I am a lawyer and a social worker, and I have previously been a political prisoner. I am critical of the government’s policies and some of the broader policies of the the Islamic Republic. However, since today the main figure defending Iran is Mr Khamenei, I participated in this rally for the first time in response to his call, so that others would not think that by emptying the streets, they could attack Iran or even dream of attacking it.
