With The Angry Birds Movie (2016) trending recently I’m surprised nobody hasn’t mentioned this scene yet and how quite emotional and beautifully executed it is that it completely works and makes you feel for the characters, this entire movie solos the entirety of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2026) and if anything I felt more emotional with this scene more than Peach reuniting with Rosalina which really says a lot about that movie and how painfully mediocre and stressful Galaxy Movie was and the best part this movie is actually takes the time to breathe and doesn’t overuse references or action scenes every few minutes to make it enjoyable and it also doesn’t have deep storytelling either and yet it still manages to be enjoyable.

🗣️Leo #Messi’s speech at the end of his #GOATTour : "I just want to thank everyone for the love and affection during these days in India. In fact, it was a truly beautiful experience for us to be able to share it. And although it was short and intense, it was wonderful to receive all this love that I knew existed, but receiving it directly was amazing. It was a crazy experience, everything they did for us these days. So, we carry all this love with us, and we will definitely return, hopefully one day to play a match or on another occasion, but we will definitely return to visit India. Thank you very much."

Seth Rogen reveals he smoked a bong for 45 minutes then saw The Matrix the day Freaks and Geeks wrapped "The day the show wrapped, me and Jason Segel drove to a movie theater in the valley, smoked weed out of a glass bong in his car for like 45 minutes, and then went and saw The Matrix, and it was a mind-blowing experience" "And then a few weeks later, I went to Vancouver and did a ton of shrooms and saw The Matrix again, and it was an even more mind-blowing experience" "But the scene where your mouth ran away, I was with my friend, and he got up and ran out of the theater. John McTiernan on how he learnt moviemaking by watching 'Day for Night' (1972): "I remember when I decided that that's what I was going to do. I went about it like it was reverse engineering. I knew that I had to go and learn what a movie was, not just my experience of going and watching a movie. So I went and sat in Truffaut's Day for Night (1972), watched it for three days straight, eight hours at a time and memorized it shot-for-shot. I got past the story, all the original and secondary experience, so I could study what it was that I was really watching. Film is really sort of a chain that's really linear. Yet when it's all strung together, it just sort of feels like an experience. It takes quite a while to be able to deconstruct that experience to figure out what you really saw." (John McTiernan's interview with Alex Simon, The Hollywood Interview, 1999)

There is something about the very first TMNT movie from 1990 that still gets me excited to this day. The way the turtles looked, the film colour grading and of course the amazing music by composer John Du Prez. The start of the movie is still one of my favourite scenes of all time and a lot of that is because of the soundtrack. I can still remember my mom taking me to see it, she worked at a large retail clothing company in Cape Town and her work got her early sneak preview tickets. I didn’t believe her when she told me it was a proper ‘real life’ ninja turtles film. It was only once I started watching it that I realised it was an actual movie and I will never forget the excitement when I first saw Raphael’s eyes looking out from the sewer. What a magical memory it was, I would love to know your first turtles movie experience 🐢 Anyway, I recreated the intro music with some modern synthwave flavour ✨ #tmnt #ninjaturtles #nostalgia

It makes me sad that this is the last time she'd see her childhood friends because she'd go far, far away from them and play a major role in a completely different world. It was sweet of her to reveal her secret identity to them. Well, the first two Nanoha movies were fun to watch, but I think I still prefer the TV series versions. The quality of animation and music is surely an improvement in both movies, but the overall narrative... I don't think I connected with it as much as I did with the TV series. I liked how raw everything felt there. But with time, things change, and they changed quite a few things in both movies. I liked some changes, while others didn't quite click with me. Overall, both movies were fun to watch this holiday. It was a good experience. Let's see what's next... two more Nanoha movies??? I guess next up are Reflection and Detonation. I'll watch them later.

Quentin Tarantino recounts seeing his first blaxploitation film with an all-Black audience at nine years old. The movie was Jim Brown’s “Black Gunn,” and the experience changed his life forever… “During this time, my mother was dating a football player named Reggie. So in an effort to score points with her, Reggie asked to hang out with me. Being a football player, he asked her, "Does he like football?" She told him “No, he likes movies.” Well, as luck would have it, so did Reggie. And apparently, he saw every blaxploitation flick that came out. So late one Saturday afternoon, Reggie, who I had never met before, dropped by the apartment, picked me up and took me to the movies. He took me to a part of town I had never been before. I had been to the big movie theater districts in Hollywood and Westwood, but this place was different. This theater row had huge cinemas on both sides of the street, which went down for about eight blocks. I realized when I got older, Reggie took me to the theater district in downtown Los Angeles, located on Broadway Boulevard. All of them were blaxploitation films. Films I had never seen, the new movie on Broadway, having opened just last Wednesday, was Blaxploitation superstar Jim Brown's new motion picture, "Black Gunn." I had seen the TV spots a lot that week, and it looked really exciting. I even remember the radio spot proclaiming, "Jim Brown was gonna get the mother who killed his brother." Well, "Black Gunn" was definitely the movie Reggie wanted to see. One being the connoisseur that he apparently was, it was the only one of the movies playing he hadn't seen. Also, it was pretty fucking obvious he dugged Jim Brown. This thing, the Saturday night showing of the brand new Jim Brown movie, the huge auditorium, I mean, it was probably 1400 seats, wasn't exactly packed, but it was definitely busy and buzzing with anticipation. My little face was the only white one in the audience. This was to be my first movie in a, except for me, all black movie theater in a black neighborhood. This was 1972. Then, on a downtown Saturday night, Jim Brown's new movie, "Black Gun," began flickering through the film projector shutter gate for an extremely excited audience of about 850 black folks, 800 of them male. And frankly, I've never been the same. To one degree or another, I've spent my entire life since both attending movies and making them, trying to recreate the experience of watching a brand new Jim Brown film on a Saturday night in a black cinema in 1972. There was no comparison. When Jim Brown sat behind his desk and Bruce Glover, Crispin’s father, and his other white gangster henchmen threatened him, and Gunn hits a button under the desk and a sawed off shotgun dropped in his lap (see below), the massive theater full of black males cheered in a way the nine-year-old me had never experienced in a movie theater before. At the time, living with a single mother, it was probably the most masculine experience I'd ever been part of. And when the movie ended with a freeze frame of Jim Brown as Gunn, the guy behind Reggie made me proclaimed out loud, "Now that's a movie about a bad motherfucker!" Sadly, after that night, I never saw Reggie again, and to this day I have no idea what happened to him." From Quentin Tarantino’s book Cinema Speculation

Matt Damon tells Amy Poehler how he left Harvard with just one semester left to go make a movie, revealing that he wrote the beginning of Good Will Hunting instead of doing his actual class assignment, and his professor was so IMPRESSED that he gave him an A and told him to keep writing 😳🎬🔥 “We were supposed to write a one-act play, and I wrote the first act of a three-act movie. I went to the guy and said, ‘I think I failed your class, but this is the first act of a movie.’” “He read it, gave me a straight A and just said, ‘Don’t stop. Keep going.’ That was when I took it out and showed it to Ben.”

This weekend was a dream. In a few weeks I'll be wondering if it even happened... I wanted to find a home at a con in the South East, and reached out with a small idea that snowballed so fast. I wanted a space that all different kinds of Vtubers were welcome. That was diverse and beautiful. With all sizes, genders, races. To show how beautiful the space could be. And I really hope we achieved that this weekend. Thank you MomoCon for giving us a space to shine, and being so welcoming. Thank you 「」 and Royal 🔜 Stardust Ignition 8/21 for coming out last minute to perform with us. Every VSinger dreams of being worth wota. You have no idea how much this meant to all of us. Thank you to my mods and community members who gave their entire weekend up and never blinked an eye to run the M&Gs. They spent HOURS making sure everyone had an amazing experience. And they did fantastic. I'm so so proud of all of you. Thank you to all the talents that trusted us, who were so kind to my staff, put together panels and concerts last minute, showed up and made con go-ers excited and happy. And thank you to QuacKwak 💚🦆 🔜 DragonCon for doing it all with me. We had an impossible task, and we FUCKING DID IT! Otsu, Momocon. See you next year? 🤞

Octavia Spencer narrated her experience while working with Will Smith to Michael Rainey Jr. and Gianni Paolo and how Will Smith changed her life after doing a movie with him🥹❤️ “I watched how he interacted with the casts, i watched the subtle changes that he made, it’s like watching theater, watching actors in the moment make those beautiful select, i always try to be on set just to take it all in, but that’s when i knew that my life as an actor it changed because i realized i had access to watch some of the greatest actors of our time work”❤️

I can’t wait for you guys to see this movie!!!! This is my favorite picture from what was one of the most magical nights I think I’ve ever had with a film. Besides playing Selena, playing the role of Judy Robles and bringing her and her struggles and triumphs with her amazing son, Anthony Robles to life, was one of the great honors of my life. These are the type of movies that the world needs right now more than ever. Inspiring, uplifting, exciting and emotional. At times difficult to watch but so real and so moving. It’s a perfect family movie. It will have you cheering while you hold back the tears. It won’t be out until December 6 in theaters but it’ll be perfect for everyone to see with your families around Christmas. It is our gift to you to introduce the story of this inspiring UNSTOPPABLE family. Thank you to Billy Goldberg, Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Don Cheadle, and especially Judy Robles and Anthony Robles for making Unstoppable an unforgettable experience for me. 🙏🏼🤼‍♂️🤍

Remember how Blake Lively called It Ends With Us a “big beautiful summer movie”? I was the one that found the clip and at the time I was focused on her implicating Taylor Swift during that interview. But one thing that also stood out was the phrasing about what type of film it was. It was about DV not a summer rom-com. What she said was VERY bizarre and out of place. So we all just concluded it was more of her delusional and tone deaf press tour. However, I think it’s deeper than that. We made the connection that she thought this was her Barbieheimer moment with IEWU and Deadpool coming out at during the same time. How she kept cross promoting Deadpool, dressed in garish floral designer outfits, hawked her liquor and hair care, etc. Speculation is she wanted to be Barbie in place of Margot Robbie. Well, in a strange coincidence, Margot is starring in a movie called BIG BOLD BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY that comes out in May. It was announced early 2024 that Margot landed the lead role to this A-list film, produced by Sony. Am I tripping or……..🤔

Many years ago, my grandmother (who taught me how to be curious about the world and how to tell stories) did a Skype call with my brother in the US and it blew her mind that this was happening in real time. She still thought it was some kind of “TV recording” that he sent by post. Her sense of wonder at the incredible rate of technological progress with zero tendency to glorify the past (I mean, a woman forced out of school at 13 to marry is rarely going to look at the past with fond memories) instilled in me the optimism that the science, despite short term disappointments, corporate greed and corruption, will, on the long run, make our lives better. A few weeks ago, this beautiful essay and I wanted to make a video inspired by that and my grabdmkther. Your own recent ancestors will find your ordinary day to day life to be PURE MAGIC

"It's a superhero movie that is for adults and has adult ideas in it. You don't have to think about it any harder than that. It goes way deeper. If you want to, you can tear it apart like a giant onion and keep peeling it until you're at its core. "But I think that it's cool to experience it just like when I read the comic book for the first time and I didn't know. No one was telling me what it's about or the why of it. You come to it fresh. And sometimes I wish I had that experience because I would love to see the movie or read the book for the first time again because that feeling was for me awesome. "Especially when you go into something with this anticipation that it's just a Hollywood superhero movie which is what a lot of people will think because they don't know. They see some guys fighting and then when you see the film you actually have this experience of it being taken apart. "Those archetypes, those mythological shapes, whether they be Batman or Superman or any of superheroes and how they're just turned around. Whether it's through sexual fetish or fighting, actually killing guys they fight. "Stuff like that or whether it's the end of the movie and there's this moral dilemma that is the end of the movie is also challenging on all those levels."

Every episode I direct of Criminal Minds: Evolution means something different to me, but this week's is especially close to my heart. One reason: I had the deep honor of officiating the real-life wedding of Janelle Gaeta Marmo who you'll see in a scene with myself and Voit. Another: it features Linda Lavin, a beautiful soul and dear new-old friend. I didn't know it at the time, but I was directing her final performance, one that is as profound as it is unforgettable. And the last reason this episode is so meaningful... well, you'll have to watch to understand. Fittingly, the episode is called 'Time to Say Goodbye. And though we never truly say goodbye to someone like Linda, whose light stays with us, this one is for her and all those we've loved and lost, yet stay with us in ways words can never fully capture. Enjoy.

These friends decided to go on a white water rafting excursion. They hired a company to teach them how to do it and take them out. During the trip while on the rapids, one of the women noticed what she thought was some dead leaves on the inside by her feet, until it moved and she discovered it was a fishing spider. The women freak out while the instructor laughs but he does help them get rid of it, 3 times actually, it turned out there was a total of three massive spiders in the raft. Most of us freak out when we see a little raisin sized one in the car, but out in the water with a grapefruit sized one is much different, what would you have done?

Honestly, this video took me through every possible emotion 😂 I’ve literally never edited a video before, so figuring all this out was a whole experience. From being excited, to confused, to almost giving up, to somehow ending up with this 😂 And yes, we really used Coke Zero in the video. Don’t ask why, just enjoy it 😭😂 Really happy with how it turned out though. First edit, first of many ❤️ Thank you for the opportunity. Godbless you and everyone at the Gamdom.com hq and I hope you see this and pick me. Steve Will Do It CODE “steve” on GAMDOM Gamdom.com #GAMDOM50KCHALLENGE
