China-Israel’s relations are solid and sound, based on common understandings and commitments. We might have disagreements on various policies, but nonetheless we regard each other in a respectable and dignified manner. The war that broke out on the 7th of October, is a war against one sole cause – to dismantle completely the military and administrative capabilities of the genocidal jihadist terror organization which is called HAMAS. A reminder to you all of Hamas’s charter published in 1988, which clearly cites its goals as a terror organization: “Israel will exist until Islam will obliterate it”, “there is no solution to the Palestinian problem except by JIHAD”, “the day of judgement will not come about until Muslims fight Jews and kill them all”. So very clear that HAMAS is not a benevolent organization with pure administrative motives as the sole ruler in the Gaza strip but a brutal jihadist organization that aspires to kill and murder in order to establish an Islamic caliphate in the whole Middle East and beyond. Hamas has not provided any administrative services to the poor Gazans, but used all donations and financial resources to build a huge military machine to kill Israelis and Palestinians as well. This is HAMAS that China shuns away from recognizing as a terrorist organization. The Global Security Initiative, officially published by the PRC’s government in February 2023, reads: “We encourage all countries to work together to address regional disputes and global challenges such as TERRORISM” (end of quote). Isn’t it clear enough that all countries, China included, should fight against terrorism and annihilate it from its roots? The world supported the global initiative to fight against yet one other Jihadist organization, ISIS, it should support all efforts to fight against the Jihadism of HAMAS. We expect China to officially voice out in its official briefings, that Hamas is a terrorist organization that committed a brutal massacre of innocent civilians on October 7th and should therefore be harshly condemned. Let’s talk about the Emmy awards, and Hollywood stars doing what they do best — act. Hannah Einbinder and Javier Bardem threw themselves into the role of pro-Palestine activists. Red, bloody hand, pins. Free Palestine slogans. Javier looked in character culturally appropriating a keffiyeh – like he was auditioning for a role on the Columbia University quad. The issue is, however well they perform, and however well intended they might be, and they might, that script doesn’t help Palestinians and will not make a single difference in ending the war in Gaza. It only deepens the divide and ignores the actual realities in the region. Hannah Einbinder said Jews must be separated from the State of Israel. Now, it’s true that Jews and the Israeli government are not the same thing. Obviously. But Hannah or חנה I have to break it to you: Jews, Judaism, our language, religion culture and tradition, come from Israel. We, and you too חנה are an indigenous people. Connection to Israel is an inseparable part of who we are as Jews, no matter how much you hate the Israeli government or this horrible war. And Javier, calling for boycotts of colleagues in the Israeli film industry is an attack on the most progressive, most inclusive and most diverse creative industry not just in Israel, but in the entire Middle East. You’re attacking the very Israelis who should be your allies in calling for this war to end. I get it. This war has been going on for too long, and war is horrific. But selective outrage and demonization of one side won’t bring it to an end. 🧵1/ I’m back from a short trip on a social network with photographs and videos from Gaza, with some brief personal conclusions. First, it is quite clear that there are those in Gaza who know how to make extensive use of the networks and social media for the purposes of emotional extortion and also false propaganda, exactly like they live streamed the October 7 massacre and somehow turned it into “justified resistance”, they use quite a few Western buzzwords such as “genocide”, “occupation”, “oppression” and “Zionism”- and this is the simplest way to distinguish between Hamas propaganda posts and authentic people in Gaza, whom I’ve known all my life, who use much simpler words and not this indoctrinated manipulation bullshit. I was looking for THESE authentic people - the real voices. And I think I found a few. So first of all, what do I think there is NOT happening in Gaza? There is no genocide and no famine. Yes, there is quite a lot of suffering, shortages in some places and lack of decent shelter etc. And there’s a lot of cynical exploitation of it for propaganda purposes. I’m saying it because you can see children are getting payed for it, you can see the absolute control of distribution and you can see how basic needs and the way out is blocked with money- Israel is not taking money for any of it, the West is sending free aid, so the money is demanded by those who want to control the suffering and use it. You should know, that before the war - there was already quite a lot of very poor population in Gaza, but now the economic difficulty has greatly increased for two main reasons: one, the war damaged many sources of livelihood and the second - a major source of livelihood was working in Israel and this option was closed for a long time now, since October 7, and is now much less operational. So in fact the main source of income is donations and funding from Hamas for control purposes of course. This is how, among other things, Hamas uses the population to "work for them", and also to smile or cry for the cameras on demand. Now on the issue of claimed famine- famine is when there’s NO food and water, enough for the population. As I said, my personal conclusion is that there is no shortage of food and water in Gaza at all. The problem is that the food is not distributed equally, it is controlled by those who are powerful (usually Hamas operatives) and then sold at high costs to the population without them having sources of livelihood. Food that should be distributed for #free is actually sold at a high price, the shelter tents are also paid for and the exit from Gaza is particularly expensive (5000$ that are paid to the transporters). There are quite a few who refer to Gaza as a "prison" but Gaza is not a prison, Hamas has simply created a situation where it is very expensive to leave it - and thus the poor and the new poor are completely dependent on Hamas and other clans (Hamulas) in everything to do with food, shelter and exit, and they play with them as pawns. If Gaza is a prison - then it’s because Hamas are imprisoning it. All the suffering in Gaza started because of #Hamas it continues and increases because of #Hamas, but the main point is that #Hamas is also the one factor that can stop it. If Hamas surrendered unconditionally and released the Israeli hostages, as done in any war in which you are forced to admit defeat - they would truly liberate Palestine. Remember- this is a war that #Hamas started, a war that on Oct. 7 was celebrated in the streets of Gaza. Dear Mom, family members, friends, and most specifically Palestinian friends who have been bombarding me with angry messages everywhere, I am not anti-Palestine. I am anti-Hamas. I am anti-terrorism. Palestinians are my brothers and sisters. I went to school in Yemen with many Palestinian refugees. But here’s the ”plot twist” – Israelis are also my brothers and sisters, and that does not sit right with many of you. I grew up my entire life caring about Palestinians and demonizing Israelis. Thankfully, I grew up and had the chance to meet Jews and Israelis outside of Yemen, and it opened my human eyes. I have also come to care for and understand Israelis. Israelis are human beings, just like the Palestinians, and they are worthy of peace and love. This has been the centerpiece of what I have been saying all along –pushing for coexistence and peace. I have not taken part in the war discourse. I have only taken part in the human discourse. My Yemeni culture, the schools I studied in, and the mosques I prayed in, stripped me off my humanity. I am proud to have regained my humanity and to share this with people. It’s not ”bad timing” to be expressing this. On the contrary, in times of division and hatred, when I see millions of my Arab and Muslim brothers and sisters popularize Jew hatred and the destruction of Israel, it is more important than ever for me to voice support to Israelis and Jews. I am not a war expert. I am not a war analyst. I don’t delve into subjects I do not know about. What I do know is, however, that Hamas are cold-blooded terrorists. They are our enemy. They are Israel’s enemy, and they are the Arab and Muslims’ communities' enemy. It doesn’t take a war analyst to understand this. I have seen the footage. I have personally spoken to October 7 survivors in Israel who miraculously fled from Hamas’ massacre, and everything they told me sent chills down my spine. Hamas are no ”freedom fighters.” They are terrorists. They kill their own people, they slaughter Israelis, they mutilate, rape, behead, and kidnap women. There is no difference between the horrors and terrorism of Hamas, ISIS, and AlQaeda. And saying all of this is not a defense of Israel’s war in Gaza. These are just facts. Calling these terrorists ”freedom fighters” or ”liberation fights” is a part of disinformation propaganda that has succeeded. The truth is, Hamas is the one who wants to continue this war. Katz’s statement makes it abundantly clear that they were wrong, and that those of us who called a spade a spade at the time were correct. The Israeli defense minister is simply following Trump’s position and reiterating what everyone who isn’t a blinkered partisan hack knew Trump was saying two weeks ago. He is doing this in exactly the same way Benjamin Netanyahu followed Trump’s position on ethnically cleansing Gaza last month by enthusiastically endorsing the plan Trump put forward to permanently remove all Palestinians from the enclave. Trump puts forward the plan, and Israeli officials put it into action. So you’ve got both the US and Israeli governments openly threatening the entire population of the Gaza strip with the war crime of collective punishment if they don’t somehow kick Hamas out of Gaza, and additionally announcing the intent to inflict “total devastation” upon that population if they do not. This is about as explicit an admission of genocidal intent as you can possibly come up with. In its genocide case against Israel in the International Court of Justice, South African prosecutors compiled a mountain of evidence of Israeli officials announcing the intent to commit genocide in Gaza, such as Netanyahu describing Gaza’s population as “Amalek” in reference to a Bible story about a people who were completely annihilated on the orders of God, or former Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant describing Palestinians in Gaza as “human animals” while declaring a “total siege” on the enclave. Here's another clip from Ron Paul in the early 2000s discussing the role of the US in funding both Israel and Palestine, and how many of the weapons being used to kill Palestinians are US weapons. Megyn Kelly was pro-Israel until after Gaza because enough is enough. What does that mean? What are her specific problems with how Israel handled Gaza?
