Five 🔫 were reportedly found on or near Albuquerque school campuses Wednesday. At West Mesa High School, two students were arrested and placed in juvenile detention. Police say the student seen in the video allegedly had a 🔫 in his backpack, while another student reportedly had a firearm tucked into his waistband. Two students at Albuquerque High School were also accused of bringing 🔫 onto campus that same day. Police also responded to a similar situation at Del Norte High School, where officers detained a girl and her boyfriend after reportedly finding a 🔫. He argued that online platforms can heavily influence young people and urged authorities and lawmakers to reassess how children are allowed to use them. The attack left two students dead, including the Grade 9 student identified by police as the gunman and a Grade 10 student he shot. Two others were injured. Authorities said the attacker brought firearms onto campus and livestreamed parts of the incident using a body-worn camera before dying at the scene. Padilla said social media can give young people a platform where violent thoughts can be acted out or displayed. He also said the kind of brutal violence now being seen among young people reminded him of crimes he witnessed while detained in Bilibid, renewing his push for stronger restrictions on minors’ access to social media. Investigators have yet to determine what drove the attack. Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said authorities are reviewing the gunman’s gaming and chat history as part of a broader forensic examination, stressing that conclusions on motive should only come after the investigation is complete. According to this report, the guy (other reports claiming he was a tranny but not confirmed) had a rifle, shotgun, and handgun. Reportedly no fired cases were found inside the church/school indicating he only fired from the outside in which seems to explain why the killed/injured number is relatively low considering a rifle and shotgun were involved.
