The Israeli occupation is besieging Al-Amal and Nasser hospitals in Khan Younis, preventing entry and exit, and demolishing the surrounding buildings — a repetition of the northern scenario that began with the destruction of the area around Al-Awda Hospital in Tal Al-Zaatar, the Indonesian Hospital, and Kamal Adwan Hospital, all aimed at forcibly displacing the population. What is happening is the implementation of a premeditated, systematic plan to empty Khan Younis of its residents. We are witnessing ethnic cleansing broadcast live, with no deterrence and no accountability, in one of the most documented crimes in history. We only have three days of fuel left. The World Health Organization informed us that it cannot deliver the fuel it has in storage, claiming the occupation has designated the storage locations as “red zones.” The occupation is deliberately working to destroy the entire healthcare system as part of its strategy of control and displacement. We are now nearing the fifth stage of famine — the stage of mass death. And the world watches in silence, sipping its coffee while massacres are carried out in Gaza.

Since the "ceasefire" was announced, the occupation has killed more than 930 people and injured over 2819 others... During Eid al-Adha alone, 35 people have been killed so far... Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, which serves more than half a million people, has suspended surgical operations after its fourth backup generator went out of service, and if the situation continues, other critical services such as intensive care units and neonatal wards may also stop... We are facing a crisis created by the occupation through preventing the entry of generator oil, spare parts, and electrical generators... There is a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies, with many items reaching zero stock levels, and this poses a very serious danger... The occupation prevents the entry of medicines, medical supplies, oils, and filters, while allowing candy, chocolate, and other non-essential goods to enter... The World Health Organization has reported 250000 cases of skin diseases, in addition to the spread of respiratory illnesses... We are fighting rodents inside the tents, where they have begun sharing our food and eating our children's flour... The occupation has enabled the spread of disease and the accumulation of waste, and with the collapse of sanitation services and shortages of water, it is effectively allowing illness to spread throughout Gaza.

🚫 "All the faces that laughed in this video.. are now under the earth by order of the killers!".. With these burning words, we mourn a constellation of our finest youth who appeared in these scenes before being assassinated by the criminal hand of the "de facto authority" gang. These young people, who were beaming with life and hope, were not spared from the hatred of the mercenaries and barbarians who occupy Syria by force. This criminal gang turned their beautiful moments into a painful memory and annihilated their dreams in the treacherous Coast massacres to prove to the world that it is the enemy of all that is human. The blood of these youth who departed together will continue to haunt the killers, and their images will remain an eternal witness to the brutality of the occupation and its terrorist tools.

When a Child Becomes a Homeland Because the most precious thing we possess is not what is built of stone, but those born to carry the future. In the early days of the war, amid the crowded corridors of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, a small child arrived after being rescued from the rubble of a residential block in Al-Shati Refugee Camp that had been struck by Israeli airstrikes. I carried him in my arms and saw in his fragile body the story of an entire people, and in his struggling breaths a hope fighting to survive amidst destruction and death. I handed him over to the intensive care and neonatal teams. From the very first moment, I felt that saving this child meant far more than saving a single life—it meant preserving a part of our future. In times when homes collapse and cities are destroyed, children remain our greatest treasure; they are the homeland we carry in our hearts and in our hands. Yet his journey did not end when he was pulled from the rubble. He later became one of the newborns in the neonatal units who faced another deadly threat when hospitals were besieged and fuel supplies were blocked, depriving generators, incubators, and life-support equipment of the power needed to keep them alive. We watched infants die one after another while medical teams fought a relentless battle between life and death to save them. Many of these children were later transferred to Egypt in search of treatment and a chance to survive. Since then, I have often remembered that child whenever memories of those painful days return. I do not know whether he was among those who survived and eventually came back, or among those whose lives were stolen by this war before they were given a fair chance to live. What I do know is that his face remains etched in my memory. His story reflects the story of thousands of children born into war and siege, carrying on their tiny shoulders the burdens of an entire homeland. May those who passed away rest in peace, and may those who survived remain witnesses to one of the most devastating humanitarian tragedies of our time.

The occupation continues to escalate its attacks on Gaza and violate the ceasefire agreement, which is present in statements but absent from people’s lives on the ground … What is happening in Gaza is not just an oxygen or water crisis, but a complete collapse of the basic necessities of life … Only 12 oxygen stations remain operational out of around 34, and any additional breakdown could cut off oxygen to patients … If this oxygen supply stops, these people will die … We are talking about death coming at any moment if additional oxygen stations are not brought in … We do not want to reach the point where a doctor is forced to choose between two patients, deciding who receives oxygen and who is left without it

What is happening in Gaza is beyond reason and human comprehension… What is taking place is greater than genocide and ethnic cleansing, prompting UN experts and international institutions to adopt a new term: “Healthocide”… Here, killing is not limited to direct bombardment but includes depriving people of their right to life and treatment, targeting all components of healthcare… The Ministry of Health has recorded more than 61,000 martyrs, including 18,592 children, over 4,800 amputees, around 1,000 of them children, and 154,000 wounded, of whom 18,000 require rehabilitation… We have lost more than 9,300 women, and more than 2,600 families have been completely wiped out… The occupation has killed over 1,590 medical personnel, including more than 200 doctors from rare specialties, and destroyed cultural and archaeological landmarks… What is happening must be documented as a record of shame against the Israeli occupation… The United Nations refrains from declaring famine despite the clear indicators and the fulfillment of most criteria, except for the mortality rate threshold (2 per 10,000 per day), a condition that is illogical to apply in the case of an engineered starvation policy rather than a natural famine… Declaring famine would have legally and morally obligated the international community to intervene urgently, but major powers avoid doing so for purely political reasons that have nothing to do with humanity.

Eight Children… and the Story of an Unbreakable People | When Life Triumphs Over Siege Scenes documenting the return of premature babies to their mothers’ arms… Moments beyond value—moments that healed broken hearts after unimaginable pain. This was not just an event. It was the result of immense sacrifices made by healthcare workers and our people— through their blood, bodies, hunger, and displacement. Sacrifices beyond comprehension. These moments were written with the blood of martyrs, the suffering of the detained and tortured, and the patience of those still imprisoned— waiting for a moment like this… a moment of life. We are not speaking only of children, but of a nation’s future being reborn. Of a Palestinian child whom the occupation tried to erase, yet returned as living proof that life defeats extermination. Today, they have returned… Eight premature babies who once hovered between life and death, now telling a story of faith and resilience. In November 2023, under the siege of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, water, electricity, and oxygen were cut off. There were 33 premature babies in incubators. Under bombardment, they were moved in extremely dangerous and harsh conditions in search of safety. We wrapped their fragile bodies in foil to protect them from the cold. We deprived ourselves of clean water to give them a chance to live. Some were lost… others survived. Their images were captured and shared, shaking the conscience of the world. After ten days, they were evacuated to Egypt in a perilous journey amid tanks and soldiers. We paid a heavy price to stay by their side… and never abandoned them. Today, they return—alive— to their mothers’ embrace, declaring to the world: That the will to live is stronger than the will to kill. And that Gaza—despite all pain— continues to create dignity, and write victory, by the will of God.

The survival bag was created in response to the continuous displacement of people from one place to another, addressing the urgent need for safe sleeping spaces, especially for women and children, to protect them from the dangers and hardships they may face on the streets. This bag provides a smart solution for ongoing displacement, reducing or even eliminating the need to seek temporary shelter while moving. Benefits of the Survival Bag: Ease of Use and Portability: The bag is designed to fold quickly with its contents, making it easy to carry on the shoulder during travel. Water and Air Resistance: The bag is waterproof and airtight, providing protection for the user in cases of rain or flooding, whether used indoors or in a tent and prevents water and cold air from seeping in. Usable Anywhere: The bag can be used in various locations, such as destroyed homes, among rubble, in pits, or even in tents if available. Reducing Overcrowding in Camps: Bags help reduce the number of people crowded in camps, limiting disease transmission and thereby reducing the need for medication. Minimizing Direct Targeting: The bag reduces the risk of displaced people being directly targeted, lowering casualties and easing the burden on medical care. Easing Pressure on Resources: The bag reduces the demand for additional medical resources, relieving pressure on hospitals, medical teams, and general aid. Optimizing Space Usage: The ability to fold and hang the bag on walls or poles frees up floor space, allowing greater movement within confined quarters and maximizing usable space. Convenient Transport of Essentials: The bag can carry essential items during displacement, eliminating the need for cumbersome plastic bags, especially beneficial for families with children. Providing Emotional Security for Children: The bag offers social and emotional security for children, especially when sleeping next to their mother, promoting better sleep and comfort. Energy Conservation: The bag provides necessary warmth, helping displaced individuals conserve the calories they receive from food instead of using them for body warmth in cold conditions. Customizable Design: The bag’s design can be adjusted based on the specific needs and conditions of each case, as well as the surrounding environment, making it suitable for different circumstances. Job Creation: Providing the necessary materials for bag production in the targeted area contributes to creating job opportunities and income for the affected people in that region.

If you look from 1958 onward, the Gulf countries have stood with Lebanon every time we needed help. We have 450,000 Lebanese living in the Gulf. Most of the billions of dollars transferred by the diaspora to Lebanon come from the Gulf. So this is an umbilical relationship between us and the Gulf, and we are grateful for it. Every time Lebanon went through a crisis, the Gulf opened their doors and allowed our people to obtain visas, go and work, and send money back to Lebanon. This is very important for us, and we appreciate everything they have done. Saudi Arabia in particular has been the longest-serving country standing by Lebanon, and it has consistently supported Lebanon. They were also among the countries that helped lead the Taif Agreement, which ended the civil war in Lebanon. Saudi Arabia remains very engaged in supporting stability in Lebanon. I believe Saudi Arabia and the United States are aligned on the future of Lebanon and the region. Our other friends—France, the UK, Egypt, Qatar, and Europe in general—have also stood by us and helped us over the years. We have many friends, but we need to align ourselves on how to move forward. The key now is for this government to disarm Hezbollah and to continue peace talks in Washington in order to sign a peace agreement. Simply focusing on a cessation of hostilities or a ceasefire means we are preparing for the next war, which would lead to renewed destruction after a few years. From the courtyard of al-Shifa Hospital, which witnessed killing, displacement, and burning… this courtyard is the martyrs’ square where dozens were buried… we at the Palestinian Ministry of Health are living through the worst conditions in hospitals and primary care centers… we are suffering an unprecedented shortage of medicines and supplies due to the continued closure of the crossings… there are 170000 wounded, and each needs on average 3 operations, meaning we require more than 400000 surgical procedures… if the crossings remain closed, these people will die before our eyes amid severe shortages and even the lack of clean water in hospitals… the crossings must be opened and the occupation must abide by what was agreed, and mediators agreed to allow in 600 trucks, including medicine and medical-supply trucks, to save hospitals and establish medical centers… the international community must compel the occupation to open the crossings and bring in medical supplies to save hundreds of thousands of patients and the injured… we are talking about a people for whom Gaza has been declared to be in famine and who need rapid measures and interventions by setting up nutrition centers for children and mothers and providing folic acid, iron, and all maternal and child care… we received 90 pure bodies in two batches, 45 and 45, and we are awaiting a third batch of about 30… initial observations show torture, shackling, the tracks of tank treads, and bodies that were autopsied, which require verification by specialized committees… we have prior experience showing that some bodies were emptied of organs and stuffed with cotton and fabric, and corneas, kidneys, and even a liver were stolen… we cannot confirm or deny organ theft until routine procedures are completed by a committee from the High Judiciary, the Public Prosecution, and the Ministry of Health.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 🎥🧵 In this thread, I will share videos documenting violations committed by the UAE-backed Rapid Support Militia (Janjaweed) in Sudan, especially in El Fasher. ✨ Why this thread matters: 📌 These clips are translated into English so they can be used for documentation and advocacy with the international public and decision makers. 📌 There are ongoing attempts to frame what happened in El Fasher as isolated acts by individuals, rather than systematic crimes by an organized, supported militia. 📌Disinformation campaigns use fake visuals to claim nothing happened in El Fasher, ignoring the conclusive satellite imagery verified by Yale University. (not the fake version that was circulated) 📌 Any additional verified videos will be translated and added to this thread. 🔹 Most of these videos are taken from Sudanese Echo — please follow the account for more documented and translated content. 🔁 Please quote this post and bookmark it to follow future updates. ⚠️ This is a continuous thread, please read, repost, and share rather than reply so it stays clear. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Recent Video Exposes UAE-Backed Rapid Support Militia Orders: Abdelrahim Dagalo Commands His Fighters to Kill Everyone, “No Prisoners Alive in El Fasher” In recent days, hundreds of videos have surfaced documenting the atrocities committed by the UAE-backed Rapid Support Militia (Janjaweed) after entering the city of El Fasher. Estimates indicate that thousands of civilians have been killed, with satellite images showing dark pools of blood visible even from space. Several videos showed a militia commander known as Abu Lulu carrying out field executions of dozens of civilians in cold blood. Following the international backlash, the militia attempted to portray Abu Lulu as a rogue element acting on his own. However, dozens of other videos have shown hundreds of militia members committing the same crimes and even worse, proving that these were not isolated acts but part of a systematic campaign of extermination. A recent video has also surfaced showing Abdelrahim Hamdan Dagalo, the deputy commander of the Rapid Support Militia and brother of its leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), addressing his fighters before the assault on El Fasher. In the video, Dagalo clearly instructs his troops not to take any prisoners alive, effectively ordering them to kill everyone in their path. In another separate clip, fighters from the same militia can be heard echoing his words: "72 hours to El Fasher, no prisoners alive." These videos strip away any pretense or denial. The crimes in El Fasher were not random excesses or individual mistakes but direct orders from the top leadership. The Rapid Support Militia (Janjaweed) continues to operate with the same genocidal mindset that defined its atrocities in Darfur in the early 2000s. The only difference this time is that it returned with advanced weapons, equipment, and funding provided by the United Arab Emirates, making its crimes even more horrifying and widespread, engulfing nearly all parts of Sudan with death and terror.

Shocking information obtained by Beirut Politics In an unprecedented diplomatic move, the ambassadors of the 27 European Union member states, along with the ambassadors of Canada, the United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, and Australia, held a series of meetings with senior Lebanese officials, including Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, between July 7 and July 13. According to the information, this round of meetings is only the beginning, with seven additional visits to political and parliamentary leaders expected in the coming days and weeks. According to informed sources, the Western message was clear and firm: The need to swiftly reach an agreement with the International Monetary Fund. No circumvention of the required amendments to the Banking Reform Law. No weakening of the Financial Stability and Deposit Recovery Law by stripping it of its reform content. The sources confirmed that this broad diplomatic effort stressed that Lebanese legislation must fully comply with whatever is agreed upon with the International Monetary Fund, without amendments that would undermine the purpose of the reforms. This diplomatic initiative comes after Banque du Liban withdrew from the negotiation process with the IMF, while Parliament has begun discussing amendments to the Banking Reform Law. According to exclusive information obtained by Beirut Politics, the meetings carried two key messages: The first message: Do not tamper with reform legislation or attempt to circumvent it, because doing so would reproduce the very crisis Lebanon has been suffering from for the past seven years. The second message: There will be no meaningful international financing for Lebanon, no restoration of confidence, and no return of investments without a formal agreement with the International Monetary Fund. The information further states that several ambassadors believe some of the parties opposing an agreement with the IMF are not motivated by concern for depositors’ money, whose value continues to erode year after year, but rather by considerations related to preserving influence and authority, and protecting the interests of powerful financial and banking groups. According to these sources, the forces obstructing an agreement have failed to present any viable economic or financial alternative. The conclusion conveyed by several ambassadors and international financial institutions is that continued obstruction of an agreement with the IMF could leave Lebanon burdened by the consequences of its economic crisis for at least another twenty years. These positions remain attributed to diplomatic sources and international financial institutions, but they reflect the extent of international concern over the course of Lebanon’s reform process. Those who have warned have fulfilled their duty. 🎥From the assassination of Charlie Kirk to Jeffrey Epstein's files, the genocide of Palestinians, and the bombing of Iran; all of it is for the formation of Greater Israel and maintaining complete Israeli domination over America: Fighting individuals is useless; the struggle must be against this entire Israeli system👇👇 👈 Stew Peters (Stew Peters) is a famous American host, documentary filmmaker, and whistleblower. He is one of the first American right-wingers who acts with extreme opposition to the occupation of America by the Israeli lobby and global elites. Stew Peters is a Christian nationalist, hardcore anti-Zionist, and almost like Nick Fuentes. ✅ 1. Central Claim Stew Peters believes that America is completely occupied by a network of Zionists, the Israeli lobby, the military-industrial complex, and financial elites. The assassination of Charlie Kirk, the war with Iran, Epstein's files, and all foreign and domestic policies are part of a single program to realize Greater Israel and maintain control over America. He says Charlie Kirk was assassinated because of his change in position and opposition to this occupation, and his death was carried out with an explosive microphone, not a shooting. This occupation has encompassed all institutions — government, media, church, university, bank, Hollywood — and the only way to salvation is the complete awakening of the people and cutting support for this system. ✅ 2. Main Arguments 2.1 The assassination of Charlie Kirk was a planned operation, not a random shooting. A few days before his death, Charlie Kirk rejected one hundred and fifty million dollars and rumors of one billion dollars in funding to stay on the pro-Israel line. Netanyahu personally spoke to him in a meeting at Bill Aman's mansion. After his death, the same money was accepted by Turning Point USA. His wife Erica and executive managers like Tyler Boyer were probably involved in the planning. 2.2 All of America's wars and policies are in the service of Greater Israel. The war with Iran is the last piece for realizing Greater Israel. Netanyahu calls it a spiritual crusade and has announced that nothing will stop him. The map of Greater Israel that Israeli army soldiers sew on their sleeves includes vast parts of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, parts of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and even farther areas. This map goes beyond the current borders of Israel and the ultimate goal is to create an Israeli empire from the Nile to the Euphrates and even beyond. Israel is a country that was purchased. The Rothschilds bought it from London on the fourteenth of May nineteen hundred and forty-eight and simply drew a line on the map. The people of Palestine, who are now known as Palestinians, were kind enough to allow these immigrants to live next to them, but in return, at the end of a gun barrel, they took their homes, stole their property deeds, exiled them to the open-air prison camps of Gaza and the West Bank, subjected them to siege, starvation, thirst, constant bombing, kidnapping of children, and sexual assault on women. These crimes have continued for decades. Benjamin Netanyahu has no Hebrew DNA evidence, DNA tests are banned in Israel, and he is originally a Polish man named Milkowski. Many of those who call themselves Israelis are Eastern Europeans and use the name Israel to deceive two and a half billion Christians in the world with the distorted Scofield Bible version. 2.3 Attacking Iran and its military difficulties Iran is the last stronghold and the last domino for completing the Greater Israel project. Regime change in Iran is not possible only with aerial bombing and requires hundreds of thousands of American soldiers — half a million people or more. Crossing the Strait of Hormuz is almost impossible because Iran has announced that any ship moving in favor of Israel or America will be blown up. Iran's deserts are full of rocks, salt, and ice, and landing forces there will be catastrophic. Iranians have already targeted eighteen American bases from Erbil to Oman, disabled radars, refueling planes, and warning systems. Qatar has not allowed the use of its main base, and the Fifth Fleet of America in Bahrain is practically paralyzed. Iran still preserves seventy to seventy-five percent of its missiles and launchers. Iranian schoolgirls — daughters of military commanders — were killed in a two-stage attack with precise American missiles, which is a clear war crime. Targeting the families of military personnel is illegal. This is the same method used in Ukraine by the Azov Battalion against the families of Russian soldiers. 2.4 Media programming against Iran American media such as Fox News and others portray Iran as a backward third-world country with goat herders and terrorists, while Iran is an ancient Aryan-Persian civilization with a capital larger than New York and technological progress equal to or greater. This programming is to prepare American public opinion for war. ✅ 3. Concrete Evidence and Examples 3.1 Map and statements of Greater Israel The map on the sleeves of Israeli army soldiers, Netanyahu's statements about the spiritual crusade, the 1996 Clean Break document for Netanyahu, Pete Hegseth's statements as US Secretary of Defense about sacrificing his children to build the Third Temple. 3.2 Evidence of the war with Iran Iran's attack on American bases and paralyzing the fleet, threat of blowing up ships in the Strait of Hormuz, reduction in the value of petrodollar and its replacement with the Chinese yuan by Iran, killing of schoolgirls as a strategic target. 3.3 Evidence of occupation and assassination of Charlie Kirk Rejecting one hundred and fifty million dollars and Netanyahu's call, acceptance of the same money after death by Turning Point USA, Tyler Boyer's texts showing that Charlie wanted to remove him but he returned after the death, the microphone whose angle was changed and gas and battery came out of the collar, ordering small explosive material from the Tennessee factory by the Department of Defense exactly before the assassination, private jet flight from Utah to Tennessee and the factory explosion immediately after the assassination (all employees were killed), lack of ambulance, transfer by car, and quickly destroying the crime scene with paving stones. 3.4 Epstein and media evidence Bill Gates, the Murdochs, and Larry Fink are in the files, Howard Lutnick went to the island with Epstein, BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street are the main shareholders of Rumble and have suppressed Stew Peters' visits. ✅ 4. Results and Final Message 4.1 America is on the edge of a catastrophic war with Iran that only benefits Greater Israel and wastes the blood and wealth of Americans. This war will lead to the death of hundreds of thousands of young American soldiers, further strengthening of Iran, Russia, and China, and the destruction of America's military credibility. 4.2 The young and awakened generation is the only hope because the older generation is still under media programming. 4.3 Charlie Kirk, Candace Owens, and others who started opposing this project were targeted. 4.4 The only solution: complete cutting of support for this occupying system, continuous exposure, watching the film Occupied, and returning to real American and Christian values without Zionist distortion. 4.5 Stew Peters emphasizes that this struggle is not about individuals but about the system itself, the Greater Israel program, and the occupation of America. This complete and structured analysis, with a very detailed expansion of the sections related to Iran and Israel (historical, military, ideological details, and crimes), has been prepared.

My out of office message: The past two years have been marked by an accumulation of losses. Loved ones. Colleagues. Friends. People deliberately targeted and killed by the Israeli army. I learned that grief does not arrive as a sequence of discrete events; it accrues. It settles into my body until I start to wonder not only what has been lost, but what remains. There are moments when I suspect I have lost some part of my own humanity simply by witnessing so much death. I have watched people die in front of me in ways that resist description. I have lived inside a genocide as it unfolded, and I have watched another continue in Gaza, mediated through the relentless images on a tiny screen in my pocket that refuses to yield. The 24 hour image has dissolved the boundary between proximity and spectatorship. We can leave the scene, but the scene does not leave us. Some images insist on permanence. On more than one occasion, I have watched paramedics carry bags containing the dismembered remains of children. There are sights that do not become memories because they never cease to be present. They have reorganized my inner life. How much grief can a human being contain before it alters the architecture of the self? I have been chased by a Merkava tank. A grenade has been thrown at me. Israeli quadcopters have circled overhead as instruments of intimidation. Sound bombs have become part of the atmosphere. Israeli snipers have opened fire on me eight times, most recently last Monday, while a group of us filmed the demolition of homes in Haddatha. Survival, repeated often enough stops feeling like triumph and just, almost mundanely, becomes another condition of witnessing. This week brought another loss, one I had neither anticipated nor prepared myself to absorb. Its force has surprised me. Maybe grief does not become easier through repetition. Maybe each loss discovers a new vulnerability. For the next few days, I will step away from the field. Not because the work has become less necessary, but because mourning, too, demands its own uncompromising attention. My heart is in pieces.

The speech that I could not deliver because German police burst into our Berlin venue to disband our Palestine Congress (1930s style). Judge for yourselves the kind of society Germany is becoming when its police bans the following words: Friends, Congratulations, and heartfelt thanks, for being here, despite the threats, despite the ironclad police outside this venue, despite the panoply of the German press, despite the German state, despite the German political system that demonises you for being here. “Why a Palestinian Congress, Mr Varoufakis?”, a German journalist asked me recently? Because, as Hanan Asrawi once said: “We cannot rely on the silenced to tell us about their suffering.” Today, Asrawi’s reason has grown depressingly stronger: Because we cannot rely on the silenced who are also massacred and starved to tell us about the massacres and the starvation. But there is another reason too: Because a proud, a decent people, the people of Germany, are led down a perilous road to a heartless society by being made to associate themselves with another genocide carried out in their name, with their complicity. I am neither Jewish nor Palestinian. But I am incredibly proud to be here amongst Jews and Palestinians – to blend my voice for Peace and Universal Human Rights with Jewish Voices for Peace and Universal Human Rights – with Palestinian Voices for Peace and Universal Human Rights. Being together, here, today, is proof that Coexistence is Not Only Possible – but that it is here! Already. “Why not a Jewish Congress, Mr Varoufakis?”, the same German journalist asked me, imagining that he was being smart. I welcomed his question. For if a single Jew is threatened, anywhere, just because she or he is Jewish, I shall wear the star of David on my lapel and offer my solidarity - whatever the cost, whatever it takes. So, let’s be clear: If Jews were under attack, anywhere in the world, I would be the first to canvass for a Jewish Congress in which to register our solidarity. Similarly, when Palestinians are massacred because they are Palestinians – under a dogma that to be dead they must have been Hamas – I shall wear my keffiyeh and offer my solidarity whatever the cost, whatever it takes. Universal Human Rights are either universal or they mean nothing. With this in mind, I answered the German journalist’s question with a few of my own: · Are 2 million Israeli Jews, who were thrown out of their homes and into an open air prison 80 years ago, still being kept in that open air prison, without access to the outside world, with minimal food and water, no chance of a normal life, of travelling anywhere, and bombed periodically for 80 years? No. · Are Israeli Jews being starved intentionally by an army of occupation, their children writhing on the floor, screaming from hunger? No. · Are there thousands of Jewish injured children no surviving parents crawling through the rubble of what used to be their homes? No. · Are Israeli Jews being bombed by the world’s most sophisticated planes and bombs today? No. · Are Israeli Jews experiencing complete ecocide of what little land they can still call their own, not one tree left under which to seek shade or whose fruit to taste? No. · Are Israeli Jewish children killed by snipers today at the orders of a member-state of the UN? No. · Are Israeli Jews driven out of their homes by armed gangs today? No. · Is Israel fighting for its existence today? No. If the answer to any of these questions was yes, I would be participating in a Jewish Solidarity Congress today. Friends, Today, we would have loved to have a decent, democratic, mutually-respectful debate on how to bring Peace and Universal Human Rights for everyone, Jews and Palestinians, Bedouins and Christians, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea with people who think differently to us. Sadly, the whole of the German political system has decided not to allow this. In a joint statement including not just the CDU-CSU or the FDP but also the SPD, the Greens and, remarkably, two leaders of Die Linke, joined forces to ensure that such a civilised debate, in which we may disagree agreeably, never takes place in Germany. I say to them: You want to silence us. To ban us. To demonise us. To accuse us. You, therefore, leave us with no choice but to meet your accusations with our accusations. You chose this. Not us. · You accuse us of anti-Semitic hatred o We accuse you of being the antisemite’s best friend by equating the right of Israel to commit war crimes with the right of Israeli Jews to defend themselves. · You accuse us of supporting terrorism o We accuse you of equating legitimate resistance to an Apartheid State with atrocities against civilians which I have always and will always condemn, whomever commits them – Palestinians, Jewish Settlers, my own family, whomever. o We accuse you of not recognising the duty of the people of Gaza to tear down the Wall of the open prison they have been encased in for 80 years – and of equating this act of tearing down the Wall of Shame – which is no more defensible than the Berlin Wall was – with acts of terror. · You accuse us of trivialising Hamas’ October 7th terror o We accuse you of trivialising the 80 years of Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and the erection of an ironclad Apartheid system across Israel-Palestine. o We accuse you of trivialising Netanyahu’s long-term support of Hamas as a means of destroying the 2-State Solution that you claim to favour. o We accuse you of trivialising the unprecedented terror unleashed by the Israeli army on the people of Gaza, W. Bank and E. Jerusalem. · You accuse the organisers of today’s Congress that we are, and I quote, “not interested in talking about possibilities for peaceful coexistence in the Middle East against the background of the war in Gaza”. Are you serious? Have you lost your mind? o We accuse you of supporting a German state that is, after the United States, the largest supplier of the weapons that the Netanyahu government uses to massacre Palestinians as part of a Grand Plan to make a 2-State solution, and peaceful coexistence between Jews and Palestinians, impossible. o We accuse you of never answering the pertinent question that every German must answer: How much Palestinian blood must flow before your, justified, guilt over the Holocaust is washed away? So, let’ s be clear: We are here, in Berlin, with our Palestinian Congress because, unlike the German political system and the German media, we condemn genocide and war crimes regardless of who is perpetrating them. Because we oppose Apartheid in the land of Israel-Palestine no matter who has the upper hand – just as we opposed Apartheid in the American South or in South Africa. Because we stand for universal human rights, freedom and equality among Jews, Palestinians, Bedouins and Christians in the Ancient Land of Palestine. And so that we are even clearer on the questions, legitimate and malignant, that we must always be ready to answer: Do I condemn Hamas’ atrocities? I condemn every single atrocity, whomever is the perpetrator or the victim. What I do notcondemn is armed resistance to an Apartheid system designed as part of a slow-burning, but inexorable, ethnic cleansing program. Put differently, I condemn every attack on civilians while, at the same time, I celebrate anyone who risks their life to TEAR DOWN THE WALL. Is Israel not engaged in a war for its very existence? No, it is not. Israel is a nuclear-armed state with perhaps the most technologically advanced army in the world and the panoply of the US military machine having its back. There is no symmetry with Hamas, a group which can cause serious damage to Israelis but which has no capacity whatsoever to defeat Israel’s military, or even to prevent Israel from continuing to implement the slow genocide of Palestinians under the system of Apartheid that has been erected with long-standing US and EU support. Are Israelis not justified to fear that Hamas wants to exterminate them? Of course they are! Jews have suffered a Holocaust that was preceded with pogroms and a deep-seated antisemitism permeating Europe and the Americas for centuries. It is only natural that Israelis live in fear of a new pogrom if the Israeli army folds. However, by imposing Apartheid on their neighbours, by treating them like sub-humans, the Israeli state is stoking the fires of antisemitism, is strengthening Palestinians and Israelis who just want to annihilate each other and, in the end, contributes to the awful insecurity consuming Jews in Israel and the Diaspora. Apartheid against the Palestinians is the Israelis’ worst self-defence. What about antisemitism? It is always a clear and present danger. And it must be eradicated, especially amongst the ranks of the Global Left and the Palestinians fighting for Palestinian civil liberties –around the world. Why don’t Palestinians pursue their objectives by peaceful means? They did. The PLO recognised Israel and renounced armed struggle. And what did they get for it? Absolute humiliation and systematic ethnic cleansing. That is what nurtured Hamas and elevated it the eyes of many Palestinians as the only alternative to a slow genocide under Israel’s Apartheid. What should be done now? What might bring Peace to Israel-Palestine? · An immediate ceasefire. · The release of all hostages: Hamas’ and the thousands held by Israel. · A Peace Process, under the UN, supported by a commitment by the International Community to end Apartheid and to safeguard Equal Civil Liberties for All. · As for what must replace Apartheid, it is up to Israelis and Palestinians to decide between the 2-state solution and the solution of a Single Federal Secular State. Friends, We are here because vengeance is a lazy form of grief. We are here to promote not vengeance but Peace and Coexistence across Israel-Palestine. We are here to tell German democrats, including our former comrades of Die Linke, that they have covered themselves in shame long enough – that two wrongs do not one right make – that allowing Israel to get away with war crimes is not going to ameliorate the legacy of Germany’s crimes against the Jewish People. Beyond today’s Congress, we have a duty, in Germany, to change the conversation. We have a duty to persuade the vast majority of decent Germans out there that universal human rights is what matters. That Never Again means Never Again. For anyone, Jew, Palestinian, Ukrainian, Russian, Yemeni, Sudanese, Rwandan – for everyone, everywhere. In this context, I am pleased to announce that DiEM25’s German political party MERA25 will be on the ballot paper in the European Parliament election this coming June – seeking the vote of German humanists who crave a Member of European Parliament representing Germany and calling out the EU’s complicity in genocide – a complicity that is Europe’s greatest gift to the antisemites in Europe and beyond. I salute you all and suggest we never forget that none of us are free if one of us is in chains.
