice." You see, physics is frequently characterized as "culturally neutral" and "universally valid" despite being "grounded in Western epistemology," and this cultural bias "marginalises Indigenous ways of knowing." We need a "pluriversal engagement framework that operationalizes Indigenous Knowledge Systems integration...to teach thermodynamics [and] community-based astronomy initiatives linking Indigenous cosmologies with physics concepts." By "embedding Indigenous knowledge within physics curricula in universities of technology and similar Global South contexts," we can finally get to back to what physics education is supposed to be all about: "advancing epistemic inclusion." Just think of what SpaceX could achieve if Elon Musk integrated Indigenous Knowledge Systems into rocket design. They would be truly unstoppable!

Are there practical use cases? bro was just being silly in response to a dumb situation. it’s not that deep and I don’t think people should paint Box2 of all people as an enemy that’s next needs to be dogpilled to the same extent as someone that actually has real malice and wrongful critique of wuwa. Here’s a clip where we’re all clearly taking the piss, and it’s not that deep. The renowned Andrew Lloyd Webber, one of the most famous musical-theatre composers in the world, known for works such as “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Sunset Boulevard” and “Jesus Christ Superstar”, made a video praising ROSALÍA’s “LUX”. “I’ve just been listening, for about the fifth time, to ROSALÍA’s incredible new album. I mean, it has got to be the album — if not of this year, then, I think, the album of the decade so far. It’s absolutely brilliant, and the string arrangements, I think, are totally extraordinary. Her voice is amazing, but what I love about it is the fact that it’s truly musical. It’s got all of these different tempi; it’s not relentlessly in 4/4 time. It’s got all sorts of exciting sounds, and I’ve heard a string orchestra and tried to use it myself, you know, going right back to Jesus Christ Superstar, in a percussive way and in different ways, but I’ve never heard it so well recorded or so well used as on this album. I am going to use the Latin pronunciation of ‘LUX’. I don’t like ‘LUX’; I think ‘LUX’ is much better, because then you can say Et lux perpetua, which means ‘eternal light’. And I think this album is going to be eternal.”

NS Rb: Thank you for remembering that it's been six years. Right now, this feels like the best day of my life. Starting all the way back from the VALORANT beta in 2020, I think I always viewed myself more as someone who was still learning. Honestly, I never really thought of myself as someone who could just guarantee that I was a great player. So from the members I played with starting in Vision Strikers through DRX up until 2023, I think I spent those three years learning. Then through that learning, when I went to TEC in VCT CN, I thought a lot about how to use what I had learned, not just in-game but also more broadly in life. And that eventually brought me here to Nongshim and to this moment. In the end, though, the result came down to learning, studying, teammates covering for one another, and most importantly, as obvious as it sounds, hard work. (via EndPoem)
