The Qur’an… When Gaza Rises from the Rubble In northern Gaza, where the scars of war remain on the streets, the walls, and the hearts, 1,400 memorizers of the Qur’an gathered in a scene that tells the story of a people. This is not merely a gathering of students of the Qur’an. It is a declaration that the Qur’anic mission in Gaza is alive and unstoppable, and that the message carried by this people is stronger than every attempt to break or erase it. They tried to destroy the homes and extinguish the light of this land, yet they discovered that the true light does not live in walls — it lives in hearts. In Gaza, wars may destroy mosques and schools, but they cannot destroy the Qur’an when it lives within people’s chests. Here in northern Gaza, 1,400 memorizers stand as a message to the world: that a people who carry the Book of God will never have their spirit broken, their mission silenced, or their identity erased. These are not just images. They are proof that Gaza, despite genocide and destruction, still rises with the Qur’an and writes its future through it. With Israel and Iran agreeing to a ceasefire, the world has shown that even the most dangerous conflicts can be paused. Now is the time to demand the same for Gaza.

الليلة الأولى… وغزة تعود إلى محرابها في الليلة الأولى من شهر رمضان المبارك، عادت غزة إلى محرابها، لا بمساجد من حجارة، بل بمساجد صنعتها الخيام. بعد أن دمّر الاحتلال المساجد، لم ينتظر أهل غزة الإسمنت ولا الإعمار، أقاموا بيوت الله من القماش، وثبّتوا أعمدتها بالصبر، وفرشوا أرضها بقلوبٍ خاشعة. هرولت الجموع إلى صلاة التراويح بكل حبٍ وشغفٍ واشتياق، ازدحمت الصفوف، وتعانقت الأرواح، وكأن المدينة كانت تنتظر هذه اللحظة منذ عامين من الإبادة والقتل، حتى روّاد المساجد لم يسلموا من الاستهداف. لكن الليلة… عاد القرآن يُتلى بين الركام، وعادت الصفوف تنتظم، وعادت غزة إلى سيرتها الأولى… بل أقوى. وهذا شيخنا الدكتور حسام النفّار بصوته العذب يؤمّ المصلين في مسجد الكنز بمدينة غزة، صوتٌ ملائكيّ ينساب في القلوب، فيطمئن الخائف، ويجبر المكسور، ويعلن أن الروح لا تُهزم. غزة الليلة لا تُصلّي فقط… غزة تنهض من جديد. تنهض من المساجد، ومن روّادها، ومن أئمتها، ومن الخيام التي تحوّلت إلى منارات نور. نُدمَّر… لكننا لا ننكسر. نبدأ من السجود… وننهض بالدعاء. After the occupation destroyed the mosques, the people of Gaza did not wait for cement or reconstruction. They raised houses of worship from fabric, anchored them with patience, and covered the ground with humbled hearts. Crowds hurried to the Taraweeh prayer with love, passion, and longing. Rows filled once more, spirits embraced, as if the city had been waiting for this night through two long years of devastation and killing—even worshippers had been targeted. But tonight… The Qur’an is recited again among the rubble. The rows stand in unity once more. Gaza returns to its original spirit—stronger than before. Sheikh Dr. Hussam Al-Naffar leads the prayer at Al-Kanz Mosque in Gaza City, his gentle voice flowing through hearts, bringing calm to the fearful, healing the broken, and declaring that the spirit cannot be defeated. Tonight, Gaza is not only praying… Gaza is rising again. Rising from its mosques, from its worshippers, from its imams, from tents transformed into beacons of light. Destroyed… yet unbroken. A second flotilla was unexpectedly intercepted in the early hours of the morning, far further out than the first. Activist Huwaida Arraf's ship, the Conscience, was one of nine vessels attempting to carry a reported $110,000 of aid to Gaza. It had diverted towards Egypt for safety, but was seized anyway. 145 people are believed to have been taken into Israeli detention. Much of Gaza is rubble, because its government Hamas built military tunnels under literally everything and waged jihad out of civilian buildings. But we saw the whole central section of Gaza still standing, an urban core where the Hamas regime still governs a small jihadist rump state. Under the New Gaza plan Jared Kushner unveiled today, this too will be demolished to make way for shiny towers, and Hamas Gaza will be transformed into a sparkling Dubai-on-the-Mediterranean. But it doesn't matter if you give every Gazan a penthouse with a private pool and valet. None of this matters if they believe that Gaza is not their home, and all this construction is temporary, because they're all about to pack up and move to Israel. The UN, through UNRWA, is telling Gazans that Gaza is not their home. That they have an inalienable right to move to Jerusalem, Jaffa, and Haifa because their grandparents were displaced in 1948 (in their own war of aggression, but that's another story). That's why they have "refugee" status indefinitely and why these buildings are called "refugee camps". The October 7 War was waged in the name of "return", to conquer Israel through jihad and replace it with Palestine. Gaza cannot be rebuilt peacefully if most of its inhabitants view it as a launchpad for conquest. And so Gaza cannot be rebuilt until it is deradicalized, and it cannot be deradicalized until UNRWA is demolished. The terror funding from the UK, Canada, EU, etc., to UNRWA must end because it is destroying any hope of peaceful reconstruction and dooming us to more war. This must have been the Last Gaza War.

Yesterday we revealed that the UN intends to approve for its 2026 budget various activities against the State of Israel. The UN will also allocate about $80 million this year to UNRWA, an organization that has for years been a hotbed of terrorism. This is an organization whose employees were involved in the October 7th massacre and the kidnapping of an Israeli citizen to Gaza. It is time for the UN to stop funding terrorism and start fighting it.
