I tried Zipline once in Kerala a long time ago. After seeing their overall setup, safety protocol etc. I've never tried it again. It's better to stay away from rides, parasailing, gliding etc. as most of these are run by novices who have no idea of safety.

Adventure sports in India is an unorganised market controlled by untrained and unauthorised professionals who put everyone's life at risk for few bucks. I wonder why tourist engage themselves in such activities. Not many people know that the parasailing activity in Goa was stopped as the tourist was eaten by Shark in the midair. Not advised to engage in adventure sports in India.

Zip line must have double wire safety harness; one which holds your weight for performing the zip line and another one which ensures that incase zip line get broken then safety wire still holds you. In this case it is clearly visible that double wires were not there and most importantly her safety harness WAS NOT TIED PROPERLY that is why weight of the body suddenly took her down so even 2nd wire cannot hold her if present. CLEARLY FAULT OF PEOPLE who were managing this zip line at that time.

Instead of calling it "Zip Line Accident", it should be referred to as "Zip Line Criminal Negligence".

Accidents can happen anywhere but still. Tourism has been too far commercialised almost everywhere in india. There is no relaxing and break from your normal routine lives no matter where you go. Endless list of things to do and places to visit in short span.
