Just 10k North Koreans "mobilized", if that's all then the Russians will continue to struggle and it might even get worse. At the current rate of casualties it's just going downhill for them if they don't substantially mobilize.

Zelensky: In effect, the Russians have already begun additional mobilization – they are increasing the number of people they recruit through various means. They also plan to increase the recruitment of foreigners, and it is important that the governments of the countries from which Russia recruits people into its ranks counter this. We will inform every relevant government.

🇺🇦 Russia is preparing for a new mobilization, while Ukraine hopes to achieve peace this autumn According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Kyiv believes that diplomatic efforts, Ukraine's long-range strikes, and sanctions imposed by its allies could increase pressure on Russia to the point where it has no alternative but to seek peace. At the same time, Zelensky said that Putin intends to prolong the war. “He is preparing another mobilization and new strikes. We see Russia's true intentions, we are uniting our partners, and we are increasing pressure on the aggressor,” he said.

🤡 Denial No. 18: the Kremlin is once again swearing there will be no mobilization “No. There are no such plans,” Dmitry Peskov told RTVI in response to reports that Russia could call up another 300,000 people by the end of the year. And this is already at least the 18th such denial since the start of summer. Important Stories had counted 17 denials by September 15, with Peskov’s latest statement adding another one. Meanwhile, Bloomberg reported that senior Russian officials and military recruitment office employees are trying to open bank accounts abroad, move assets out of the country, and are advising friends and relatives to leave Russia amid fears of a new mobilization. ISW says that if Russia continues the war at its current casualty rate, the Kremlin will likely have to change its recruitment system in the medium term and resort to some form of compulsory call-up of reservists. Analysts also believe the repeated denials may be aimed at preventing another mass exodus from Russia like the one seen in 2022. But we all remember just how reliable the Kremlin’s “there are no such plans” usually turns out to be.

🇺🇦🇷🇺🇰🇵 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Russia is preparing for a major escalation of the war, including a new wave of mobilization and deeper military cooperation with North Korea. According to Zelensky, Ukrainian intelligence has obtained comprehensive information on Moscow's plans for the autumn. He stated that Vladimir Putin is laying the groundwork for an expanded mobilization, preparing to send more Russians into the war while masking the effort through different rhetoric and political messaging. Zelensky also claimed that Russia intends to receive an additional 30,000 North Korean troops, with preparations reportedly underway in Russia's Voronezh region to accommodate their arrival. In addition, he said North Korea is preparing to supply Russia with new ballistic missile launch systems, while Moscow continues to help Pyongyang improve its military capabilities by providing battlefield experience, weapons development, and operational expertise. Zelensky concluded by saying that Ukraine is aware of these plans and will continue to resist them. If these assessments prove accurate, they would signal a significant deepening of the Russia-North Korea military partnership. Beyond reinforcing Russia's manpower, the cooperation could accelerate North Korea's military modernization by exposing its forces and weapons to real combat conditions, creating long-term security implications that extend far beyond the war in Ukraine. ⚡️ Zelensky: “Everything is confirmed by internal Russian documents — they are preparing a mobilization for the fall” Russia will launch the mobilization immediately after the sham parliamentary elections, Volodymyr Zelensky said. Putin plans to throw several hundred thousand Russians into the trenches by the end of the year, and the same number again next year. “This is on top of the recruitment targets they are trying to meet through military contracts,” Zelensky said in his evening address. Ukrainian intelligence and security services have already been given their orders — to do everything possible to make it harder for Russia to carry out this plan.

Zelensky said Mykhailo Fedorov will remain on his team, with his future role to be announced later. Responding to protests, the president said people were right to demonstrate and added that the government has no secrets from society, only from Russia. Zelensky also said Ihor Klymenko is being considered for defense minister, though no nomination has yet been submitted to parliament. He said the next minister must address mobilization and the work of recruitment centers, including finding a more respectful approach. Zelensky added that abusive forced-mobilization practices must be eliminated and said this could be one of Klymenko’s strengths. #Ukraine
