चैत्रे मासि जगत् ब्रह्मा ससर्ज प्रथमेऽहनि। शुक्ल पक्षे समग्रेतु तदा सूर्योदये सति॥ I have always believed that the Sanatana tradition and the values we are raised with never really leave us. They stay within us, no matter where we are or what we are doing. Even today, being away for the shooting of my upcoming movie #DavidReddy, caught up in responsibilities, I could still feel that connection alive. Ugadi, for me, is not just the beginning of a new year. It is about the quiet renewal within, the change of seasons, the reawakening of Dharma, and the origin of Kaalapurusha. It is on this very Chaitra Shukla Pratipada that Lord Brahma is believed to have initiated creation and set the cycles of Yugas into motion. That is what we celebrate as Ugadi. Even from a distance, watching my family at the temple through a video call, that devotion still reaching me from miles away… it transcends everything. Mounika, Dhairav, and little Devasena performed archana in Nanna’s name today, and knowing that his grandchildren carried his blessings to the temple today fills my heart in ways words cannot describe ❤️ Being able to balance work while still staying rooted in where I come from is something that truly makes me happy today. March 19th was always a festival for me. Ever since I was a child, this was my holiday, my celebration, spent right beside my father on his birthday. For the first time, that holiday has turned into a workday, And work is something I cherish the most after my family… But maybe there is something poetic about it… because today also happens to be Ugadi, a day of new beginnings. All my work, all my praise, everything I am… is for you, Nanna❤️ Happy Birthday 🙏❤️ Wishing everyone Sri Parabhava Nama Ugadi Shubhakankshalu 🙏 #Ugadi #NewYear

Psalm 19 KJV: The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, And night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, Where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, And his circuit unto the ends of it: And there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: And in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me: Then shall I be upright, And I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Let the words of my mouth, And the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

In a single noble verse, the eloquence and miraculous power of Allah the Exalted is conveyed to us through a great #debate won by logic and rational proof. It took place between the father of prophets, Abraham (peace be upon him), and #Nimrod, the king of Babylon. Instead of this king’s faith in Allah increasing when Allah granted him kingship, the blessing turned into a curse for Nimrod, leading him to become arrogant enough to argue with Abraham about Allah the Exalted. The king asks Abraham, “Who is your Lord?” To which Abraham replies, “My Lord is the One who gives life and death.” The king responds, “I give life and death.” (Meaning: “I judge whoever I want to die and I pardon whoever deserves to die.”) Since the king’s response is a #sophism with no substance, Abraham changes the logic of the argument from agreement to disagreement. He tells the king: Allah, my Lord, brings the sun from the east—so bring it from the west if you are, as you claim to be, a god or that you are, as you claim to be, Allah’s equal. It seems that King Nimrod, despite his arrogance, was not stupid. He realized the strength of Abraham’s argument and the coherence of his logic, and he was stunned both by what he heard and his inability to respond. This is because polytheism and disbelief are both great injustices to those who embrace them since Allah does not guide unjust people. And it is only just that “nimrod” is used to describe a fool or a stupid person. #BlessedFriday - #HasanIsmaik #Iraq - #Baghdad

Starting this post on a lighter note. This nurse is, perhaps, the most annoying nurse I have had on this journey of trying to get a new leg. She is annoying in a very good way. She never stopped asking me questions. Even the mundane ones. The surgeon who led the team that gave me a new leg, is 31 years old. My surgery cost me $25,207.33. Two plates inserted into my leg and the days I lived in the hospital. I am not sure Professor Wole Soyinka will be happy about this post, but I had to do it by the way. When my insurance couldn’t cover my surgery, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili didn’t delay in raising the money to fund it and she said: “We have to find a permanent solution to your problems.” The hospital gave me time to find the money. Professor Wole Soyinka, who will be angry at my post, said: “I will go to Lagos tomorrow and see what I have in my account.” He went to Lagos and wired millions of Naira directly to the hospital and asked me to thank them for not amputating my leg. 😂 I have never met Olugbenga Agboola, the Co-founder of Flutterwave, but he is acquainted with people I know. He sent money, so a man he doesn’t know gets full healing. His Co-founder, Aboyeji Iyinoluwa extended his generosity, even to paying my rents, buying wheelchair, Walker and flight tickets. “Gratitude must be made public.” Apart from these people, here is a list of people who contributed to make sure that that hefty amount was paid off, without me setting up a GoFundMe. They acted like I was owing them money: 1. Professor Kingsley Moghalu 2. Dr Arunma Oteh 3. Chief Dele Momodu 4. JJ Omojuwa 5. Toni Kan My apologies, if I am exposing them. They don’t owe me anything at all, but these people have made life so easy for me. And I am deeply grateful. I can’t brag enough about my support system.
