Easy to poke fun/sneer - think of them not as a tank, but a SP 100mm gun (potentially in large numbers and with lots of ammunition).

Is this actually happening? If so, it would seem that the stock that the USSR/Russia built up over 70 years is disappearing very quickly, never to be replaced. Has Putin sent the Army to be destroyed to save face? I feel mutiny on the cards.

Imagine these will make up the majority of losses the next 6 months down the road.

Only logical explanation is that🇷🇺's trying to send anything that shoots w/o any upgrade, so 🇷🇺 can have "time" to upgrade newer tanks, or that🇷🇺 losses are way higher than 11K visually confirmed by @oryxspioenkop 🇺🇦's hit so many concentration of troops & equipment in the🇷🇺rear!

Some may be converted to VIEDs, which have already been proven effective against AFU positions. Others may be used in urban combat, which by its nature removes many of the advantages of modern tanks.
