🇮🇱🇦🇺⚠️ WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?! Westerners need to watch this clip of Netanyahu because what he’s saying is deeply manipulative, invasive, and frankly unacceptable. Here, Netanyahu is lecturing a sovereign Western country, blaming Australia’s elected government for a terror attack carried out on Australian soil, because Canberra didn’t obey Israel’s political demands. Here’s what he literally claims: 🔹 Australia “caused” antisemitism by recognizing a Palestinian state. 🔹 Albanese “let the disease spread” by not following Israel’s preferred policy. 🔹 The Bondi attack happened because Australia showed “weakness.” 🔹 Western governments must act according to what Israel expects, or terrorism will “consume you as well.” There were no condolences, no expressions of solidarity, only political coercion using a domestic Australian tragedy as leverage. There is zero evidence linking the Bondi attack to Australia’s diplomatic position, and yet Netanyahu frames a lone attacker as the consequence of Western governments refusing to align with him. It gets worse, Mossad has now entered the Bondi investigation. Israel is inserting itself directly into an internal Australian case while its Prime Minister publicly blames Australia for the attack. Ask yourself: Since when does a foreign leader get to publicly shame a Western government for its democratic foreign policy? Since when is a domestic terror investigation handed influence from a foreign intelligence service? And why is he blaming Australians, instead of the attacker? Netanyahu’s message to the West is “Follow our political line or your citizens will die, and it will be your fault.” That crosses every line of respect between sovereign states and sounds like a direct threat. The fact more Westerners are not furious at this level of intrusion and manipulation is astonishing.

The horror of the US physician residency system aside, I feel like people need to remember that everyone has different goals as a streamer?! Because of its roots, VTubing always seems to idealize going corpo or "making it big" but there are still people who genuinely DO NOT CARE. I am a vtuber because it's fun, streaming is a hobby, and I would prefer to hang out with friends who share my interests rather than my boomer doctor coworkers who only talk about boats and golf?? I've streamed this sporadically for the past eight years, and becoming an anime man on the internet did not change anything about that. I quadrupled my follower count in the past few months from some silly posts, and yet I have zero desire to chase growth as a metric for my own personal achievement. I already have a career that I enjoy and dedicate myself to, and vtubing is something that will always take a backseat to that. But I can certainly still enjoy my time as doctor irl doctor vtuber saikenMD without having to submit to this notion that my investment needs to pay off in sponsorships, networking, or scheduled content creation. Joining a company to control my brand, hiring a manager to give advice on things I do not care about, or using my name as a code to get 10% off on whatever, is not something that is going to help me accomplish what I want to do here. Sometimes, I'm just answering medical curiosities for people who do not have anyone else in their lives whom they can ask. I do not need to turn a profit to consider my creative outlet "worthwhile," I literally waste money doing this stuff; but that's okay BECAUSE IT'S GENUINELY A GOOD TIME!!!!! like just let me live damn

🚨Former Israeli Acting President Avraham Burg: Iran was NOT an existential threat for Israel, Netanyahu launched a WASTED war! ‘Hezbollah at the northern part of Israel is a problem, as an uncontrolled substate militia, it’s a problem for the Lebanese government, for the Israelis and maybe even for the Syrians. I mean, the entire triangle of the northern part of Israel should be troubled by the very existence and the kind of independence of Hezbollah. And something is to be done about it. Iran was not, if you ask me, an existential threat to Israel. It was a real problem. It was a real threat with the proxies and the fire and the fire belt around Israel and the provocations all over the Gulf and all over the Middle East. But it was not such an existential threat and could have been dealt differently by diplomacy, by agreements, by different equilibrium and balances. And last but not least, Hamas proved that October 7th 2023, that it is really very, very, very malicious and very criminal when it comes to their motivation to annihilate the state of Israel and to kill as many Israelis as possible. All these three are problems that Netanyahu believed, and unfortunately too many Israelis still believe that can be solved by muscles, by power, by military manoeuvres, without understanding the very ancient wisdom of war. A war that does not have a next step, which is political, which is agreement, which is a settlement, which is a kind of a new setting, is a wasted war. And all the victims, be them Israelis or be them Lebanese or innocent Gazan people or innocent Iranian people, are simply human sacrifice. It’s a waste. It’s a shame.’ -Avraham Burg joins us for Monday’s episode of Going Underground to discuss the US-Israeli war on Iran, and much more. In this convincing critique, retired Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, former Commander of U.S. Army Europe, expresses deep skepticism regarding the feasibility of proposed security guarantees by Trump for Ukraine. “There is no such thing as Article 5-like.” - Ben Hodges. “Does any Ukrainian, any Ukrainian believe for one second that vladimir putin will live up to any agreement? Of course not. Nobody believes that, that putin could be trusted. The only way that he would not fill into the whatever part that Ukrainian troops came out of would be if there were thousands of American, German, British, French soldiers sitting there. That's, otherwise, it will be a very short amount of time before you have either Russian troops or you have Rosgvardia or some other unknown separatist quasi-things that the Russians would try to say, "Well, that's not us. We didn't do that," just like they did back in 2014. So how anybody could trust that Russia would actually live up to some agreement like that, I think that that would really be, you'd have to suspend belief to accept that. The idea of this when I hear this phrase "Article 5-like," I mean, what does that mean? Article 5 means an armed attack on one shall be considered an armed attack on all. So if the United States is offering Article 5-like, that means if Russia attacked Ukraine again, then that would be as if Russia had attacked the United States. Do you really think, does anybody really think that this administration would actually do something about it? And what's an attack? Is it one Shahed drone or does it have to be 500 Shahed drones or Russian troops overrunning, you know, another Ukrainian city? I mean, what constitutes an armed attack? So there is no such thing as Article 5-like. I mean, this administration does not even enforce the sanctions it has already put in place. India's oil import from Russia has gone up in October and then again in November, even though these latest tough sanctions were put in place. So I personally, I have zero confidence that the Trump administration would do anything to enforce this kind of agreement. Now again, the burden and the risk is on Ukraine, not on old retired people like me on the outside watching. But as I look at what's happened over the last year and indeed over the last several years, I would be very reluctant to agree to something with Russia if it depended on Russia living up to it in good faith or depending on the United States. This is where you would have to see a very strong European force that was there, not one that's sitting in Poland, but a European force in Ukraine that has real capability, has real rules of engagement, and has the capability to shoot back immediately when Russia tests—as they inevitably will test immediately.” ( Full interview in the comments )

Meet Mahalingappa Itnal, a farmer from Karnataka who just changed the game.🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽 For centuries, jaggery (gur) has been made almost exclusively from sugarcane, a crop that takes nearly a full year to grow and demands huge amounts of water. But Mahalingappa stood in his corn fields and asked a question so simple it had been overlooked for generations: “Why are we throwing away the stalks?” Corn stalks are usually treated as waste and burned, discarded, or left to rot after the harvest. Mahalingappa saw potential instead of waste. Through experimentation and persistence, he figured out how to extract juice from corn stalks and convert it into jaggery. The result? A nutritious, natural sweetener made from a crop that matures in just 90–120 days. This single insight quietly disrupts an entire system. Corn requires far less water than sugarcane, grows faster, and is already cultivated widely across India. Farmers can now earn additional income from what was once agricultural waste, without waiting a full year for returns. Less water stress. Less burning of crop residue. More resilience for small farmers. What makes this even more powerful is that the solution didn’t come from a lab, a multinational, or a billion dollar agri-tech firm. It came from lived knowledge, observation, and indigenous innovation , something Indian farmers have always had, but are rarely credited for. Time and again, traditional wisdom and grassroots innovation were dismissed as “unscientific” or “backward.” Only later does modern science arrive to validate what farmers already knew instinctively: that nature wastes nothing, and sustainability lies in working with the land, not extracting from it. Mahalingappa Itnal didn’t just make jaggery from corn stalks. He redefined waste, challenged monoculture thinking, and reminded us that some of the most powerful innovations grow quietly in our fields. Yes, corn stalk jaggery is more nutritional, not by hype, but by chemistry and biology. This is the future of agriculture. It’s local, regenerative, farmer-led.

//The Wire//1300Z September 28, 2026// //PRIORITY// //BLUF: INCIDENT REPORTED AT RAF FAIRFORD AS MULTIPLE MEN ARRESTED IN MULTIPLE VEHICLES NEAR THE AIRBASE PERIMETER.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- United Kingdom: Yesterday a possible terror attack was foiled at Fairford Airbase, after a group of men were discovered acting suspiciously in the vicinity of the base. Local authorities state that a local farmer visually observed three vans parked in the roadway just outside the base. When the farmer approached the vehicles blocking the road, a group of masked men fled from the scene. After the alarm was raised, authorities responded and a total of five men were detained after being found hiding in the woods near the van site. A search of their vans revealed large containers of hazardous material, which prompted a mass evacuation of the local area. A total of 85x homes were evacuated for several hours while EOD personnel examined the contents of the vans, with residents being allowed to return to their homes last night. All five suspects have been detained, and government officials have declined to officially attribute motive. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: As this is a developing situation, many of the details as presented to the public either are not clear, or do not make much sense in terms of what attack might have been planned. Right now, the finger is being pointed at Iran for this incident for obvious reasons, however before attribution can be laid on any group or nation, the basic facts of the case must be ironed out. Government officials and media groups are insinuating that this was a Vehicle Borne IED (VBIED) attack that was foiled before it could materialize. Other claims are being made suggesting that this incident is not terrorism...but rather a group of thieves who were trying to steal diesel from the farm that they were discovered at. Examining the Most Deadly theory first, if it was a VBIED attack, it would be one of the most unorthodox VBIED attacks in history, for many different reasons. First of all, multiple people being located in each vehicle is odd; these types of attacks almost never result in multiple attackers being located in the same vehicle...it's almost always just one person inside the VBIED. If multiple people are to take part in an attack, it would have made more sense for the additional personnel to travel to the site in separate vehicles, to conduct a more complex attack (such as the infamous Bataclan attack back in 2015). In this case however, local authorities have not stated whether or not any small arms were found inside the vehicles, and no ideological material (such as flags, banners, or other paraphernalia) was found either. Additionally, the local farmer who claims to have been the original source for visually observing these individuals stated that she initially became suspicious after these men were seen wearing hoods and masks. If this observation is true (and it probably is), this is another detail that does not make sense. VBIED attacks are usually a one-way trip, and therefore the attackers aren't normally concerned with keeping their identity a secret. On the contrary, they usually want to be known publicly as martyrs, so wearing masks goes against nearly all other similar attacks. Furthermore, the attackers were spotted by the farmer blocking the roadway, and fled from the scene on foot after the farmer drove up on them. This is once again another clue that something is amiss. Normally, once a terrorist begins moving into the final stages of their attack and starts maneuvering to the attack site, a series of events is in place that would be difficult to stop. Once they've committed to the attack, violence from authorities is usually the only thing that can stop an attack at that point. Following the narrative as presented, five very physically fit Military Aged Males spent months planning an attack, had obtained three vehicles packed with explosives, had arrived at the attack site, and were preparing the attack...but were shooed away by an unarmed British lady right as they were about to detonate. This framing makes absolutely zero sense unless the story as presented is missing large and very critical details. Another discrepancy is the exact location of where the vehicles were discovered blocking the road. The farmer who made the discovery found these men and their vehicles at a junction on Horcott Road, a quiet English lane just to the east of the base itself. This road is nowhere near a main entrance to the facility. Speculating a bit (and following the VBIED theory), it is possible that the attackers intended to attack the perimeter fence itself, and not a main gate. Right at the junction where the vehicles were parked is a farm which features a small path that leads somewhat close to the perimeter fence itself. However, based on the satellite imagery (which the attackers surely would have had) this is a rather poor attack site. There is no High-Speed Avenue of Approach, and even if they detonated their cargo right where they were sitting, it's not very likely that any military aircraft at the base would have been damaged (although a LOT of citizens would have been killed). There are several other points where the attackers could have breached the perimeter, including one site that is directly on a main road, easily accessible, and offered absolutely zero resistance to a vehicle ramming through the flimsy fence to drive directly onto the runway itself. If the attackers were dedicated enough to fill three vans with explosives in an attempt to carry out one of the most substantial IED attacks in British history...they would have had to drive past one of the most devastatingly vulnerable parts of the base, to pick a far less effective target. Now that the jig is up and base security is heightened, there is no risk to pointing out this glaring vulnerability, because base security have parked heavy vehicles near all of the gates that are easy to ram through. This indicates that the vulnerabilities along the base perimeter were genuine...and the alleged terrorists did not choose to exploit them for some reason. Finally, the vehicles themselves provide a major clue which adds helpful context that must be considered in the broader context of what might have happened. At least one of the vans was marked with the logo of "Fuel 2You" a fuel delivery company, which provides fueling services to machinery and industrial sites, for customers who need small fuel deliveries. However, the logo is NOT the same as the company...they misspelled the name. The vans are marked with "Fuel 2YOU", but the actual company is stylized as "FUEL2U" with the letter "U". The logo is also green in the United Kingdom; the red logo that the suspects copied is from an American company. This small detail alone is the strongest evidence of malign action. Camouflage is an act that, when discovered, betrays intent to conceal something. And in this case, it's fantastic camouflage, because if a terrorist were to be pulled over with barrels full of flammable liquid, there is no better camouflage than to take on the identity of a company that is known for operating mobile gas stations. The problem is that the suspects googled "Fuel 2 You" and got the logo from the American company, instead of the British company that is called "Fuel2U". The actual company released a statement confirming that their company likeness was used by the suspects without their permission, and that these vehicles had no affiliation with their company whatsoever. As a result of this final detail, the suspects were almost certainly up to no good, but exactly what they were planning is up for debate and will have to be determined later on. The use of camouflage on their vans is a clever trick that would support either the VBIED theory or the diesel theft theory, but adding up all of the details that are known, every factor lines up more with the diesel theft theory than the VBIED theory. Speculating on the diesel theft theory, everything so far makes sense. A band of thieves masquerading as a fuel delivery service company, and using that as cover to steal fuel would be a rather slick criminal operation (that is, if they weren't dumb enough to use the wrong logo). Since the suspects were captured alive, it is certain that some information will be obtained, but for now a lot of guesswork is required both to determine what actually was being planned, and also what future threats might be still on the horizon. The discrepancies in the other details of the case indicate that this case is not as cut-and-dry as depicted in the media...there is very clearly something that the authorities are not telling the public. This does not necessarily indicate much on it's own; there is certainly enough wiggle room in the official story for everything to technically be true. Maybe the attackers got lost, or had a breakdown, or were not that great at planning. Maybe they weren't trying to conduct an attack at the time of their discovery, and were instead trying to stage IEDs for later on. On the other hand, it's also possible that these individuals were not terrorists, but rather thieves attempting to steal fuel from the farm at which they were caught. As it stands, the possibilities vary widely, and until more details are known we just don't know. More broadly, this incident is a high profile matter that will have several follow-on effects even if it was just diesel theft. First and foremost, the American B-1B bombers will probably be moved around the base, since news helicopters revealed where they are parked. Fairford is not the only base where American bombers are located, and these assets are rotated around fairly regularly anyway. Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAM) are certain to increase at all British bases where American forces are staged, with this incident highlighting the security vulnerabilities at major military installations throughout Europe. If pro-Palestine activists can break into a military airbase and damage aircraft with paint (as they did last summer at RAF Brize Norton), then legitimate and serious terrorists certainly can do worse. This latest incident is too close for comfort, and if this was an attack that was indeed imminent (before it was stopped), this would be a miracle that highlights the critical importance of a prepared and observant citizenry. Until we know more details, from a planning perspective it would be wise to treat this as a very serious threat that could have killed a lot of people. Regardless of who was behind it (and for whatever reason) if this was an attack and if it were to be carried out as claimed by initial reports, many lives would have been lost, nearly all of which would have been civilian. And the threat might not be over just yet. The local farmer who made the initial discovery has adamantly assured that she saw more than just the five men who were detained. If this is true and if there are other suspects on the loose, this could present a more persistent threat to the local area until they are found. 💥 In east end Toronto, a portion of Danforth Avenue is now a no-go zone… Drugs, chaos, and crime are wreaking havoc on law-abiding residents in the neighbourhood. Danforth Avenue (or “The Danforth” as it is locally known) is situated in east end Toronto. It is peppered with trendy cafes and boutiques as well as superb restaurants and pubs. As Hogtown neighbourhoods go, The Danforth is something of a gem. But there’s a section of the north sidewalk on Danforth Avenue between Main Street and Dawes Road that is now essentially a no-go zone. A homeless encampment has taken over the sidewalk here. Illegal drug use is rampant; overdoses are commonplace. As you would expect, litter abounds – ranging from fast-food packaging to human waste. It is a miserable place, populated by so many people who have clearly made wrong turns in life. Rebel News recently paid a visit to this section of Danforth Avenue. We wanted to speak to the unhappy campers here. While most declined to come on camera, those who did said the city’s homeless shelters are packed and they have no choice but to sleep on the streets. That may be feasible now, but what happens when winter sets in? Regardless, misery abounds. But the vibe here changed for the worse when individuals who appeared to be drug dealers arrived. And they were wearing trouble on their shirts. Little wonder: nosey Parker reporters are not good for business. With zero law enforcement presence in the area, we decided to depart given that there have been reports about these people being weaponized. This patch of real estate truly is a no-go zone. Residents in the area say they are frustrated and angered by this eyesore which has been ongoing for several months now. As for the shopkeepers on this stretch of The Danforth, the presence of junkies (and those drug dealers who cater to them) is making it all but impossible to eke out a living. Indeed, right next to the encampment is a furniture store. It looks as though it has been there for decades. But it won’t be there much longer: signs in the window advertise that the store is having a closing sale. Meanwhile, the City of Toronto 🇨🇦 simply shrugs its shoulders. As for the Carney Liberals, the day before we visited The Danforth, the Prime Minister cut another $100 million cheque for Palestine, making the total $600 million. All of which makes us wonder: whoever coined the phrase “crime does not pay”? And whatever happened to the idea of “charity begins at home”?

Gavin Newsom to eliminate up to 2 million home gardens in California Effected residents living in Los Angeles, San Diego and Riverside would be responsible for up to $13,000 to bring themselves into compliance “This policy he is spearheading, also called zone zero, would require that all these good standing trees and vegetation within a five foot radius of your house be removed. And that would include garden plants like fruits and vegetables. This policy will impact roughly 2 million homes within the state of California. And for somebody living in a part of this state like Los Angeles could cost you up to $13,000 to come into compliance. They're so generous about this, they're gonna give you 3 years to comply before they send some sort of inspector to your house. And the neat thing is if the inspector sees stuff that they don't like, they can just pull it out themselves. They can mess with your garden, they can mess with your plants, they can mess with your vegetation” “If you needed to know that Gavin Newsom was responsible for sure, here's the receipt. I mean, they passed two bills in the legislature to create a footprint for implementing something like this. Not only that, but because of the delay in this policy being implemented, here's the specific executive order from Gavin Newsom earlier this year that he wants zone zero regulations to be implemented by December 31st, 2025. And as you as you can see, this policy is so controversial that the California Department of Wildfires, which is responsible for implementing this, hasn't done it yet.“ This policy will affect homeowners the state designates high-risk wildfire areas in southern California, including parts of Los Angeles County Primarily impacts: Wildland-urban interface and certain neighborhoods in cities like Los Angeles (e.g., parts of Pacific Palisades, Altadena, Malibu, Rancho Palos Verdes), San Diego, Ventura, Riverside, and other fire-prone counties Residents must - Remove flammable vegetation, mulch, plants, and combustible materials (e.g., wood piles, flammable fences/outbuildings in that zone). - No live plants directly touching the structure; low-growing, only fire-resistant plants may be allowed

Larry Ellison just did in code what Washington couldn’t do in twenty years. Twenty years of hearings. Twenty years of funerals. Twenty years of the same argument while the body count climbed. Ellison stopped waiting. Ellison: “We think we can absolutely lock down schools… dramatically reduce the case of anyone being on campus that doesn’t belong on campus.” He is not lobbying Congress. He is not writing op-eds. He is writing software. The American school has always been a soft target dressed up as a fortress. A buzzer at the front door. A sign-in sheet nobody reads. A guard watching one hallway out of fifty. It worked because most days, nobody was trying. Ellison is deleting that fiction. Every face authenticated at the gate. Every inch of the campus watched by something that never sleeps. Every movement measured against a model of what belongs. Ellison: “The second someone pulls out a gun… use AI cameras to immediately recognize that.” The camera is not recording evidence for the trial afterward. The camera is hunting. It knows the silhouette of a pistol the way a hawk knows the silhouette of a rabbit. It triggers the lockdown before the first round is chambered. It seals the doors while the shooter is still deciding whether to walk through them. A human guard reacts in seconds. A terrified teacher reacts in seconds. A 911 call connects in minutes. A machine reacts in milliseconds and never looks away. We spent two decades treating this as a moral argument. Rights versus regulation. Access versus treatment. Prayers versus policy. The debate produced speeches. It never produced safety. Ellison treats it as an engineering problem. Make the attack architecturally impossible. The argument becomes irrelevant. That is the shift nobody voted on. The future of the American classroom is not being decided in the Senate. It is being decided in a server rack. Parents did not ask for this. Teachers did not design this. No child ever asked to be guarded by a camera that knows what a gun looks like. The fortress is going up anyway. While the country argued about the right answer, a handful of engineers shipped one. The school of the future is not a building. It is a perimeter enforced by code. And it will guard your children whether you asked for it or not.

The thing about war is, it’s not a one way street as Pete Hegseth would have you believe. Take a look at this report from the New York Times. As you can see, a series of satellite images were released showing damage at U.S. bases across the region, some of which killed American military personnel. The question is, do you believe the account of the Iranians or the ‘nothing to see here’ US account? It turns out the Iranian account is correct and the American response was to instruct satellite companies to remove the incriminating images. Just as Hegseth can’t bring himself to admit that they killed over a hundred elementary school girls on day one in an erroneous triple tap, he wants to hide the extensive damage caused by precision attacks by Iran on U.S. assets. We know time and again Trump has lied about Iran begging him to do a deal, and that as a result, billions have been made from market manipulation. Even now, he’s is claiming Iran wants a deal as fire is being exchanged in the Strait of Hormuz, exchanges that he yesterday described as ‘love taps’. In critical times of war it’s not a good look when enemy accounts of events are proved to be accurate while your own president and Secretary of Defense is found to be repeatedly lying. The cost of this conflict has been laughably estimated to be $25 billion when credible inside U.S. sources claim that over 50% of critical missile stocks have been depleted. The obvious question being, imagine what damage Iran could have done given the extensive ACTUAL damage the U.S. have tried to hide? The narrative is that Iran are days away from economic catastrophe, yet the CIA have reported that Iran could survive the U.S. blockade for up to three months. The whole U.S. narrative, just like the administration’s economic and foreign policy agenda is built on a lie, in a fantasy world that Trump expects us to join him, while it falls apart at the seams. It has been said time and again by military and foreign policy experts that this war of choice was a mistake. There has been no regime change or popular uprising. If anything the new Iranian leadership is more hardline than it was before. There was no imminent nuclear threat, that was just another in a litany of lies to justify what was an attempt to extort Iran and seize their oil as had happened in Venezuela. In his blinkered quest for glory and self enrichment, Trump assumed Iran was just another ‘shit hole country’ incapable of resisting the might of the U.S. military. He understood nothing of the Iranian decentralized command and control ‘mosaic strategy’. In his own words he did not think they would close the Strait of Hormuz or attack Gulf states. He simply expected Iran to capitulate, so Kushner and Witkoff could hand them his Qatari bank details for them to send him his cut of their oil sales. As things stand, he is out of options, the global South is creaking as their economies experience unnecessary distress, gas prices are at $4.50 and if he told the truth as opposed to lying, oil prices would likely be at $200 a barrel. The Strait of Hormuz is closed, the enriched uranium has not been removed. Iranian drone and missile stocks remain at over 50% with some estimates putting them at 70% and Trump is claiming victory, suggesting Iran has no cards. He’s living in a fantasy world having wasted billions and sacrificed American lives having inflicted irreparable damage to Gulf state alliances. The UAE has now left OPEC while China now describes the US as ‘A superpower with a limp’ In one stupid act, Trump has raised questions about U.S. military power when faced with an asymmetric kinetic response. Questions have arisen about US readiness when it comes to minesweepers and logistics capabilities as US sailors were shown to be rationing food. Nobody is doubting the ability of the U.S. military who performed exactly as expected. The problem is, they’re lions being led by donkeys. 🎥 TikTok -

Blaming Israel for Belleville synagogue shooting is blaming the victim A Belleville resident told Ezra Levant 🍁🚛 that the synagogue shooting happened because of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's action, something Ezra says isn't an explanation; it's an excuse and assigns collective guilt to Canadian Jews who may or may not support a foreign country. While reporting from Belleville on the Yom Kippur synagogue attack, Ezra Levant spoke with a local resident who was visibly shaken by what had happened in her city. She was friendly, she was decent, and she was clearly distressed. She also said something Ezra felt had to be challenged directly. Netanyahu, she said, has whipped this up. If Netanyahu were gone, things would improve. The attack on the Sons of Jacob synagogue was, in her telling, connected to what Israel is doing in Gaza. Ezra's response on Monday's Ezra Levant Show was unambiguous: "That's not true." The synagogue in Belleville is not an Israeli consulate. It is not the Israeli military. It is not even remotely a symbol of Israeli government policy. It is Canadian Jews, or simply Canadians, gathering to pray on the holiest day of their calendar. To suggest that attacking them is somehow a counterweight to Benjamin Netanyahu is to hold every Jewish person in Canada collectively responsible for the decisions of a foreign government they do not control and may not even support. But the deeper problem with that framing, Ezra argued, is what it implies about the nature of antisemitism itself. If Netanyahu is the cause, then removing Netanyahu is the cure. Elect a different Israeli prime minister and the Jew hatred dissipates. Except it doesn't — and it never has. Antisemitism predates the modern state of Israel. It predates Netanyahu by thousands of years. There were pogroms before Israel existed. There were massacres before Israel existed. The supply of reasons to hate Jews has always been elastic; if one reason is removed, another appears. If it wasn't Netanyahu, it would be something else. There is always something else. What Ezra thinks that woman was actually doing, and he said this charitably, not critically, is processing. Belleville is not a city that has been primed to absorb this kind of evil. When evil this deliberate arrives in a place that has no framework for it, the mind reaches for a manageable explanation. It wasn't random. It wasn't ideological. It was Netanyahu. It was provocation. It was something we did that can therefore be undone. That is psychologically easier than the alternative: that there are people who hate Jews, have always hated Jews, will always find a reason to hate Jews, and that no diplomatic adjustment or change of government will alter that. The same pattern appeared after September 11th, Ezra noted. The men who hijacked those planes were not shy about their motives. Radical Islam, as Ezra put it, despises the West because Western democracy is a standing challenge to the idea of a single global Islamic order governed by Sharia law. America is the great obstacle. Israel is the smaller one. They say so and they have always said so. And yet after every attack, a portion of the Western commentariat goes looking for the provocation — the colonial history, the micro-incident on Twitter last week, the foreign policy decision that finally pushed them over the edge. "You can furnish your own excuses for terrorism," Ezra said. "But you don't need to. The terrorists tell you why they're doing it." The man who opened fire on the Sons of Jacob synagogue in Belleville on Yom Kippur has already provided his explanation, whether he stated it explicitly or not. Providing him with a better one, one that roots the cause in Israeli politics rather than in his own choices, does not make the explanation more accurate. It makes the victims responsible for what was done to them.
