My condolences to the Muslim Ummah for the state of its media. After Egyptian media dominated the scene for more than half a century—during which it damaged the minds of Arab youth and instilled shallow values that run contrary to the principles of good upbringing—it is now sinking even lower at a time when Arab societies need awareness and enlightenment more than ever, rather than more superficiality. A TV channel costs millions of dollars to run staff, salaries, equipment, and everything else and after all that, this is what we get: this kind of nonsense and vulgarity, parading the bodies of prostitutes across the screen and putting shallow media personalities on air whose job seems to be little more than stirring up sexual desire and portraying society in the worst possible light.
