Zach Lowe believes Giannis WILL get traded before the draft: “I would still bet on him getting traded before the draft. My favorite reporting in the last week has been ‘sources say MIL doesn’t love MIA offer.’ Really? If they loved MIA’s offer I think he’d be on Miami... show more

Brian Windhorst on the Bucks potentially keeping Giannis through the draft: “They only have to trade him ahead of the draft if a draft pick is part of the offer. That’s why the Miami situation is interesting because Miami has the 13th pick in the draft and it’s one of the best things they can offer. If you want to have a choice of who you get at 13th pick you do it before. If you’re not getting a pick on this draft then that’s just a fake deadline to get teams to get their best offers”

Zach Lowe says he heard the Bucks could flip Tyler Herro for a decent return in a Giannis to Miami trade: “I think what’s happening here is very simple. The draft is 4 days away. Miami’s offer is what it is… I’m sure MIL is like ‘cool, that’s our floor. We’re gonna sniff around. Or act like we’re sniffing around and hope to get one more extra thing out of you.’ I’ve heard MIL could flip Herro for decent, more draft equity so they can frame this as ‘we got 5 1st round picks.’ I’m not going to speculate on Ware but I think there will be deals available for Herro. I think MIA has contractions of the trade where Wiggins and Powell are both still on the Heat… They’re still the safe bet.” (Via Zach Lowe)

Brian Windhorst believes Giannis WANTS to be in Miami: “The team to watch here is Miami. Miami would say ‘we got Tyler Herro who is a young player and been an All Star. We got draft picks including the 13th pick in this draft… And Giannis I think wants to be in Miami. There’s more check marks on Miami. I’m not sure Boston is ready to trade Jaylen Brown”

Zach Lowe on Giannis to Miami: “I don’t know what’s going to happen with Giannis but we have reached a point I would be pretty shocked if he doesn’t get traded. I have said several times in the last month if I had to pick a team, I would pick Miami. Despite the lack of a blue chip asset or young player/pick or whatever because obviously Giannis is going to be able to put his thumb on the scale” (Via Zach Lowe)

Giannis Antetokounmpo WILL BE traded before the draft and is focused on Boston or Miami, per Shams Charania “I want to make this clear, whichever deal occurs, it’s going to be a one for one deal. It’s going to consist of MIL and one of these two teams. There’s no 3rd and 4th teams… Giannis from my understanding is ready to be traded”

Zach Lowe on the conversations he’s had with every team interested in Giannis: “They all are a little skeptical that the Bucks are going to move him now… one front office person of one of these teams called this a side show. Saying this is just for show they aren’t going to trade him. 80/20 they keep him is what I keep hearing. I’m closer to 50/50. I just think A, all these teams are trying. Teams are trying different things. Like the Heat only have two 1st round draft picks to trade, well they could actually go out and get a 3rd one” (Via Zach Lowe)

Zach Lowe believes the Miami Heat ARE NOT true title contenders: “I think they’re going to be a good competitive team…. I think they can go toe to toe with almost anyone in the East but I think they still just don’t have enough really good players to win 3 playoffs series in the East. I still don’t think they are a contender to get to the finals. But I think they’re pretty damn good and that’s a fine step 1 in the Giannis era.” (Via Zach Lowe)

Brian Windhorst on Giannis to Miami and Boston rumors: “I think the Bucks are trying to draw out everyone’s best offer…. Giannis has expressed an interest in extending his contract in Miami which is why MIA has been so interested in doing it. But Boston is also out there because from what I am told is he’s willing to extend his contract in Boston…. A lot of people are making assumptions about what the Celtics would offer, I think the Celtics will be very very cautious with making any firm offer and I will be very careful before saying anything has been truly offered”

Teams and Agents are operating as if a Giannis trade is definitely happening and the Bucks might have two picks inside the lottery, per Zach Lowe “Teams are operating as if it’s happening. Agents are operating as if it’s happening. They’re looking at Milwaukee as a rebuilding team. They’re looking at Milwaukee as a team that might have another first round pick in the lottery and scheduling their draft workouts around it. Everyone is operating and getting the vibe of ‘this is gonna happen.’ Other agents have told me teams in the Giannis Chase are acting as if they might not have their first round pick in the draft.”

Bill Simmons thinks a Giannis to Miami trade could be announced by the end of this week: “I feel like there’s gonna be a big trade soon. Like Giannis, I don’t think that gets super close to the draft. My guess is if there’s a big trade, it’d probably be after game 4 before game 5. I think the league likes to clear out the first 4 games of the finals and it’s kind of a wink wink with the teams. I feel like if there’s a big trade it’s closer to the end of this week. MIL having the chance to get 10, and 13, not to mention the other Miami guys, that’s not bad in this draft.” (Via Bill Simmons)

Bobby Marks and Brian Windhorst on Giannis, Bobby says we could see a Giannis deal in the next 8 hours 👀 Bobby: We’re going to know if there’s a Giannis deal in the next 8 hours…. There’s a lot of moving parts here and I think there’s going to have to be a framework of a Giannis type trade by midnight Windy: Minnesota offer they have to put it together. Miami has an offer they could take. I think GSW offer is better because of the unprotected picks post Steph but the Miami offer which has young players and couple of draft picks in It, they could take that offer. Especially if Giannis wants to do it” (Via NBA on ESPN)

Zach Lowe says he heard nothing about the Heat trying to trade Andrew Wiggins or the Heat trying to change the protections on the 1st round pick they sent to Charlotte: “I didn’t hear a peep about Miami shopping Wiggins to get a extra 1st or Miami is trying to change the protections on the Terry Rozier pick to get an extra 1st. That may have been going on but I did not hear that…. I just didn’t hear much of that” (Via Zach Lowe)

“Miami, I do still think is out in front [for Giannis]...Orlando, I don't think he winds up landing there...The intel has been, Miami out front; Boston, trying to essentially cut them off—I’m skeptical [the Bucks] push it through the draft & ignore their own deadline.” Sam Amick

VIKINGS JERSEY GIVEAWAY on VikesNow! Never done a giveaway before, so let’s change that. If Jordan Addison is traded in a package that nets the #Vikings a 2nd Round Pick*, I will give away a jersey (the $130 one on NFL Shop) of the winner’s choice and have it shipped directly to them. I will honor this offer if he’s traded for a 2nd Round Pick in 2026 BEFORE the Draft (obviously), and if he is traded AFTER the draft for a 2027 2nd Rounder, I will honor that as well. The jersey will be given away a bit later in the offseason. If Addison is not traded, I’ll go ahead and give one away anyway, just a little bit later before the 2026 season begins. A few simple requirements: - Must be following BREVY BRIGHTLIGHTS - Must be subscribed to the VikesNow YouTube channel (link below) - Must retweet this post anytime between now and the release of the final 53-man roster. Winner will be chosen at random with proof at time of drawing. #SKOL #SweatBloodTears

“Miami is the front runner to me until I hear concrete evidence that anyone has beaten the offer that’s been sitting there for a long time. We don’t know exactly what it is… I’m not ruling out a mystery team that might jump in… I would still brand Miami the front runner but obviously the Bucks are waiting for more from them.” — Zach Lowe on Giannis to Miami

Bobby Marks says the Miami Heat make the most sense for the Bucks to trade Giannis: “I still think it’s Miami. They check the three boxes MIL would be looking for. A win now player with Tyler Herro the former All Star… young players on controllable contracts with Kel’el Ware and Jaime Jaquez. Then you look at the draft equity. Miami has the 13th pick in this draft” (h/t SM Highlights)
