In that moment, football became so much more than just a game. We all applauded one person’s fight, their strength to hold on to life, and their hope. Some matches have no score. Some moments are written on your heart. 🤍🇵🇸🇹🇷

A message from Catherine, The Princess of Wales As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown. The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything. This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved. Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can. Despite all that has gone before I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life. William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time. Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling. To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright. 🎬 by Will Warr

Today, we took our daughter, Rafif, to the doctor to check on her health. After examining her, the doctor found that she has a fungal infection in her stomach, which is causing the persistent diarrhea she has been suffering from. She is also struggling with flu symptoms and a severe cold, which have left her even weaker and more exhausted. The doctor prescribed Flagyl and told us that if the diarrhea continues over the next three days, we will need to return for another examination. I feel helpless because I cannot protect my daughter, Rafif, from the harsh conditions we are living in. The water available to us is unsafe to drink, much of the food that reaches us is not fit to eat, and even the air we breathe is filled with the smell of rockets and gunpowder. All I want is to see my daughter healthy and safe, growing up like any other child in this world. Instead, every day feels like a new battle to protect her from illness and fear in an environment that threatens the most basic necessities of life: clean water, safe food, proper medicine, and clean air. What breaks my heart the most is not only Rafif’s illness, but seeing such a young child struggle with diarrhea, the flu, a cold, and constant exhaustion when her days should be filled with laughter, play, and happiness. It hurts to feel powerless while watching her grow up in circumstances no child should ever have to endure. Please keep Rafif in your prayers. A sincere prayer may be the reason for her healing and relief from pain. We ask God to bless her with health, protect her from all harm, and replace her suffering with comfort, peace, and recovery. 💔🙏

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of playing softball at the next level. Today, that dream is becoming a reality, and my heart is filled with so much gratitude. I know it didn’t happen by accident. Through every high, every low, every setback, and every answered prayer, God was preparing me for this moment. I trust His plan, His timing, and the purpose He has for my life, knowing that His plans are always greater than anything I could have imagined. I’m beyond blessed and incredibly emotional to announce that I have committed to Florida State University to continue my academic and softball career! This moment means so much more than just a commitment. It represents years of work, sacrifice, perseverance, and faith. It represents the people who believed in me when I didn’t always believe in myself. Most importantly, it reminds me that God has been working behind the scenes the entire time. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11 This school and this softball program have been on my heart for a very long time. It has always been my dream, and I truly believe God placed this opportunity in front of me because He knew it was the right choice for me. I’m so thankful for my family, coaches, teammates, friends, and everyone who has supported me, prayed for me, pushed me, and stood by me throughout this journey. I wouldn’t be here without you. To Coacha, T-Cam, T-Will, and Coach Rafter: Thank you for taking a chance on me, believing in me, and seeing the potential in me to contribute to your program. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than myself, and I can’t wait to give everything I have to this team. To Coach Jason: Thank you for believing in me, creating opportunities for me, making the calls, promoting me to coaches, and pushing me to become a better player and person. This journey wouldn’t have been possible without you. To Coach Roger : Thank you for instilling confidence in me and all the words of wisdom when I needed it the most. You have been a huge supporter from the first day we meet and I am so grateful. To my family, especially my dad: Thank you for every sacrifice, the early mornings, late nights, practices, long drives, tournaments, and tough conversations. Thank you for holding me accountable, staying consistent when things were hard, and giving up so much of your own time to help me chase this dream. You have always believed in me and helped shape the person and player I am today. I could never thank you enough. Most importantly, thank You, God, for leading me here, being with me every step of the way, and giving me a dream worth chasing. When I couldn’t see where the path was leading, You did. This is only the beginning. I’m ready to work, ready to learn, ready to grow, and ready to give everything I have to this next chapter. When God writes the story, you don’t have to worry about the ending. MONDAY MUSINGS AN ENDURING LEGACY OF GRACE, SERVICE AND PROFESSIONAL STEWARDSHIP : THE OFFICIAL UNVEILING OF THE REGIONAL HEADQUARTERS OF I. C. EJIOFOR & CO. (UGOCHINYERE CHAMBERS), ASABA, DELTA STATE When divine grace follows a man, it often appears as though he alone has been singled out for generational favour and uncommon blessings. Yet, one enduring truth must never be forgotten: a man who walks in the path of his divine mandate and heavenly anointing is never in competition with anyone. His journey is uniquely ordered by God, and his victories are measured not against men, but against the fulfilment of divine purpose. Our entrance into the Big Heart State was heralded by unprecedented accomplishments, remarkable professional milestones, outstanding victories, and an unwavering commitment to the faithful discharge of our professional responsibilities with honesty, integrity, sincerity, and the fear of God. Following the overwhelming confidence reposed in our Chambers, the remarkable successes recorded over the years, and the increasing demand for our professional legal services, it has pleased the Almighty God to enlarge our coast and expand our frontiers across the South-South, South-East, and, by extension, the South-West regions of Nigeria. It is with profound gratitude to God that we unveil this magnificent edifice, which shall henceforth serve as the Regional Office of the esteemed Chambers of I. C. EJIOFOR & CO. (UGOCHINYERE CHAMBERS), strategically situated in the heart of Asaba, Delta State. We have never been given to speaking where God has not first spoken. We understand that promotion comes neither from the east nor from the west, but from the Lord alone. Because it can only be Him—ever faithful to His promises and steadfast in the fulfilment of His Word. He has graciously chosen this moment to reward years of sacrifice in the service of humanity. The journey has not been without enormous cost. It has been marked by immeasurable sacrifices, unquantifiable losses, life-threatening encounters, and countless moments in which death came perilously close, all in the course of our professional engagements and unwavering commitment to justice and service. Yet, through every season and every challenge, God remained faithful. Indeed, it can only be God. Today, I most profoundly salute our indefatigable team of exceptionally erudite legal practitioners in chambers, and our dedicated non-legal staff, whose commitment, diligence, loyalty, and unwavering support have transformed this vision into reality. Your invaluable contributions to the continued growth and success of our Chambers shall never be forgotten. I remain eternally grateful. I equally extend my deepest appreciation to my beloved family, whose steadfast prayers, remarkable endurance, immeasurable sacrifices, and unwavering encouragement have remained an unshakable pillar throughout this journey. My heartfelt gratitude also goes to my formidable Ezigbo Umuchineke, whose unfailing love, unwavering support, and abiding faith have continued to inspire strength and resilience in every season. To our ever-growing clientele, I express profound appreciation for the confidence, trust, and belief you have consistently reposed in our professional competence. Your continued support has contributed immeasurably to this significant milestone, and for that, we remain sincerely grateful. Above all, and most importantly, we return all glory, honour, adoration, and thanksgiving to the Almighty God—the Alpha and the Omega, the Great I AM, the Author and Finisher of our faith, the Mighty Man of War, the Beginning and the End—for yet another remarkable milestone. Truly, it can only be God. To Him alone be all the glory for His endless mercies, unmerited favour, divine protection, unfailing grace, preservation of life, abundant blessings upon my family and our Chambers, and for continually prospering the works of our hands beyond human comprehension. With hearts full of gratitude, we say: Thank You, Lord. Thank you all for being part of this remarkable journey. May God Almighty richly bless you all. A message from Nicko: Hello Boys and Girls, I hope this message finds you all well! The reason I'm writing to you all today is to let you know of a very serious health problem that I have been through. In January I had a stroke, thank the Lord it was a minor one referred to as a TIA. It left me paralyzed on my right side from my shoulder on down, of course I was very worried that my career was over but with the love and support from my wife, Rebecca and family, my doctors, especially Julie my OT (Occupational Therapist), and my Maiden family I was able to bounce back to somewhere near 70% recovered. After 10 weeks of intense therapy it was almost time to start rehearsals for our tour. I feel it's important to let you know about this now instead of earlier as I was mainly concerned with doing my job and concentrating on getting back to 100% fitness. I'm not there yet but by the grace of God I'm getting better and stronger as the weeks go by. Thank you all for a most wonderful and magical tour so far, you have all been so amazing. Well that's it from me. God bless you all, stay safe and well and I look forward to seeing you all somewhere in time. 🙂🙂 Nicko Manager Rod Smallwood adds - “The rest of the band and l think that what Nicko has been able to achieve since his stroke shows incredible belief and willpower and we are all very proud of him. With this new and musically very complex set to learn ahead of him, he just got his head down and concentrated on recovery. We honestly did not know if he would be able to play a whole show until band rehearsals started in May and there was just so much support for him from the band and then genuine relief for all when we saw he was going to be able to do it!” "Nicko being Nicko he did not want to make a fuss and cause any distraction to the tour at the time but, now that he is sure he will soon get there, he thought you fans should know straight from him rather than by any rumours!" "We are all of course delighted he battled through this so well and look forward to many more tours together starting with the three Western Canada shows and Power Trip in California coming up in a couple of months time. We can’t wait! This tour is that good!” #IronMaiden #NickoMcBrain #TheFuturePastTour

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has kept us alive, sustained us, and brought us to this time. Good evening everyone. I am Rivka Bohbot, and my husband Elkana is home. I’ve been waiting for these words for two years, and I still find it hard to believe: this is it, he is here. My Elkana is well — but nothing has been simple, and nothing is as it looks from the outside. Over the past months, Elkana had no food, as shown in the videos that were released. He experienced abuse and great suffering, and before his release he was given a large amount of food so he would look a little better for the world’s sake — this was against the requests of Israel and the international organizations. Because of that, Elkana now suffers from stomach pain, he is swollen, but I am certain that my brave man will gradually return to good health thanks to medical treatment and his inner strength. Yesterday was the most emotional day of my life, more than Elkana’s and my wedding day, even more than the day our Ram was born. Yesterday I saw both my husband and Ram born anew. The embrace from both of them, the moment when, despite his weakness, Elkana couldn’t restrain himself and lifted and hugged him tightly. My child got his father back — and as a mother, I could not ask for more. Now it is our time also to heal as a family. Over the past two years, Ram has grown into a small man; he understands and knows only what it is to live without a father and wait for him. We need to rebuild our family unit and it moves me so much that finally, finally we are in the recovery stage. Many good people helped us reach this moment, the moment when Elkana begins to heal. I ask to thank everyone who supported and helped, everyone who encouraged and helped keep the subject of the hostages as the most important thing. Without the prayers and pleas, we would not have gotten Elkana back. Without the help of the people of Israel, the Hostages’ Families’ Desk, the security forces and the brave soldiers and women, this would not have happened. Of course, we wouldn’t have gotten Elkana back to life without President Trump, Ambassador [Witekoff?] and the U.S. administration, who did all they could to bring about the agreement. We ask to thank everyone — Elkana saw you from there, saw you in the streets, saw the signs, the vigils, the prayers, saw what those who were with him in captivity said; saw and was moved that for a moment we did not forget him. Thank you for saving him but also for saving me and Ram. On a personal note — I have won, and I have fulfilled my personal mission: my husband is here. Despite the difficulties with language, despite the fears and despair, the pain, the exhaustion, I fought and never gave up. Not for a moment did I agree to surrender life, to surrender love, I did not raise my hands, and this is a huge victory for me. None of us must give up hope for better days. I ask to remind that the mission is not over yet, and one must not think that one can stop the clock in Hostages Square or remove the yellow pin. There are still 21 hostages and one hostage (female) whose condition is unknown. They must return to eternal rest for their loved ones together with another hostage whose status is not yet known. We are here until the last hostage.

Good afternoon my people, It’s 1:35 p.m. Ndio kuamka sasa and the first thing is to thank God for the gift of life. Many wished to see today, but didn’t make it. We are here by His grace alone. Yesterday was meant to be my day of rest, a day to relax and let the body recover. But life had other plans. I found myself in a beautiful gathering that brought Muslims and Christians together a moment of unity, peace, and hope for our society. It reminded me that no matter our differences, we are one people. But even in that moment, the calls kept coming. Cries from people in pain, people going through heavy, painful situations. When I got back, I found them waiting vulnerable, hurting, and desperate for help. As you all know I cannot turn my back on the oppressed. I cannot ignore someone’s pain. So I stood with them. I listened. I walked with them through their struggles because sometimes, all someone needs is to know they are not alone. That is why today I woke up a bit late. The body needed rest, the muscles needed to recover. Because even as we serve others, we must also take care of ourselves. But nimejizoesha I could not wake up without speaking to you my people. You are the reason I keep going. You are the strength behind everything I do. I pray that God blesses each and every one of you. May He protect you and your families. To those at work, may God guide your efforts. To those still searching, may He open doors and give you hope again. Tafadhalini whatever you are going through, do not give up. Giving up is the only battle you must never lose. There is still light ahead. There is still hope. Your story is not over. Stay strong. Stay hopeful. Have a blessed day and enjoy the rest of your Monday.

Here’s a story of how my Prayer retreat turned to an unplanned date 😂 One evening in April, back in School of Ministry, while Apostle Selman was teaching us, he made a digression and started telling us about his life’s journey, the days of his struggles and how God pulled him out of a life of hardship. It was a very very emotional class as He encouraged us to not give up on God in our season of waiting. Tears flowed freely that evening as we prayed. Particularly for me because I was without an accommodation of my own and a job at the time. I had questioned what God was doing with my life in this City and I needed answers really quick. After the class that night, I decided to spend the following day Retreating at Millennium Park. There I was going to ask God questions and hold Jesus by the hem of His garment, or so I thought. I got to the park at 10am that morning and found a proper spot to lay the mat I had rented. I laid there studying and meditating for about an hour and then began to mutter words in tongues. A little while later, this pretty young lady walked up to me and asked if she could borrow my tripod stand which I had propped beside my backpack. I asked her to take it as I continued praying under my breath. About 15 minutes later, she returned again to ask me to share my wifi hotspot as she wanted to get data. I was quite puzzled because it takes a certain kind of audacity to be that demanding. 😂 It was an admirable kind of audacity, though. I mean, I liked the free spirit she had and, honestly, coveted it. After about 30 minutes of struggling to concentrate on my prayers and process what had just happened, I decided to go meet her at her mat a few trees away, partly to collect my tripod stand and partly because I thought, “Let me get to know this girl too.” 😂 We introduced ourselves to each other, turned out I was speaking with a celebrity Podcaster, Author and Public Speaker… Mimi Okana has a penchant for intellectual conversations and little did I know what I was in for that day. We talked, took a really long walk, shared a wrap of ram suya, took a walk back still talking and talking and talking away the afternoon. I eventually moved my mat to hers and all that were around must have thought we came together or something. A family nearby who were celebrating their baby’s second birthday brought us fried rice and chicken, then coleslaw and later zobo, and later a handful of cake. I had so much to eat that day. So much that I had enough to take home as well. By the time Mimi and I stood up to leave that evening, all of the burdens I went to the park with had been lifted. I felt way better and at peace. Speaking with Mimi had made me feel a lot lighter. And there was a strange flush of joy in my heart. Then on my way home, The Holy Spirit said to me “I didn’t bring you here today to lament to me. I brought you to give you a pat on the back and to let you know I’m still with you in this.” And that hit me. Because sometimes, when we are waiting on God, we become so consumed with asking, “When will this end?” that we forget to notice that God is already walking with us through it. The job and accommodation eventually came exactly a week later. But Sometimes the miracle is not that God immediately changes your situation. Sometimes the miracle is that He gives you enough joy, strength and assurance to keep walking until the situation changes. Will you look beyond the pain today and pay attention to the little things? The little moments of joy. The unexpected conversations. The laughter you didn’t plan for. The provision you almost overlooked. The strength to get through another day. The peace that doesn’t quite make sense. God is reminding you, even in the middle of your waiting, that He is still with you.

Gratitude Multiplied A few weeks ago, I received a call from my mom. “Jackie, there’s something on my heart. Worship Harvest has been so good to us. I feel we should host them so that we can thank them.” So we got to planning. Yesterday, my parents welcomed the church leadership into their home for an evening of fellowship and a meal. It was their way of saying, “Thank you.” As we used to do when Dad was still in active ministry, our family lined up to receive our guests. Then came the surprise. After greeting us, everyone returned to their cars. Moments later, they began walking back. Each person was carrying a gift. Box after box. Basket after basket. Some were so heavy they had to be carried by two people. “What is this?!” was all my siblings, my parents, and I could say as we stood there in complete disbelief. There is something profoundly beautiful about setting out to honor others, only to find yourself being honored in return. Yesterday, my parents experienced exactly that. We were completely undone. Apostle Moses Mukisa, Pastor Ary, and the entire pastoral team of Worship Harvest, thank you. Thank you for loving my parents. Thank you for honoring them. Thank you for faithfully walking with them over the years. Thank you for responding so generously to their invitation. Yesterday reminded me that gratitude has a beautiful way of multiplying. When it is offered freely, it is often returned abundantly. My parents set out to say, “Thank you.” What they received in return was an overwhelming expression of love, generosity, and honor. Mwebale nnyo, nnyo, nnyo. May God continue to bless you, increase you, and use you to be a blessing to many more. #GratitudeInAction #ThePowerOfThanks #Honor

The moment TOP read his comeback letter to his fans 🥹 you can see how emotional he was ♥️ “I’m home. I’m finally home.” 🔝: “Hello everyone, long time no see. I am T.O.P. How has everyone been? When I last stood on stage 10 years ago, I remembered that day: the scene of reading a letter to all of you. Back then, you and I made a promise: that if there is a farewell, there will certainly be a reunion as well, and that I would definitely return. To fulfill that promise, it surprisingly took a full and lengthy ten years. During these 10 years of living not as the artist T.O.P, but as an ordinary person named Choi Seunghyun, there were times when I felt very free, and moments when I felt at ease and comfortable. But on the other hand, it was also very lonely and a time filled with emptiness. Even so, I wanted to keep my promise to all of you; driven by just that single thought, I never stopped making music. Over these 10 years, time and time again as ordinary person Choi Seunghyun, I faced my true self. I think this period of time was just that. In the past, when I was on stage, words like 'Thank you everyone' and 'I love you' felt like things I could just say naturally, as a matter of course. But during the time I spent away from the stage, I truly understood from the bottom of my heart how deep and how precious that unconditional love was that everyone gave me. The reason I was able to endure this long period, walk this path all the way to today, and gather the courage to stand back in front of everyone is entirely because of your unchanging love and support. Although I spent this time apart, as I searched for and read every single word left behind by those who hadn't forgotten me and were still waiting, I truly gained so much courage and strength from them. Thank you so much, truly thank you so much. From now on, I want to use my music to repay all of you for this sentiment and keep giving back along the way. In addition, even if it's just a little bit, I hope to become a presence that can give strength to all of you. I will continue to give my all. From now on, I don't want to use the word 'reunion' anymore, because we will always be together from this day forward. Finally, just this one thing: more than anything, I wanted to look into your eyes and tell you in person—I really missed you all. And everyone, I'm back.” 🤍 CR. tipsy_gallery #TOP #TTTOP #최승현 #탑 #AnotherDimension

The first thing Messi did after finally becoming a World Champion was thank his teammates and tell them: “I love you all.” 💙🇦🇷 Gastón Edul: “And your celebration when Cachete (Montiel) takes the penalty and it goes in, everyone runs out and right away you turn around and find Leo. What was that moment like?” Leandro Paredes: “It was incredible. Every time I get tagged, that’s one of the videos I get tagged in the most throughout the week. I think once or twice a day they tag me in it, and it’s emotional. It’s emotional because I shout, ‘We’re World Champions.’” Gastón Edul: “There it is, look. The penalty. In slow motion, you go back to him. And the first person Messi meets as a World Champion is you, face to face. What did he say to you?” Leandro Paredes: “Nothing, he just thanked me. During the hug, he thanked everyone. He kept saying: ‘Thank you, thank you.’ He even said, ‘I love you all’ at one point. Yes, yes, he was really happy. That’s all he needed. That was the only thing missing.” Gastón Edul: “This hug is incredible, isn’t it? You carry it with you forever, tattooed.” Leandro Paredes: “Yes, yes. That and everything I experienced with him, whether with the national team, with the club, or outside of football. I’m lucky to feel him as a friend, to talk with him a lot, and to have shared all of this with him and achieved so many important things with him. For me, it’s…” Gastón Edul: “So, did you touch the highest glory?” Leandro Paredes: “Yes, one hundred percent. To achieve the World Cup as a player, which for us is the dream, every kid’s dream, and achieving it alongside him as well… it’s incredible.”

I am not a teary preacher. I don’t think I’ve shed tears in the pulpit in the last decade but for a few times. Back in March though, I preached a sermon on Psalm 23 while in a valley myself. I struggled to read the text, and trembled throughout the sermon. As people came forward to receive the Lord’s Supper, my eyes were streaming. It had been an especially difficult season of ministry, and having come out of the pandemic by God’s grace and not a little adrenalin, I felt empty to meet the new challenges. After church, several people checked in on me, wondering if everything was okay (my wife was home sick that Sunday with whatever I had had earlier in the week, but I was glad she wasn’t there). Sadly, I mostly felt ashamed of the tears, and was afraid that the vulnerability which couldn’t be masked would cause members to lose confidence in my ability to lead. I scrambled to send a letter to the church the next day, explaining that the season had been hard, and justifying my tears by appealing to the apostle Paul’s throughout the New Testament. The elders of our church were amazing, and granted me a sabbatical later in the year (which is coming to an end this month). Our family had been going hard for nearly a decade after planting, so we felt the timing was right. I am extremely thankful to the pastors in our presbytery as well as Seminary professors nearby at Westminster Seminary California that have filled our pulpit over the last three months to make my sabbatical possible. Our ruling elders have been spectacular, going above and beyond to minister to the needs of the congregation in my absence. For us, it has been a time to reflect on the last ten years, learn, travel, and rest as a family. I’m excited to return to the pulpit, and covet your prayers for reentry. I share this all to encourage my brother pastors, and their churches: Friends in pastoral ministry, I know how lonely shepherding can be. May the Good Shepherd comfort and keep you. May he lead you by the still waters of rest and refresh your soul. Don’t be ashamed of your weaknesses, nor be afraid of being despised for them. The person who despises you for your weakness shows contempt toward the very thing God intends to use to demonstrate his strength. God teach us to boast in our insufficiencies, and magnify the sufficiency of God’s grace through our weakness. Other people may never know the challenges you and your family have faced, but the Good Shepherd knows, and he hasn’t abandoned you. Take comfort from these words written by Charles Spurgeon to pastors: “…You sometimes may not understand your own experience, and the perfect people may condemn you for having it; but what know they of God’s servants? You and I have to suffer much for the sake of the people of our charge. God’s sheep ramble very far, and we have to go after them; and sometimes the shepherds go where they themselves would never roam if they were not in pursuit of lost sheep. You may be in Egyptian darkness, and you may wonder why such a horror chills your marrow; but you may be altogether in the pursuit of your calling, and be led of the Spirit to a position of sympathy with desponding minds. Expect to grow weaker, brethren, that you may comfort the weak, and so may become masters in Israel in the judgment of others, while, in your own opinion, you are less than the least of all saints.” Friends in churches with faithful pastors, remember that your minister is beset by weakness, just as you are. This enables him to sympathize with you, but it should also enable you to sympathize with him. Welcome your pastor’s weaknesses, and let God minister to you through them. It’s a sign of an unhealthy culture when a church permits no weakness, or awkwardly avoids it; and if God delights to work through our weaknesses, it may also be a way of squelching the Spirit’s work in and through us. Care for your pastors, even as they seek to care for you. If you have a minister who has been serving faithfully for 5-7 years without an extended breather, bring it up in a congregational meeting. Maybe your pastor doesn’t need it, or maybe something like a sabbatical is exactly what he and his family could use. My sabbatical ends Jan 1, and I am excited to be back at our wonderful church with the saints, many of whom have taken an interest in our well-being over the years. It’s a privilege to serve Christ and his bride, weak as we all may be.

I am beyond blessed and excited to announce my commitment to play Division I basketball at the University at Buffalo! 🐂💙 First and foremost, all glory to God. Thank You for the strength, guidance, and talent You’ve given me to reach this moment. None of this is possible without You. To my mom and dad… my biggest fans, my rocks. Thank you for your endless love, sacrifice, and encouragement. From the early mornings to the late nights, the pep talks, the dad workouts, and even the tough love. I’m forever grateful. Dejan Kulusevski on returning to full Tottenham training after a long-term injury. 🗣️“This is one of the happiest days of my career. People see football for ninety minutes every weekend, but they don’t see the months of pain, the lonely mornings in the gym, the frustration of watching your teammates fight while you’re stuck on the sidelines wondering when you’ll feel like yourself again.” “There were days I questioned everything. You wake up every morning hoping your body will respond, hoping you’ll take one step closer to the pitch, and sometimes it doesn’t. Those moments test you as a person far more than any football match ever could.” “I’ve missed this feeling more than words can describe. The dressing room, the laughter, the intensity of training, competing with my teammates again… it’s what I’ve dreamed about every single day since the injury happened. You never truly appreciate football until it’s taken away from you.” “I want to thank everyone who stood by me my family, my teammates, the medical staff and especially the Tottenham supporters. They never stopped believing in me, even when I couldn’t help the team on the pitch. Every message, every chant and every bit of support gave me strength when I needed it most.” “Now the hard work begins. I’m not back just to make up the numbers I want to fight, compete and prove that I’m still the player everyone remembers. I know there will be doubts, but I’ve always answered doubts with football.” “This injury didn’t break me it built me. It made me mentally stronger, hungrier and more grateful for every second I get to wear this badge. I promise the fans one thing: when I step back onto that pitch, I’ll leave absolutely everything out there. I’ve waited far too long for this moment to waste a single second.”

2026 INDEPENDENCE DAY ADDRESS: FROM REFORMS TO PROSPERITY My fellow Nigerians, Sixty-six years ago today, our flag was raised, for the first time, over a free and sovereign nation. Since then, we have journeyed together as one nation, bound by our collective trust in the great promise of Nigeria: that a country of our size, our bountiful resources, our cultural diversity and, above all, our extraordinary people can build a giant in Africa; that in this blessed and fertile land we can build a united, strong and prosperous nation; a land of regional authority and global consequence. Our journey has not always been easy. In truth, it has generally been too hard for too many. We have known moments of great hope and periods of profound disappointment. We have endured war, military rule, economic crises, insecurity and political upheaval. Yet through it all, Nigeria, with the indomitable spirit of its people, has endured. It has endured through the efforts of the farmer who rises before dawn to work his land. The trader who opens her shop each morning, hopeful for a productive day. The teacher who believes in the children entrusted to her care and the young entrepreneur who refuses to surrender ambition to circumstance. We are grateful for the men and women of our Armed Forces and security services who place themselves in harm's way so that the rest of us may live in peace. Through every difficulty, generations of Nigerians have continued to believe in one thing: that this country of ours will be better. This faith, which sustains us all, is the inheritance of independence. Our founding fathers did not struggle merely for a flag, an anthem or a place among the nations of the world. Independence carried a larger promise: that Nigerians would have the freedom to shape their own destiny and build a nation capable of providing opportunity, dignity and a better life for its people. Sixty-six years later, Almighty God has made it our responsibility to deliver that promise. Today, as we celebrate our independence, we must speak honestly about the journey so far, the choices we made, and the country we are determined to build from here. For too long, the promise of Nigeria was undermined by choices that postponed difficult decisions and allowed deep economic distortions to grow. By 2023, poverty was rising, and hope was nearly gone. The country's situation was darker than ever. We had no choice but to act. Nigeria was like a sick patient who receives the terrible news that he has cancer. His doctor explains that the treatment will be difficult and painful, but that it offers a strong prospect of recovery. The patient has a choice. He can begin treatment, endure its discomfort and fight the disease. Or he can ask only for morphine, dull the pain and leave the cancer to spread. For too long, Nigeria's leaders chose morphine while praying for a miracle that never came. They focused on symptoms while allowing the disease to take hold deep within the fabric of our society. We spent enormous sums sustaining inefficient arrangements that were never intended to last. We hid from difficult truths and passed the consequences from one generation to the next. When this Administration assumed office, we resolved to do things differently. We chose to excise the cancer. The reforms that followed were difficult. The side effects were real. Yet, we must never confuse the medicine with the disease. Our reforms did not create the weaknesses in our economy. They confronted them. Now, as certain influential but regressive voices would have us abandon the treatment and return ourselves to the abuse of addictive subsidies, we must resist their siren song. We must remember why we began this journey and how far we have already come.
