That’s the point. Some people aren’t able to drink a normal amount. What a dumbass this guy is

If you’re drinking a normal amount, I actually like this take. I was a raging alcoholic and literally would’ve died if I didn’t stop, so that’s a bit different lol. At the end of the day people can mostly do what they want, if you enjoy some beers, enjoy some beers.

the issue is that some people can't drink a "normal" amount, his advice here is just telling alcoholics to drink less, they've heard it before

Get “sober” and eat/smoke/vape weed until you’re a subdued, antisocial pussy that passively accepts a shittier life year after year. Drinking definitely has it dangers but I’d argue weed is much worse. Imagine if the founding fathers were potheads.

Quitting drinking alcohol isn’t a “trend” it’s just normal well-adjusted adults deciding to make a positive health decision. But yeah go ahead and keep coping as your body fails at 60

What a complete idiot. The same self absorbed person that thinks when other people decide to quit drinking or never start is a statement about him.

Lol I’m sober and I agree with him. Sobriety sucks and it’s boring as fuck

That’s not his view. He’s regurgitating someone else’s sentiments. Interviewer should have dug a little to see how committed he was to the bit.

He’s right… until you become an alcoholic. You don’t know when it happens, but when it does there’s no going back to being a recreational drinker. Sadly it took me losing everything and 16 years of my life to find this out.

It’s called being a gentleman. Hold your liquor and don’t embarrass yourself.

Half the dudes I know that quit drinking because they want to get healthy, still eat garbage daily, don’t exercise and are fat as fuck.

I can identify with this sentiment, however, there are many people I have been around when they are drunk and all I can say is, "they never should drink again" because they are miserable to be around when they are drunk. They can't do 1 or 2 beers like a normal person.

the problem is that alot of people make claims they’re alcoholics or adhd or whatever else is trending to justify their silly actions and then they double down when they “defeat or overcome” their made up addiction or condition. they are seeking the attention and recognition from their “sobriety” more than the actual life improvement. It actually becomes harder over time to identify the real people who do need help and celebration of their progress because people become exhausted from the constant “ look at me and my journey to sobriety” crowd so they tend to just dismiss and move along

The world would probably be better with more people of sober mind?

The “sober curious” or whatever fad is annoying. Performative sobriety is annoying. But he says “be a normal guy. Drink a normal amount” I can’t. I tried every which way. Many such cases.

Some people get sober not because it’s “trendy”. But because they have to.

I don't drink often because I get abnormally awful hangovers from very little alcohol but I agree here, mostly for social reasons. I think it's good for people to get out and get a little loose every so often.
