Islam teaches peace, justice, patience, and mercy, and we will not abandon these values even in the face of hostility. Extracts and lessons from today's sermon by Chief Imam of Makkah, Dr. Yasir Al-Dowsary, on social media! As I headed to Friday prayers today in the Middle East, the driver tuned into the radio, which was broadcasting the Khutbah from Masjidul-Haram in Makkah, live. (Video attached, please). Here is a brief summary of some key points and lessons from the khutbah that caught my attention. The Jumu'ah khutbah addressed several issues, including the dangers of social media (Tiktok, X, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Snapchat, among others). Many people often use social media for negative purposes rather than good. Unfortunately, social media platforms are being used for propaganda, character assassination, unsubstantiated allegations, hearsay, cyberbullying, spreading falsehoods, and fake news. It is essential for those who engage in these wrongdoings to be held accountable. The Noble Qur'an advises believers to verify the news before acting on it. Allah says: O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards, you become regretful to what you have done. (Quran 49:6). We are also reminded to use social media wisely, avoiding isolation and time waste. Be cautious of impersonator accounts spreading false information. Furthermore, verify the news before sharing, and remember that you are accountable for your online actions and inactions. Unfortunately, some individuals are paid to create and spread fake news, and sometimes, through hiding their names or the names of people who they assassinate their character for the fear of legal actions. They think they are clever, but they are half-witted, as they are mostly evil and getting paid to spread propaganda. Ultimately, you will be held accountable for promoting good or evil online in the hereafter. It is also beneficial for responsible individuals to counter fake news, propaganda, and social vices online. Leaders and followers are urged to be honest in the information they share and avoid propaganda or fake news. My take: In summary and in my opinion, (my mine) Propaganda and fake news, if left unchecked intellectually and/or legally, could change the course of history and make good look evil while making evil look good. I don't know if many people have come across this young scholar, but I've been following his lectures recently, and Alhamdulillah, I have benefited immensely. May Allah ﷻ keep him steadfast upon the truth and continue to increase him in beneficial knowledge. In this short clip, he reminds us of one of the greatest responsibilities we have: our parents. He said, "If your mother is still alive, you are fortunate. If your father is still alive, you are fortunate." Instead of asking others to pray for you, strive to earn the sincere du'a of your parents. Their prayers for their children are among the greatest blessings a person can have. Honour them. Serve them. Give them gifts that make them happy, as long as they do not involve disobedience to Allah ﷻ. Appreciate them while they are still with you. He also shared a profound reminder: whoever humiliates or mistreats their parents may live to see the same treatment from their own children. Likewise, when you honour your parents, Allah often blesses you with children who will honour you. As the saying goes: What you sow is what you reap. Be kind to your parent even if they're non Muslims. Obey them except when they command you to do what Allãh doesn't approve of. May Allah ﷻ make us among those who are dutiful to our parents, accept our service to them, and grant us righteous offspring. Āmīn.

Dear beloved Muslims, When people follow those who have never truly studied their religion with scholars or their students, the result is individuals who misguide rather than guide the masses. To the average observer, such actions may seem good — they see people praying publicly and assume this is a form of da‘wah. But we must look deeper. Firstly, it is obligatory for Muslim men to establish their prayers in the masjid. Choosing instead to pray in the streets — while neglecting the houses of Allah — is a serious matter. Secondly, how can khushū‘ (true humility and focus) be attained in the middle of loud, chaotic environments like Times Square? In such settings there is noise, distraction, and even open hostility. In some cases, people mock, shout, and disturb the prayer itself. So we must sincerely ask: Are these actions done for Allah… or for views, attention, and social media validation? True leadership calls people to Allah with humility — not performance. We advise our brothers and sisters: do not be deceived by social media personalities. Calling to Allah (da‘wah) is not built on spectacle, but upon knowledge, sincerity, and adherence to the Prophetic method. Those who truly invite to Allah must do so upon the way of the Prophet ﷺ — not upon what gains attention online. May Allah guide us all to sincerity and correctness. Ameen.

Surah An-Nisa 4:75-76 And what is it with you? You do not fight in the cause of Allah and for oppressed men, women, and children who cry out, “Our Lord! Deliver us from this land of oppressors! Appoint for us a saviour; appoint for us a helper—all by Your grace.” Believers fight for the cause of Allah, whereas disbelievers fight for the cause of the Devil. So fight against Satan’s ˹evil˺ forces. Indeed, Satan’s schemes are ever weak. Surah An-Nisa 4:84 So fight in the cause of Allah ˹O Prophet˺. You are accountable for none but yourself. And motivate the believers ˹to fight˺, so perhaps Allah will curb the disbelievers’ might. And Allah is far superior in might and in punishment. Surah An-Nisa 4:104 Do not falter in pursuit of the enemy—if you are suffering, they too are suffering. But you can hope to receive from Allah what they can never hope for. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. Surah Al- Maidah 5:33 Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and spread mischief in the land is death, crucifixion, cutting off their hands and feet on opposite sides, or exile from the land. This ˹penalty˺ is a disgrace for them in this world, and they will suffer a tremendous punishment in the Hereafter.1 Surah Al- Maidah 5:51 O believers! Take neither Jews nor Christians as guardians—they are guardians of each other.1 Whoever does so will be counted as one of them. Surely Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. Surah Al- Maidah 5:57 O believers! Do not seek the guardianship of those given the Scripture before you and the disbelievers who have made your faith a mockery and amusement. And be mindful of Allah if you are ˹truly˺ believers. Surah Al- Maidah 5:80-81 You see many of them taking the disbelievers1 as allies. Truly wicked are their misdeeds, which have earned them Allah’s wrath. And they will be in everlasting torment. Had they believed in Allah, the Prophet, and what has been revealed to him, they would have never taken those ˹pagans˺ as allies. But most of them are rebellious. Surah Al-Anfal 8:12 Remember, O Prophet,˺ when your Lord revealed to the angels, “I am with you. So make the believers stand firm. I will cast horror into the hearts of the disbelievers. So strike their necks and strike their fingertips.” Surah Al-Anfal 8:13 This is because they defied Allah and His Messenger. And whoever defies Allah and His Messenger, then ˹know that˺ Allah is surely severe in punishment. Surah Al-Anfal 8:14 That ˹worldly punishment˺ is yours, so taste it! Then the disbelievers will suffer the torment of the Fire.

The Israeli news channel uploaded this Israeli drone footage finally showing them killing a Palestinian fighter thinking it’d break our spirits but this melted our hearts and left us in awe. What a brave brother. What was going through his mind in his final moments? What was going through his mind as he ran alone towards the next building to stop the oppressors from advancing and heading towards the civilians. The son of Palestine picked up arms to protect his abandoned people as the world leaders and organisations watch the genocide play out before our eyes. What an honour for the Ummah to have such people among us. What an honour for the people of Palestine. What an honour for the people of Gaza. What an honour for the resistance. What an honour for his city. What an honour for his loved ones. What an honour for him. ❤️🥲 He raises his index shahada finger testifying to the Oneness of Allah after being hit in the back with a shrapnel yet somehow musters up all his energy and courage to fall into one final sujood as he departs from his world. This is how he will be raised on the day of judgment in front of Allah! Allahu Akbar. Abandoned by the whole world here is this man whose faith and conviction in the words of Allah remain steadfast as he supports our brothers, mothers and babies in Gaza. He puts himself as a shield in between the oppressed and the oppressor. Allah was enough for him and he couldn’t have asked for a better way to return back to Allah. He must’ve been so special for Allah to accept his duas and for his final moments to be in the manner it was. Allahu Akbar kabeera! We kiss their foreheads. Our heroes. "Islamic Ummah" By: Ofer Binshtok The identity of the Muslim is solely to be a part of the global Islamic nation, without any connection to a nation-state or to another culture that is not the Islamic nation. The idea of independent Islamic nation-states contradicts the Islamic idea as it is found in the Quran and the Sunnah of Muhammad. A Muslim, wherever he is in the world, is part of the Islamic nation. A nation that should be ruled by a caliph through Sharia law. Islam is a global political-religious worldview of a world without borders. The existing Islamic nation-states are actually an act of heresy. A disbeliever who converts to Islam must completely break away from his former identity, become part of the Islamic nation, and serve its purposes personally. Every Muslim, wherever he is, is personally obligated to act so that the Islamic nation will be established—that is to say, to collapse every nation-state that exists in the world so that the Islamic nation will replace it. The fact that the idea of ummah is included in the central motif of the Quran is evidence of the vital significance of this concept. In Islamic terminology, the term "Ummah" refers to the religious community, also known as the Islamic holy community. This is the primary interpretation of the phrase found in the Qur'an. Quran 2.128 "Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful." This Kafir Zindiq dare to speak about “unity” while your doctrine is built upon hatred of the Companions? Unity with those whom Allah جل جلاله praised in His Book or unity with those who curse them, belittle them, and accuse them? This individual who says and claims Aisha رضي الله عنها is a hypocrite or a zaniyah وأعيذه بالله وأعيذه بالله is he speaking in utter Kufr Allah جل جلاله Himself exalted her in His Book and honoured her above all women of her time. To attack her honour is to oppose what Allah جل جلاله has decreed and to directly attack the dignity of the prophet ﷺ Allah جل جلاله says He is pleased with the Companions. You claim otherwise. So what “unity” are you calling to? Unity upon contradicting the Quran? Let’s be clear there is no unity between truth and falsehood. You cannot insult Abu Bakr, Umar, and the كبار من الصحابة those who carried this Deen, preserved it, and conveyed it and then expect to stand shoulder to shoulder with those who love and defend them. This is not a small اختلاف. This is a fundamental contradiction in creed. The Deen reached you through those very Companions you attack. If you undermine them, you undermine the entire religion you claim to follow. There is no intellectual honesty in that, only contradiction and اتباع للهوى. “Unity” is not a شعار you hide behind when your beliefs are exposed. True unity is upon the truth upon the Quran and the Sunnah as understood by the Sahabah, not upon reviling them. So no we will not unite upon insulting those whom Allah praised. We will not compromise the foundations of the Deen to accommodate deviation. If you are sincere, then return to the truth. Honor those whom Allah honored. Stop speaking about unity while holding beliefs that shatter it at its core. Just as the people of Palestine cannot unite with those who oppress them, expel them, and deny their rights unity is not built with those who fundamentally oppose your very foundation. And even that is a worldly conflict. What you are calling to is far more dangerous because it strikes at the very core of the Deen itself. This is not about land, politics, or temporary ظلم. This is about belief, about the very carriers of this religion, about the integrity of Islam itself. If your doctrine is built upon reviling those whom Allah جل جلاله praised, then the contradiction is not small it is foundational. So do not speak to us about “unity” while holding beliefs that tear apart the very roots of the Deen. We do not unite upon falsehood. We do not unite upon contradiction. And we certainly do not unite at the expense of the truth. Any Muslim who promotes or amplifies this individual for the sake of Allah جل جلاله, distance yourself from me unfollow.
