I raised my concerns today regarding free speech on our university campuses. 🏛️ Whether it's Zionist views, gender-critical perspectives or climate scepticism, there is a demonstrable two-tier approach to free speech playing out across our higher education institutions and it is students who are bearing the brunt of it. The Higher Education Freedom of Speech Act was passed precisely to give students the right to bring complaints to the Office for Students. I posed this to the Minister today and I do not believe his response was correct. It is, after all, called the Office for Students, not the Office for Everyone on Campus Except Students. Today marks the first visit by a President of Honduras to Ukraine since we regained our independence. It is very important that Ukraine’s partners come here and see with their own eyes what Ukrainians are going through. That is why we are grateful for this visit at this particular moment. We discussed with Nasry Asfura the key directions for the development of our bilateral relations: trade, the agricultural sector, the economy, and digitalization. Honduras is interested in this, and we are ready to help here. Security was also discussed. Today, in military technologies, particularly drones, Ukraine is among the strongest in the world. We are ready to help those who help us. I thank the President and his team for supporting us on all key geopolitical platforms. On the one hand, Ukraine must defend itself, and we need air defenses to protect the lives of our people. On the other hand, we need the same level of protection for our geopolitical interests so that this Russian war ultimately ends with a reliable peace. Thank you!

Today, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania Elisa Spiropali is visiting Ukraine. This visit comes at a very challenging time for Ukraine and for our people. And it is a strong signal of support. We also value the fact that today the Minister is not only here, but also personally visiting and supporting our warriors undergoing rehabilitation. First and foremost, during the meeting we discussed military cooperation – defense production, the integration of Ukraine and Albania into the European Union, which is a shared goal of our countries, and the development of the PURL initiative, specifically Albania’s possible participation in the initiative this year. Separately, I informed the Minister about our diplomatic efforts with partners in pursuit of peace. We also discussed strengthening sanctions against the Russian Federation. Sanctions are a critically important tool for undermining Russia’s ability to continue the war. I awarded Elisa Spiropali the Order of Princess Olga, I class. Thank you for supporting Ukraine. We are very grateful to Albania for its support from the very beginning of this war.

I had a meeting with Speaker of the Parliament of Serbia Ana Brnabić. The main focus of our conversation was the process of European integration. This is a strategic goal for both of our countries. We also discussed intergovernmental cooperation and partnership for regional security. I am grateful to Serbia for its support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity. I also thank the First Lady of Serbia for taking part in the Summits of First Ladies and Gentlemen and for her attention to the issue of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. This is a very important matter for Ukraine, and we appreciate the support.

Why is it important that Panjab University should remain with Punjab and no centeralisation. This farmer has one acre of land. Wanted higher education for his children. His son cleared JEE mains with flying colours got a seat in Delhi. Fees being beyond their reach they opted for Panjab University’s UIT today he’s placed in a top IT company and getting a good salary. We want education to be affordable and accessible to our children from Panjab. We must understand that centralisation also means that education out of reach. Colleges in Chandigarh itself has reservation for Chandigarh students. Panjab University is a place where quality and affordable education and first prefrefrence should be of Punjab's students. This University was transferred from Lahore to Chandigarh. Panjab University is for Punjab and so shall it be.

Violence against women and girls is not inevitable, and working with determination across our society, we can end it. I had the privilege of joining students at Craigavon Integrated College to discuss the vital role young people can play in driving this change. It was deeply moving to also be joined by the family of Natalie McNally. Their courage and commitment to campaigning on this issue is truly inspirational. Ending violence against women and girls is a priority, and through the Executive’s Change Fund, we’re investing in grassroots projects that tackle misogyny at the heart of our communities.

Today, during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye to Ukraine we discussed diplomacy, all the real opportunities that exist and those that must be created. I also had a good meeting with U.S. Senators Graham and Blumenthal. I thank them for their support of Ukraine, their support for diplomacy, and their efforts to bring moral clarity to the situation. It was Russia that started this war. It is Russia that must stop the killings and the destruction of lives. It is very important that this is voiced in the media, in Congress, and in all the world’s influential offices. If Russia continues to speak in the language of ultimatums, if it tries to blackmail the world with the continuation of war, it must receive a strong response — a response from the United States, from Europe, and from everyone around the world who wants peace and who has declared their support for a ceasefire and for diplomacy.

I am always glad to talk with a true friend of Ukraine, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak, for these are always very meaningful meetings with a powerful result for our common security! Today, I noted the recent transfer of Storm Shadow long-range missiles to 🇺🇦. These are exactly the weapons we need today. They help us win. I informed him about the situation on the frontline. To protect our population and civilian infrastructure, it is necessary to create an "air shield" over 🇺🇦 cities. We discussed the issue of Ukraine's expectations from the #NATOSummit in Vilnius. It is important for 🇺🇦 to receive a clear signal about the prospects of membership in the Alliance, which will be another motivating factor for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the entire 🇺🇦 people. I thank the 🇬🇧 and Mr. Prime Minister personally for the assistance provided to Ukraine. For the leadership in creating a tank and aviation coalition, in particular in readiness to start training 🇺🇦 pilots.

Zelensky: For the first time, the American side is responding positively to the idea of licenses for the production of our missiles. Previously, I raised this issue and provided this information, beginning with President Biden’s administration, but we never received anything. Now, God willing, they will conduct all the necessary consultations with the relevant parties, manufacturers, the administration, and the military. I very much hope they will come back with a positive answer and that we will be able to obtain licenses so that our companies, our private sector, and our state defense enterprises can help Ukraine, and also help countries in the Middle East and Europe.

I met with participants of the Ukrainian Youth Forum “Youth Acts.” Today, our country celebrates Youth Day. Of course, for all of us, security is the first priority. But the Government must also take very specific, clear action to support all normal forms of public life in Ukraine – so that Ukrainian families, our people, our youth, and our children have a normal environment for life in Ukraine, one that is as fulfilling as possible. The renewed Government of Ukraine is now preparing the Cabinet of Ministers’ program of action, and I expect that civilian aspects of life, and youth policy in particular, will receive sufficient attention in the Government’s program. And we all understand the depth of this task – it is not simply about something the state can give, or something a person can do – independently or in cooperation within their community or with the state. It is much more than that. It is about reasons to stay in Ukraine, to live in Ukraine, to plan your own life and your family’s life in Ukraine, and to know that Ukraine will care about you and your family, about your future.

And the first bell is always special – it marks the beginning of new knowledge, new dreams, and new achievements. Today, I shared this spirit together with the students of one of the schools in the Kyiv region. I spoke with the children and teachers. The school has everything needed for safe, comfortable, and engaging learning. Accessibility has also been ensured here, which is very important. This is exactly how we must support our children – by helping them and creating conditions where they want to study, grow, and dream big. I thank everyone who works in this way, everyone involved in education.
