Sednaya Prison has become globally infamous not only for real incidents, but for the fabricated, almost comical stories invented about it. From the tale of the โ€œmeat grinder,โ€ later admitted as false, to the absurd claim of a ten-year-old boy missing his father for 14 years! Even the story of a patient who came from Lebanon for treatment in Syria was twisted into: โ€œHe was released from Sednaya carrying marks of torture.โ€ No one denies that violations did take place inside this prison, but what is happening now in Jolaniโ€™s prisons is even harsher โ€” and yet no one dares to speak a word about it. The difference is that Sednaya became a stage for fabricated tales and propaganda, while Jolaniโ€™s prisons remain in the dark. Lies, manipulation, and hypocrisy may create media noise, but they do not build a country, nor do they deliver justice.

Lest We Forgetโ€ฆ and We Will Not Forget The children who fell in the Syrian coastal massacres were not fighters. They were not part of any conflict. But they were branded as โ€œremnants of the regimeโ€ and executed in cold blood simply because they came from a targeted community, from a noble sect that extremist militants sought to erase โ€” falsely in the name of revolution and religion. They are not numbers. They are not forgotten lines in history. They are the martyrs of March 7, 2025 โ€” slain by sectarian jihadist groups who brought with them a bloody project of extermination that has nothing to do with Syria or its people. And today, the butcher himself โ€” Jolani and his militias โ€” offers what he calls an โ€œinvestigationโ€ to clear himself and rewrite the crime in a fabricated narrative. An investigation with no justice, no legitimacy, and no conscience. We categorically reject this farce. We demand an urgent, independent, and transparent international investigation, free from any interference by the perpetrators or their authorities. The blood of the martyrs is a sacred trust. Their case is not a local issue, but a crime against humanity โ€” one that condemns not only the killers, but also those who were silent, those who justified, and those who colluded. ุงูŠุฉ_ุงู„ุฃู‚ู„ูŠุงุช #SyrianCoastalMassacres #StopAlawiteGenocide #CrimesAgainstHumanity #JolaniCrimes #HTSCrimes #JolaniIsAGlobalTerrorist #AlawitePersecution #SyriaMassacres #IndependentInvestigation #MinorityProtection #UN #UNSC #UN_HRC #EU #HRW #AmnestyInternational #InternationalCriminalCourt #SaveSyria #JusticeForSyria

Watch the short video clip attached of Andy Stanley. He is a teacher with a large flock in Georgia. How should we respond to what he is teaching in this clip? Godโ€™s Word has a severe warnings for those of us who are teachers. God instructs us that teachers/leaders are going to be a problem. You see those who teach, donโ€™t just teach facts per se. A teacher imparts a way of thinking, an interpretation of the facts, a worldview to the people being taught. Thatโ€™ why God gives us this warning: โ€œNot many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictnessโ€ (James 3:1). My father was a school teacher, but he also loved to teach Godโ€™s Word. But he would explain how he never wanted to lead anyone astray, which is why his favorite verses of Scripture began with, โ€œhave you not read?โ€ or โ€œit is written.โ€ He taught me about study bibles this way as an example of how we should evaluate what we are taught. He would say โ€œremember, the notes are not inspired like the text, so always use the text as the commentary on the notes.โ€ In other words, we need to judge what someone is teaching against the absolute authority of the Word of God. If we donโ€™t do this, we could easily be led astray Godโ€™s Word has many warnings about shepherds who lead the sheep astray. In fact there are numerous warnings, so we really need to take heed of this issue. For instance: โ€œWoe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!โ€ declares the LORDโ€ (Jeremiah 23:1). โ€œMany shepherds have destroyed my vineyard; they have trampled down my portion; they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wildernessโ€ (Jeremiah 12:10) โ€œBeware of false prophets, who come to you in sheepโ€™s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolvesโ€ (Matthew 7:15). As you watch this video clip, think about how lukewarm much of the church is today. Think about the fact that thereโ€™s been a generational loss from the church with Generation Z church attendance down to less than 9%. Think about the increasing number of churches going soft on the LGBTQ worldview accommodating their views instead of lovingly explaining how our beliefs and behavior have to be judged against the absolute authority of the Word of God, and that such a worldview is sin. In the era we live in, a major fact that has greatly undermined the impact of the church and led to many of the younger generations leaving the church for the world, is the rampant compromise the majority of church leaders have made with evolution/millions of years and thus undermining Genesis as literal history. And this history in Genesis 1-11 is the foundation of all doctrine, our worldview, the rest of the bible, of everything ultimately. This compromise has had catastrophic consequences on the church and the younger generations who have become so secularized and anti-Christian with many leaving the church. Doubt in God's Word led to unbelief. Generation Z are now considered the first post-Christian generation. This video clip is a prime example of what has happened in much of the church. Andy Stanley makes it very clear that Christians can accept evolution and say God used it to create. In fact heโ€™s adamant Christians have to accept this. Thus he is saying that God use death, suffering, disease and violence over millions of years to bring man into existence. That God calls all this death and disease as โ€œvery goodโ€ as He describes everything He created in Genesis 1:31 this way. Stanley has also accepted the evolutionary history in regard to interpreting cultures of the past. He is saying that the ancient Hebrews were not as intelligent as us today. That God couldnโ€™t explain how he created to them as they didnโ€™t have all the โ€œscienceโ€ that we have today. But this is not true. First of all, man has been intelligent right from the start. Iโ€™m sure Adam was highly intelligent with his perfect brain. Secondly, the bible is not a book written to counter near eastern mythology as Stanley claims. No, the bible is God breathed (2 Timothy 3:16) and is for all people, for all ages, for all time! โ€œThe grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand foreverโ€ (Isaiah 40:8). โ€œForever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavensโ€ (Psalm 119:89). Thirdly, God wrote His Word and knew that we in the 21st century would be the ones who would have trouble understanding it, as because of our intellectual pride in thinking we know a lot, we will think we are too sophisticated to believe Godโ€™s Word as written. We would rather believe the fallible word of man than the infallible Word of God. I judge Stanleyโ€™s word against Godโ€™s Word. Stanley is judging Godโ€™s Word against his own word and the word of fallible scientists he has chosen to believe. Such compromised teaching undermines the authority of the Word of God and results in lukewarm Christians at best. Sadly, over time, many doubt God's Word and end up walking away from the Christian faith. I know a lot of people will be upset with me critiquing such a popular speaker. But all of us need to accept that Andy Stanley is not the absolute authority, he is a fallen human being like all of us. He has a sinful heart as we all do, and our sin nature is prone to exalt the word of man instead of the Word of God, which was the temptation the devil made to Eve in Genesis 3:1. But we do have an absolute authority, God. He has given us His Word. So we need to judge our own actions and beliefs and what others are saying against the absolute authority of God's Word. When you do this with what Andy Stanley is teaching in this video, you realize he is not teaching God's Word as written, but imposing man's religion of evolution on God's Word. Evolution is a religion. It's the religion of naturalism, which is atheism. It's man's attempt to try to come up with a way of explaining life without God, based on natural processes. Sadly, just like the Israelites, so many of our leaders have taken mans false religion and compromised it with God's Word. This is an attack on God's Word and an attack on the character of God by blaming God for millions of years of death, disease, violence and suffering as the evolutionary story details. A verse I often think about in regard to such matters is this one: "Let God be true though every one were a liar" (Romans 3:4). โ€œFor the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into mythโ€ (2 Timothy 4:3โ€“4) We need to pray for Andy Stanley that God will open his eyes to the truth of His infallible word and faithfully teach God's Word to people.

I've become a missionary with one message. Every time I meet a young person, the same words: have children, get married, build a family. I did not decide on this calling. It overtook me. And it overtook me for a single reason. I had no idea. I genuinely did not understand how much joy, how much meaning, how much sheer beauty pours out of a child until I was holding one of my own and felt the floor of my life drop into something deeper than I knew was there. I grew up white, affluent, secular, comfortable, and insulated. That world does not put babies in front of you. None of my friends were starting families. Out of my whole circle, almost no one has a big one. We were not formed by the presence of children. We were formed by their absence, by the strange quiet of homes built for two careers and no cradle. And a person believes what his world shows him. So we believed. What we believed was a lie. It is a lie with an author, and that the author is the enemy of joy himself. It is the gospel of the world, and its commandment is wait. Wait until you are older. Wait until the career is built and the savings are stacked and the twenties are properly spent. Enjoy your freedom. You are not ready. It does not arrive sounding like temptation. It arrives sounding like wisdom, like prudence, like the responsible thing, and that is exactly why it works. The most effective lies are the ones that wear the face of virtue. And the maddening thing is that it collapses from every angle at once. It is not rooted in biology, because the body is made for this work precisely in the years we are told to postpone it. The flesh keeps a calendar the culture pretends not to see. And it is not rooted in theology either. You will not find this deferral anywhere in the Christian imagination, in any of the fathers, in any of the scriptures. So choose whatever lens you like. Take the cold secular measure or the ancient sacred one. By either light the counsel is rotten. It is bad for the body and bad for the soul and bad for the society downstream of both. This is why I have come to see it as one of the central tragedies of my generation. Every age carries its own wound. The Great Depression was a depression of bread, a scarcity in the world of matter, hunger you could measure. Ours is a depression of a different order. It is a famine of the spirit in the middle of abundance. We have more than any people who ever lived and we are starving in a way our ancestors would not recognize, because the thing we are refusing cannot be bought and cannot be banked. The ones most made to give and receive this love are quietly declining it. They are walking away from the one inheritance that actually compounds, and the cruelest part is that they do not feel the loss as loss. You cannot grieve what you were taught not to want. That is the deepest cut of it. The lie does not only steal the thing. It steals the capacity to know the thing was stolen. A man can spend his whole life on the far side of a door he never knew was a door, mistaking the wall for the edge of the world. Because this beauty is not ordinary beauty. It is not the pleasure of a good meal or a clear morning. It is participation in something that comes down from above, the same generative love that spoke everything out of nothing and called it good. To make a person, to be undone and remade by loving that person more than your own life, is to be drawn for a moment inside the very act that holds the cosmos together. A child does not merely add to your life. A child reorders the soul. It teaches you what you are by asking everything of you, and you discover, kneeling there exhausted at three in the morning, that you had a capacity for self gift you never suspected, a depth in yourself you had no other way to reach. In the Gospel of John, on the last night, Jesus prays, these things I have spoken to you that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete. And I have come to understand why family is the road into that fullness, why it is not one path among many but the one most fitted to the shape of the promise. Consider who is praying. Christ does not come to us as a lone figure dropped out of the sky. He comes out of a family older than the world, the eternal communion of Father and Son, the love between them so total and so alive that theologians dared to call it a third person. Before there was anything, there was a family. The deepest fact about reality is not a force or a law or a void. It is a household. It is begetting and being begotten, giving and receiving, a Father who is only a Father because there is a Son. So when Jesus speaks of joy made complete, he is not pointing away from family toward something higher. He is pointing toward the very thing he came from, the life he has known from eternity and came to share. His joy is the joy of belonging utterly to a Father and pouring himself out for those he loves. When you marry, when you bring a child into the world, when you wear yourself down in the small unseen labors of a home, you are not stepping outside that divine life. You are stepping into a small image of it. Your family is a created echo of an uncreated one. The love you give your child rhymes with the love the Father has for the Son. The exhaustion, the tenderness, the way a parent would tear the sky open to protect a sleeping infant, all of it is the heavens pressed faintly into flesh, the eternal household leaving its fingerprint on yours. That is why the joy is not merely added to family but completed in it. We were made in the image of a God who is, at his very root, relation and gift and generation. To found a family is to do the most Godlike thing a creature can do, to participate from below in the begetting that God does from all eternity. Your home becomes a window. Through it, dimly and imperfectly, you glimpse the country you came from and are going to. And now a word for the young people reading this, the ones who do not yet have children. I want to tell you what it is like from where I stand. When I am out somewhere, a restaurant, anywhere, and a large family comes through the door, the noise and the chaos and the small bodies of them, something happens in me on two levels at once. The first is joy. A pure gladness at the sight, the way you feel watching something good and alive. But underneath it, almost in the same instant, a sadness reaches up and takes hold of my heart. Because I know now, at my age, after my own years of waiting, that I will never have that. I will never know the particular fruit of a family that large, the fullness of that table, the weight of all those lives gathered under one roof. The door to it has quietly closed, and I felt it close. And I am telling you plainly, because I love you and have no reason to lie to you: you will feel this too. You will. The day will come when you see what you passed up, and you will recognize the ache for what it is, and it will be too late to answer it. So please, learn from a man who got it wrong. Let my regret be worth something by becoming your wisdom. Do not wait yourself into a grief you cannot undo. Choose now, while the door is open, so that you may step into a joy that does not end.

The headlines of these press interviews don't reflect Daouโ€™s actual response at all, so I want to share the full translation of what he said regarding the recent situation where a Cambodian influencer expressed disappointment about their experience meeting him. #DAOU #oueiija #เธ•เน‰เธฒเธซเนŒเธญเธนเน‹ His answer is genuinely admirable โ€” calm, respectful, and deeply empathetic. The way he spoke, his tone, and the language he chose showed remarkable maturity and understanding toward everyone involved. ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿฆ–: "I think the situation between us and Cambodia right now involves some misalignment. In truth, both sides have experienced losses, so itโ€™s understandable that people from each country are frustrated. Whatโ€™s important is that we acknowledge that they are upset, that theyโ€™ve suffered lossesโ€”and so have we. What I learned from all of this is: a fan who once loved me, after the incident between the two countries, said they now feel disgusted with me. I completely understand. They received news that caused their anger, and it led them to react that way. But for me, I donโ€™t want to respond to them in the same manner. I want all of us to seek the truth and truly understand what actually happened between Thailand and Cambodia. Because, like us, Cambodians may also be directly affected, so their frustration is valid. Even on our side, people who live near the border have suffered and are angry about the situation as well. Still, I donโ€™t think this is something we should use to blame one another. Because I understand the circumstances, I wonโ€™t hold it against them or retaliate. I want everyone to understand what really happened. If you ask whether I feel affected by their criticismโ€”yes, probably, because they were once my fan. But if you ask whether I would respond the same way, the answer is no. I understand that they might have received information different from what we received, and that theyโ€™ve seen losses on their side. And I feel sorry for every loss that happened on both sides. As a citizen, what I can do is to understand the situation and hope that everything resolves quickly and fairly." ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธQ: So youโ€™re not angry at them for criticizing you? ๐Ÿฆ–: "No, not at all. As I said, Iโ€™m a public figureโ€”Iโ€™ve received many criticisms. I understand where theyโ€™re coming from, and I donโ€™t feel the need to respond in the same tone. If I did, it would only escalate things, fueling the fire and distracting from the real cause of the conflict. It would become us arguing instead of addressing the root issue. That wouldnโ€™t benefit anyone. At the end of the day, there are people who suffered real losses, and others who are trying to protect their beliefs. Me responding harshly wonโ€™t help either side. So sometimes the best thing I can do is to do nothing. This isnโ€™t something citizens like us should fight each other overโ€”itโ€™s something that needs to be addressed at its true source. Itโ€™s beyond my ability to resolve, especially if my response ends up being used against one side or anotherโ€”it would never end. For me, as long as I know Iโ€™m not what they claim I am, thereโ€™s no need for me to engage. Itโ€™s like a blank sheet of paperโ€”everything has already been written on it by others, even without me responding."

This isn't alien technology, literally or metaphorically. The breakthrough here isn't in engineering at all โ€” it's in corporate organization. See, most machines are broken because the organizations that make them are broken. As an engineer, I would estimate that at least 30% of the parts of any given device exist only to correct for the design flaws in the other 70%. Works like this. Suppose I, an engineer, design a set of pipes and injectors to feed fuel to a combustion chamber at a consistent and controllable rate. Except in testing, there's some corner cases it doesn't handle well. Now, if you're an engineer, you understand this is normal. Nobody ever gets a design right the first time, unless it's so trivial that it's probably been done before. Your first design doesn't survive the wind tunnel, your first code doesn't compile right away, and if does, it segfaults. Your rockets blow up. And there's a flow problem with your fuel feed lines. It happens. Doesn't mean you're stupid. Means you didn't have enough information. But you have an even bigger problem. Middle management. Middle management is a special variety of hazmat suit, which is worn by the finance, sales, or market guys who run companies, so they don't have to touch the icky engineers. C-suite guys hate hate hate engineers, because it's a terrifying sensation to be dependent on someone you cannot understand, who doesn't appear to respect you much. (It does not occur to them that it is also extremely frustrating to have your work paid for, and thus controlled, by someone who cannot understand what you do, who doesn't appear to respect you much.) The primary role of middle management is talk to engineers so C-suite guys won't have to, and the primary qualification is to be a member of the right social class, and to hate engineers. This qualification is dressed up in secret handshake buzzwords like "management experience", as used in the sentence "I know you have been an engineer for twenty years and the other engineers all come to you for advice and leadership, but you don't have management experience, so I am going to hire my golfing buddy's 23 year old kid, who just graduated business school." So the fact that the fuel lines lines are not working quite right isn't your problem. That's part of the normal engineering process. Your problem is that your manager hates you and everything you stand for, and doesn't trust you or take your word for anything. He think his job is to keep you in line rather than help or empower you. So when you say "the fuel feed lines need to be redesigned", he says "we already spent six months and seventeen million dollars design the fuel feed system, we can't let you do it again." He thinks you are telling him seventeen million dollars worth of work needs to be thrown away and redone, and he cannot be told otherwise, because he cannot be told anything. So he says "you have two weeks and fifty thousand dollars to fix it". So you add another turbopump. What else can you do in two weeks? Now there's a new part. And if something goes wrong with that, another new part will be added to fix it. Because the company's actual priority isn't what you are responsible for โ€” the design. It's what middle management is responsible for โ€” the schedule and the budget. You have to play the villain so they can play the hero. What middle management doesn't understand, is paid to not understand, is what engineering actually is. Engineering is the process of making mistakes until you run out of mistakes to make. So when you spend six months and seventeen million dollars, and ended up with a design that doesn't quite work right in all cases, you weren't throwing away money, you were burning through mistakes. You've gotten a lot of them out of the way and won't make them again. But you have to get rid of some more before the design is actually right and doesn't require extra parts. The work of engineering isn't making the thing. It's teaching yourself to make the thing. Once you've done that, you can make the thing with minimal effort and time, because you know how to make the thing. C-suite financiers would hate this idea if they understood it. Why? Because it's unpredictable. Financiers like safe investments that make money. Not knowing how long something will take or how much it will cost is terrifying to them. So they train engineers to lie to them, by hiring a middle managers who try to force them to lie, and just interpret every guess as a promise if engineers still refuse to do so. But lying to yourself doesn't make the truth go away. The truth is that engineering projects take as long as they take, and cost as much as they cost. And that no one knows how long or how much they will be, because no one knows how many mistakes are waiting to be made, until they actually make them. The only thing you thing you can do about this is hire really good engineers, who catch more of their mistakes on the white board, leaving fewer to be caught in the wind tunnel, and this makes engineering faster... but it doesn't make engineering more predictable. Gantt charts are nothing but a collection of lies that corporations have taught themselves to tell themselves, lies that middle managers try to make true by enforcing them as promises. The ultimate reason that machines are 30% unnecessary parts is that the corporations that build them are 30% unnecessary people. This is what's different about Elon Musk. It's not that he's a better engineer. It's that he's a better manager. He understands engineers and engineering, and he doesn't hate them because he is one. He understood all along that green-field design is full of unknown-unknowns, and that there is absolutely no number-crunching, pie-chart, MBA magic that can eliminate this risk... it can only be hidden from view. The critical understanding is in the video clip below, where he says that SpaceX only had a 10% chance of success. You cannot say something like that unless you get it. And when you get it, you are free. Free from artificial anxiety about schedules and budgets. Anxiety about schedules and budgets is based on the delusion of control. Managers can't make a project finish "on time". They never could. The only power they have is the power to screw it up. The fate of a project is already written in the unknown unknowns before it ever starts. And the best, the absolute best, an engineering team can ever do, under any circumstances, is to confront those unknowns with clear-eyed honesty, and a willingness to adapt. Well, when you say to yourself, "This project has a 10% chance of succeeding", you've already confronted the pain of those admissions, which means you have already conquered the fear. The fear that makes you try to treat a prediction as a promise. The fear that makes you insert an extra turbopump, when what you really need to do is get busy redesigning the pipes, even though you have no idea how long it will take or much it will cost. Even when your rockets blow up. The SpaceX Raptor engine isn't just, or even primarily, a triumph of engineering smarts. It's a triumph of character. It's about an entire team with virtues MBAs lack: self-awareness, persistence, courage, humility, and, ultimately, hope. Because that's what it takes to pursue the best design, the RIGHT design, not even knowing if it exists to be found, much less whether you'll find it before you run out of money. Great things are not accomplished by middle managers with spreadsheets and Gantt charts. They are accomplished by teams of experts with passion and vision. Who are willing to risk failure so they can succeed. So what's the point in me saying all this? Am I just writing a puff piece on SpaceX and the Raptor engine? No. The point is that this is not special, one-off, magic alien technology. It's the systematic result of a correct understanding of engineering. Which means that EVERY COMPANY CAN BE LIKE THIS. If the people who control the purse strings are willing to learn from this example, and stop managing with spreadsheets and fear.

This Kafir Zindiq dare to speak about โ€œunityโ€ while your doctrine is built upon hatred of the Companions? Unity with those whom Allah ุฌู„ ุฌู„ุงู„ู‡ praised in His Book or unity with those who curse them, belittle them, and accuse them? This individual who says and claims Aisha ุฑุถูŠ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู†ู‡ุง is a hypocrite or a zaniyah ูˆุฃุนูŠุฐู‡ ุจุงู„ู„ู‡ ูˆุฃุนูŠุฐู‡ ุจุงู„ู„ู‡ is he speaking in utter Kufr Allah ุฌู„ ุฌู„ุงู„ู‡ Himself exalted her in His Book and honoured her above all women of her time. To attack her honour is to oppose what Allah ุฌู„ ุฌู„ุงู„ู‡ has decreed and to directly attack the dignity of the prophet ๏ทบ Allah ุฌู„ ุฌู„ุงู„ู‡ says He is pleased with the Companions. You claim otherwise. So what โ€œunityโ€ are you calling to? Unity upon contradicting the Quran? Letโ€™s be clear there is no unity between truth and falsehood. You cannot insult Abu Bakr, Umar, and the ูƒุจุงุฑ ู…ู† ุงู„ุตุญุงุจุฉ those who carried this Deen, preserved it, and conveyed it and then expect to stand shoulder to shoulder with those who love and defend them. This is not a small ุงุฎุชู„ุงู. This is a fundamental contradiction in creed. The Deen reached you through those very Companions you attack. If you undermine them, you undermine the entire religion you claim to follow. There is no intellectual honesty in that, only contradiction and ุงุชุจุงุน ู„ู„ู‡ูˆู‰. โ€œUnityโ€ is not a ุดุนุงุฑ you hide behind when your beliefs are exposed. True unity is upon the truth upon the Quran and the Sunnah as understood by the Sahabah, not upon reviling them. So no we will not unite upon insulting those whom Allah praised. We will not compromise the foundations of the Deen to accommodate deviation. If you are sincere, then return to the truth. Honor those whom Allah honored. Stop speaking about unity while holding beliefs that shatter it at its core. Just as the people of Palestine cannot unite with those who oppress them, expel them, and deny their rights unity is not built with those who fundamentally oppose your very foundation. And even that is a worldly conflict. What you are calling to is far more dangerous because it strikes at the very core of the Deen itself. This is not about land, politics, or temporary ุธู„ู…. This is about belief, about the very carriers of this religion, about the integrity of Islam itself. If your doctrine is built upon reviling those whom Allah ุฌู„ ุฌู„ุงู„ู‡ praised, then the contradiction is not small it is foundational. So do not speak to us about โ€œunityโ€ while holding beliefs that tear apart the very roots of the Deen. We do not unite upon falsehood. We do not unite upon contradiction. And we certainly do not unite at the expense of the truth. Any Muslim who promotes or amplifies this individual for the sake of Allah ุฌู„ ุฌู„ุงู„ู‡, distance yourself from me unfollow. I will not associate myself with those who normalise attacks on the foundations of this Deen or remain silent in the face of it. This is not a difference of opinion. This is about protecting the integrity of Islam, the honour of those whom Allah ุฌู„ ุฌู„ุงู„ู‡ praised, and the truth that was entrusted to this Ummah. As for those who follow such ุงู„ูƒู„ุงู… blindly, then fear Allah. Examine what you are supporting. The Deen is not a place for desires, personalities, or selective loyalty. I ask Allah ุฌู„ ุฌู„ุงู„ู‡ to protect me from misguidance, from being deceived by falsehood dressed as truth, and from companionship that pulls one away from the straight path.

David Lean on how to direct actors & shares a funny story that happened during the filming of 'The Bridge on the River Kwai' (1957) "Interviewer: Could you talk about how you work with your actors? Lean: Dangerous subject. Well, itโ€™s intensely personal. I always try not to speak in a loud voice when Iโ€™m talking to an actor on the set. I gently take them aside, and I whisper because I donโ€™t want to give the impression, for their sake, that they are being told to do this or that by a teacher. I try as hard as I can to make them suggest something that I want them to think of. The trouble with actors is that itโ€™s a very di cult job with this damned glass eye looking at them all the time. Itโ€™s quite di cult talking to all of you here, but Iโ€™d rather talk to all of you than I would have a hundred-millimeter lens pointing at me. Itโ€™s so concentrated. Itโ€™s part of a directorโ€™s job, I think, to get the actor to give as good a performance on the stage as he gave to himself in the bath in the morning. So I try to relieve them of their inhibitions. It doesnโ€™t help if you talk from a great height, from a megaphone, as it were. I try to get their confidence. I try to give them confidence. I canโ€™t bear some actors, the rambunctious types who think they know everything. Youโ€™ve got to knock them down and make them realize they donโ€™t know everything. If youโ€™ve really done your homework on the script, you, the director, know the part better than any damned actor because youโ€™ve been at it for months. Iโ€™ve had lots of actors who want to change dialogue. I see them doing it. I wonโ€™t have it. They took on the script and theyโ€™ll stick to it. Iโ€™m terribly tempted to tell you a rather long story about Sessue Hayakawa. You know, I nd constantly that actors really are not interested in anything but their own parts. We had a scene in 'The Bridge on the River Kwai' (1957) where they had all the troops lined up, and Sessue gets up on the soapbox and talks. We went through a rehearsal, and I said, โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong?โ€ Because it was the speech and yet it wasnโ€™t the speech. What Sessue had done was to learn all the lines that were only his. He had cut out all the lines that were anybody elseโ€™s. The main script was about that thick, and his script was only that thick. He marked only the pages in which he spoke. He had thrown out the rest and bound it together. Now, we came to the scene at the end of the picture. Alec Guinness is looking over the edge of the bridge and he thinks he sees some wires. He goes up to Hayakawa and says, โ€œColonel Saito, thereโ€™s something rather peculiar going on. I think we better go and have a look.โ€ Guinness walked o the bridge, which leads down to the rocks, and Sessue stayed there like a rock. I said, โ€œGo on, Sessue, follow him.โ€ He said, โ€œI follow him?โ€ I said, โ€œSessue, this is where you nd the wires and where you get killed.โ€ He said, โ€œI get killed?โ€ He had thrown the page away because he had no dialogue. Iโ€™ll tell you another story about an actor, though I wonโ€™t tell you who it was. He was damn good, but I was kind of dissatisfied. I said, โ€œLook, I understand that an actor is projecting ninety percent to the person heโ€™s playing with, and ten percent is going out toward the camera. Iโ€™ve only just realized that youโ€™re putting ninety percent out to the camera, and ten to whom youโ€™re playing with.โ€ It changed his performance immediately." (David Lean's interview to AFI, 1984)

Make Something Wonderful is 250 pages of Steve Jobs in his own words, speaking directly to you. The book contains some of Steve's ideas that I've never found anywhere else. Notes from the book: 1. He didn't care about being right. He cared about being excellent. 2. His mind was never a captive of reality. 3. He said working with great people gives you access to wisdom that you can't buy for love or money. 4. He believed technology should be streamlined and practical, simple and sophisticated, and that it should be a tool for enhancing creativity as much as productivity. 5. He believed you should ambush your customers. Meet them where they are. 6. His ideas were not arguments, but intuitions. He had a true inner freedom and an epic sense of possibility. 7. He gave an extraordinary amount of thought to how best to use our fleeting time. 8. By the time he was thirty he was the public face of a Fortune 500 company. 9. At Appleโ€™s first board meeting he put his bare feet on a conference room table. 10. He said you should think of your life as a rainbow arching across the horizon of this world. You appear, have a chance to blaze in the sky, then you disappear. 11. He possessed unbelievable rigor that he imposed first, and most strenuously, on himself. 12. He saw clearly (1) what was not there, (2) what could be there, (3) what had to be there. 13. He said early Apple employees were more like poets and painters than cold technologists. That the passion they put into their products were completely indistinguishable from other creative fields. He said their work was a form of love. 14. He had a verbal mastery that was obvious at a young age. He used simple, descriptive language, told stories, and repeated lines and ideas that were important. 15. He thought it was inevitable that computers would be the dominant medium of human communication. He said this in 1983. 16. He had a talent for spotting markets full of second-rate products. 17. He said you could tell how important a product was based on the amount of time people spent interacting with it. As a result he thought it was inevitable that more design talent would shift from the automobile (1 or 2 hours a day) to computers (6+ hours a day). He said this in the 80s. 18. He said that books kept him out of jail and that itโ€™s a shame there are so many mediocre teachers. 19. Like many great entrepreneurs before him, Steve knew what he wanted to do, but didn't know how to do it yet. He said he wanted to make an insanely great computer that was the size of a book. What he described sounded a lot like an iPad. He said this in the 80s. 20. He believed that you should use your unique set of talents to make things that make the lives of other people better. Most people just take. He said "the ability to put something back into the pool of human experience is extremely neat." 21. He would tell his team โ€œYou work for Apple first and your boss second.โ€ He felt strongly about that. 22. He was constantly placing the products he was making in a historical perspective, like comparing the Macintosh to the invention of the telephone. 23. He believed you needed to give yourself more time to make mistakes. He said his taste got more refined as he made mistakes. He said that making mistakes over a long period of time made his aesthetics better. 24. He said the key ingredient to making something great was time. 25. He said he wanted to spend his life building things. He could have retired to a beach in his 20s and thought that was disgusting. 26. He was interested in learning how to hone a company down to its essence. 27. You read this book and a thought jumps out at you: How many people are willing to go through a decade of failure without quitting? Steve had the capacity to take pain. 28. He believed it was better to focus on what you're actually passionate about, instead of what you think will make you the most money. He made the most money that way. 29. He listened to older, wiser entrepreneurs and let them shape and mold his thinking. 30. He wasn't afraid to fail, but had to coach himself to adopt that trait. He didn't want to fail, but he wasn't afraid of it. 31. He said don't let your differentiation evaporate. 32. He said if you let your differentiation evaporate the only solution is innovation. 33. He believed great ideas don't map onto corporate hierarchy. 34. He was incapable of thinking that his work and his life were different, separate things. 35. He said the most important things in life are not the goal-oriented, materialistic things. He said you should tap into the worldโ€™s magical, mystical, and artistic sides. 36. He paid attention to subtle insights. He was guided by intuition. 37. He didn't believe in the concept or a career, or think it was wise to follow well-worn paths laid out by others. 38. He said most people make the mistake of not thinking about death. He said: "For me itโ€™s the opposite: to know my arc will fall, makes me want to blaze while I am in the sky." 39. He thought Walt Disney had a great idea: Edit before you make it. 40. He said no amount of technology can turn a bad story into a good story. 41. He believed storytellers were the most powerful people in the world. 42. He believed if you didn't have great people you were doomed. 43. He found great people by looking at great results and finding out who was responsible for them. 44. This is how he interviewed people: "In an interview I will purposely upset someone: Iโ€™ll criticize their prior work. Iโ€™ll do my homework, find out what they worked on and say, โ€œGod, that really turned out to be a bomb. That really turned out to be a bozo product. Why did you work on that?โ€ The worst thing that someone can do in an interview is to agree with me and knuckle under. What I look for is for someone to come right back and say, โ€œYouโ€™re dead wrong and hereโ€™s why.โ€ 45. He believed the job of the leader was to make sure the work is as good as it should be, and to get people to stretch beyond their best. 46. He believed the job of the leader was to cajole, and beg, and plead, and threaten at timesโ€”to do whatever is necessary to get people to see things in a bigger and more profound way and to have them do better work than they thought they could do. 47. He believed the priorities of the leader were (1) recruit, (2) set an overall direction, and (3) inspire and cajole and persuade. 48. He believed a creative company should have a risk-taking, creative environment on the product side and a fiscally conservative environment on the business side. 49. He believed you have to choose what you put your love into really carefully. 50. He had a remarkably consistent set of values that he held dear: Life is short; donโ€™t waste it. Tell the truth. Technology should enhance human creativity. Process matters. Beauty matters. Details matter. The world we know is a human creationโ€”and we can push it forward. 51. He thought when deciding what to work on that you should ask yourself: "What do I give a shit about?" And then go do that. 52. He would never sell Apple. Not for all the money in the world. 53. He believed you should master the basics, simplify the product line, and focus on the gems. 54. He believed marketing was about values. That the world is noisy and you should focus on telling customers what you believe in and what you stand for. 55. He believed one way to invest in yourself is by exploring uncharted paths that are different from your past experiences. You know it's an uncharted path when you have no idea where it will lead. 56. He believed that people that think theyโ€™re following a safe path pay the highest price of all. They won't realize it for a decade or two โ€” and by then it's too late. 57. He didn't believe in resting on laurels or sleeping on wins. Make something great. Then do it again. 58. He imagined what reality lacked and set out to remedy it. 59. He believed in straight forward, clear communication. If the work isn't good enough you have to tell them straight: "This isn't good enough. I know you can do better. You need to do better. Now go do better." 60. He remained driven by a mission to "put something back into the pool of human experience." 61. He believed in the basics: great product, great marketing, great distribution. 62. He believed you must keep up with innovations in distribution. 63. He believed brands take decades to build. 64. He would capture the evolution of his own thinking by emailing himself. 65. He viewed Apple has the world's premier bridge builder between normal people and the exploding world of high technology. 66. He wanted to demystify technology. 67. He believed excellence was a habit and we are what we repeatedly do. 68. He believed you should be curious about what came before you and you should spend time to learn about it. 69. He believed you simply could not mix messages when selling something new. A customer can barely handle one great new idea, let alone several. 70. He said it's a circus world and you'll never know what's around the next corner. 71. He believed in management by values. Which means (1) find people that want the same things you want and (2) figure out the best way to get those things along the way. 72. He believed in the mantra: Finding the right people is half the battle. 73. He said you can't plan to meet the people who will change your life. 74. He believed everything is temporary โ€” there is no such thing as safety. 75. He believed that your life is a story and that you should remember that your life is a story and that you should always act like your life is a story. 76. He believed in rejecting dogma, which he defined as living with the results of other people's thinking. He said that dogma can be so loud that it can drown out your own inner voice and you should avoid this. 77. He believed a great place to start was by improving a product you hate. If you can make something you love, you can convince other people to love it too. 78. He said all glory is fleeting and you should just get back to making something wonderful. I'm really proud of the episode I made about this book. You'll learn a lot from Steve by listening to it. You can watch/listen to it in full here, or in your favorite podcast app.

THIS MADE ME LAUGH IN A "you are just waking up" kind of way! ๐Ÿ˜‚ If you know this man well, youโ€™d understand that he fits the profile of "I am Yoruba but..." He used to come online and praise the Igbos, making it seem like the Yorubas who were speaking out about the disrespectful nature of the Igbos were in the wrong. He criticized Yoruba conservatives for voicing their concerns, while Igbos happily shared his videos with captions like, โ€œLook at a Yoruba man saying all these things about Yorubas! Thank God itโ€™s a Yoruba man saying it.โ€ But today, this same man has realized that the Yoruba conservatives were right after all! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜ This is probably the fourth video I've seen of Yoruba liberals admitting they were wrong. Like I always say, I need the Igbos to keep doing what they are doing, and people like us will continue to amplify it for them . I canโ€™t count how many direct messages Iโ€™ve received from Yoruba liberals thanking me for helping them see the truth about whatโ€™s going on. That alone keeps me going. No Yoruba should ever allow anyone to gaslight you or bully you for anything. If I werenโ€™t strong, I would have given up after they targeted me, posting different pictures online claiming they were of me and my Family . They even went as far as making Arise News talk about me to try to bully me into hiding. But Iโ€™m like, โ€œYou all donโ€™t know that what lies ahead of me is much greater than your bullying.โ€ We must sanitize the Yoruba mindset. We have been liberal because we love and accept guests to come into our land to live and thrive , but when that guest starts to mess up your TV remote and break glass cups, you realize itโ€™s time to call that guest to order. DO NOT LET ANYONE GASLIGHT YOU INTO HATING YOURSELF JUST BECAUSE THEY WANT YOU TO DULL YOUR LIGHT FOR THEM TO SHINE! ๐ŸŒ€โš•๏ธ

Dumbing Down II "By Faith, this is the last rent I am paying as a single lady. If you support me to pay this rent, by the grace of God, this time next year, I will be in my husband's house." is back begging for support to pay another rent. Not because God didn't bring eligible suitors her way, but because her PASTOR has replaced the Holy Spirit in her life. Pastors ruin a lot of destinies when they insist on playing God instead of their primary role as destiny guides. Many members have submitted their free will to their pastors, giving their pastors the power that God himself didn't take from us from the dawn of creation. When you take the ability of the individual to act as a free agent in the name of religion, you reduce him or her to a puppet and yourself to a puppeteer. You want to pull the strings of the lives of thousands of born-again Christians at the same time while rendering them useless to follow their paths in Christ and grow into mature sons. I was at a Church in Anthony village about three years ago to minister, and I met this young man who was schooled at a very prestigious university in the USA. He was the in-house IT consultant of the church, and the pastor placed him on a monthly stipend while he was working for God. It was the Pastor who introduced the young man to me while boasting that God had given him the most capable hands to help him in ministry. I asked him if he had any Python, Java, cloud engineering, data management, digital marketing, coding, or similar tasks available for the young man in the church. He said no. I said, "You are giving this young man the job that any young school leaver who is proficient in computer appreciation can do, and you don't see it as limiting his capabilities and rendering his skills obsolete?" You would rather boast that you are ruining a destiny to build up your own profile rather than set this young man on the path of excellence? Did God call him into ministry as a preacher? Is he understudying you in preparation for his own ministry? The pastor said, "No, I plan that as the church expands, he will head our digital infrastructure and position us for the future." I said, "He can do that as a consultant or even as a member, he shouldn't be doing that while you are paying him 100,000 Naira a month. He should be out there, flying with his peers and earning in dollars! The only exception is if the Lord has called him to be a preacher and he is understudying you as your personal assistant, as led by the Lord as part of his season of preparation. Anything other than that is injurious to his destiny!" The pastor had never seen it that way When I was done ministering in the church, the young man hugged me and thanked me profusely. He said his mother sent him to the pastor when he returned from the USA and the pastor immediately told him that God had need of him in the ministry or he would die without fulfilling his purpose. Why do pastors do this? I have another case from the Northern part of Nigeria. A young lady reached out to me seeking clarity regarding her future She said her Apostle told her she has been raised by God to sing in his church choir, but she is a medical doctor by training and desires to further her studies abroad Every time she raised the issue with the Apostle, he shut her down and told her she was struggling with the will of God "Why can't you just submit to God and serve in the choir and watch as God will take your voice all over the world as this ministry grows?" The young lady said she knows she has a good voice and sings very well as one who is full of the Holy Spirit, but she does not want to be "Sinach", she wants to fulfil her dream of practising as a Pediatrician. She was wary of incurring the wrath and curse of the Apostle, however, and did not know how to extricate herself from the situation. The apostle did not see anything wrong with his actions because he was a user of people who believed that in order to fulfill his own desire to become a big ministry, others could not thrive and grow in their visions and ministries as ordained by God. This is witchcraft. It is not of God. Jesus didn't lead his disciples this way. Insecurity is the undoing of many African so-called Pastors and Spiritual leaders, and they hide behind the illusion of divinity to put others in bondage. I experienced this firsthand as a young graduate, so I understand how a pastor trying to build his ministry could see the potential in a young man or woman and try very hard to turn such a person into servants and house helps in the name of discipling them or training them for kingdom relevance You graduate from the University and join the labour force, you apply for many jobs, and at a point, you tell yourself it is important to seek supernatural guidance in your quest to fulfil destiny Somebody somewhere tells you about a church or a ministry, you join, and you are convinced the church is good. You also tell your friends, and they join. But you are all fresh graduates who are heading into the future one way or the other, but this pastor wants you to be his flock. To him, his church of ten members had suddenly become a church of 30 members because of you guys, and he wants to keep the numbers growing, so he begins to give you prophesies that were not of God but with the aim of keeping you in the fold for as long as possible. He told young graduates who ought to go for NYSC that God is telling him they should give it up for service to God in the vineyard. The mother of two of the ladies in the fellowship, whose daughters told that the pastor told them not to go for NYSC, quickly removed them from the fellowship before the seed of corruption being planted by this pastor would bear fruit The others also left as soon as they could gather their wit People who you ought to guide on their path in sincerity ran as far as they could from you based on how you chose to manipulate rather than nurture them. A married woman whose husband worked abroad was a trained secretary, and while her husband was abroad, catering to the needs of the family, he begged her to stop working so that she could focus on raising the children. She was raising five children all by herself, and combining this with a job seemed a bit too much at the time. One of the vital institutions for raising godly children was the church This woman attended church regularly with her children and even volunteered to spend any free time she had typing the pastor's sermons, Sunday School pamphlets, handouts, books, journals, and other church reports and documents She was not officially employed to do the work; she just saw that she could take some of the secretarial duties on during her downtime, and she did so with all sincerity. The church enjoyed her free services for five years until the pastor forgot completely that she was doing the church a favour One day, the woman came to church to tell the pastor that her husband would be returning home to visit the family, and she would not be available for a few days because she had to pick her husband up from the airport and ensure that he settled in properly. Unfortunately, that weekend was the weekend of the church's anniversary, and the pastor had a lot of secretarial work to do. He told the woman God said she should pick one. Heaven or marriage. He said if she goes to pick her husband from the airport, she has chosen the world and forsaken the Lord. The woman wept all the way home, It was not the thank you, thou faithful servant report she had worked day and night for many years to get that she received. She went to pick her husband from the airport and distanced herself from any church founded by any individual after that experience. She said the ambition of church founders requires that they use people to build, even though they lacked the resources to pay or compensate such people, so they resort to blackmail, coercion, lies, fake prophesies, promises, and manipulations to get things done while keeping their followers on a leash. Followers are also enablers as they refuse to read the Bible for themselves and walk in the light of the word of God. No one should be able to take you captive in the name of God, Jesus, all the angels, or any form of miracle if you know the word of God. The word of God is profitable to make one wise, and therefore, anyone who knows the word of God cannot fall victim to any false doctrine, teaching, spiritual manipulations, or lies. All the false teachings of someone being a covering for someone else came from these manipulative narratives, and believers should be wise to them. I have seen a pastor declare that his church is the only church in Africa that is licensed by God to take people to heaven, and some members believed him. The day he said that, all his members ought to laugh, pick up their Bibles, and leave without looking back. Self-aggrandisement has become the order of the day in some churches, the pastor sells himself as the be-all and end-all of the member's spiritual enlightenment, and the members sheepishly surrender their eyes of their understanding to him or her. He or she must determine where they work, whom they marry, who they associate with, whose music they must listen to, and whose sermons they must hear. If they want to travel, he must see if the road is clear on their behalf, if they want to build a house, he must approve, if he does not dedicate their baby, the baby is illegitimate. This is not the faith Christ or the Apostles died for. Jesus died that you might be free of religion. Christianity is not a religion, it is the opposite. It is individualistic and determined by the faith and belief system of the one rather than the many. Salvation, therefore, is a personal affair, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit is also a personal affair Religion is the opium of the masses, and Christianity is the salvation of the individual and his or her walk with God. When we fellowship together, we do so not so we can get brainwashed by one "super Christian" but so that we can minister to the Lord and minister to one another in the presence of God. Every believer must hold this truth to be self-evident. PS: Someone sent me the video of a pastor condemning a song recently released by a fellow believer, which is making a global impact The Pastor represents an old school of Christians who are unfit to be custodians of the gospel due to their rigidity and limited understanding of the finished work of Christ. Disciples of the gospel of Works and Performance lack creativity and discernment but are good stewards of rigidity and religious doctrines. In other words, a Pharisee must act like one, and Jesus must act like Jesus. We are all just being true to our nature. "I can never go back o No...No It's already too late o No...No Where Am I going to... No...No" If you read to this point, when I was in Spain, I asked a very important question about a meal. If you know the answer, I'm inside the comment section. -GSW-

#Youngjae reflects on mental health, sharing how he once felt like he couldnโ€™t run away and why he wants to remind fans that itโ€™s okay to seek help ๐Ÿ‘ค i donโ€™t remember exactly when, but there was a time you talked about going through something really tough in the past, was that on the radio? ๐ŸŒ™ yes, i talked about it a lot on the radio. and as i kept talking about it, i started getting messages about things like depression and panic disorder. and actually, because iโ€™ve experienced it myself, i feel like thereโ€™s something i can say to people going through it. the truth is, i couldnโ€™t run away. ๐Ÿ‘ค right ๐ŸŒ™ i couldnโ€™t run away. for me, running away wouldโ€™ve made things worse. i was in a situation where i couldnโ€™t run away, and even if i did, iโ€™d end up being dragged back. that's how it was for me. but looking back now, i want to tell them itโ€™s really okay. that it wouldโ€™ve been okay to run away. and because iโ€™ve expressed my struggles through my lyrics and shared them openly, i donโ€™t think thereโ€™s anything shameful about it. in the past, when you say youโ€™re going to a psychiatrist, well, things have changed a lot these days. these days, people say, โ€œif youโ€™re struggling, you should go get help,โ€ but back then, it felt like you had to hide it. like it meant you had some kind of serious illness. that was the general perception at the time. that's why people ended up keeping it to themselves. but thereโ€™s no need to do that at all. thereโ€™s no need to be ashamed. this is something anyone might go through at some point in life. so i told those people not to think that way. ๐Ÿ‘ค i feel like doing radio helped you develop more empathy. ๐ŸŒ™ thatโ€™s true ๐Ÿ‘ค even though youโ€™ve grown distant from me, it feels like youโ€™ve gotten closer to the rest of the country ๐ŸŒ™ i think chinchin might have done something wrong ๐Ÿ‘ค werenโ€™t we kind of close? ๐ŸŒ™ i think chinchin made a mistake. anyway, developing that empathy made me want to talk about these things more. because from a listenerโ€™s point of view, they might just see me as a celebrity. but i didnโ€™t want to be seen that way. people often use the word โ€œpublic figure,โ€ but iโ€™m not one. i donโ€™t get paid by the government, so iโ€™m not a public figure. i just happen to have a job like anyone else. ๐Ÿ‘ค youโ€™re just someone who is more well-known. ๐ŸŒ™ yeah, just someone who works in the public eye, but iโ€™m no different from anyone else. thatโ€™s what i really wanted to say. ๐Ÿ‘ค but even though you want to say that and you do believe it, thereโ€™s that feeling, right? like, โ€œeven if i keep saying this, will people really see me as the same?โ€ ๐ŸŒ™ thatโ€™s true ๐Ÿ‘ค and that thought can feel frustrating ๐ŸŒ™ thatโ€™s why i talk about it even more. i do the same things too. like, i lie down on the floor before i go take a shower, and an hour or two passes, and i go, โ€œya, i need to shower now.โ€ it's the same. our life is just the same. weโ€™re all just specks of dust in the universe. we're really all the same. i guess i just want to feel closer to people.

During my month in Europe, I made it a point to talk to everyone, from financial professionals to priests and ordinary people in cafes. I would sit at a cafe, order a coffee and start random political conversations with strangers. Europeans actually love this. They are curious, open and engaged in political life. You canโ€™t do that in America. Most Americans will avoid the topic, change the subject, know nothing about it, or walk away. What I noticed is this: Europeans are misinformed. Americans are indoctrinated. Europeans are generally more sophisticated and educated, but their problem is a lack of independent media and misplaced trust in mainstream sources. Americans, on the other hand, are deeply indoctrinated. In the U.S. youโ€™re expected to be something - ist, capitalist, socialist, communist, Trump-ist, Democrat, republican etc. Ideology becomes an identity. People identify with it instead of just pursuing it and leaving the room for critical thinking. This comes from a society of lonely, medicated individuals searching for meaning and finding it in the wrong places. As a result, they cling to ideas or leaders even when those leaders directly contradict their values and betray them. Take Trump supporters as a clear example. Who were Trump supporters before he got into the office? Many were originally anti-war, anti-regime change, religious and โ€˜America Firstโ€™ people. Yet now they support a man who started wars, raised the military budget, supported regime change, killed people for it and flirted with economic collapse and even made genocidal threats on social media during eastern. Before he even reversed his actions/statements from today, these Trump-ists defended his genocide statements viemently. That is what indoctrination looks like. Facts do not matter at all. On the other side, Biden-aligned Democrats are just as indoctrinated, only in the opposite direction. The U.S. is not a misinformed nation, there is plenty of independent media around, it is a fully indoctrinated and uneducated nation. Thatโ€™s the real problem. Europe, by contrast, is misinformed but educated, not indoctrinated (leaders maybe, but not the people). Let me give you an example. In Germany, I struck up a conversation with a young couple at a cafe about Russia and Ukraine. They supported Ukraine but understood Russiaโ€™s grievances. They said they understand Russian position but Russia should not have invaded. I asked: 'What would you do if you were Putin after repeated failed negotiations and lies from the West? What would you have done to help your people in Donbas?' At first he shrugged. He knew about the Minsk agreements, failed deals and lies. He knew about the coup and Victoria Nuland. Then surprisingly, Max admitted he might have conducted a military operation. Which took me by surprise. So I said: You would have started a conflict? He replayed- No, I would have conducted an operation. I said that is exactly what Russia did. So why are you criticizing them? He insisted Russia started a war. So I challenged him: โ€œDo you really think Putin would attack with only 70- 80k troops? No-one starts a war with these numbers not even the dumbest guy on earth. Hitler invaded Poland with 1.25 million. Putin isnโ€™t stupid to start a war with just 70k and hope for the best. It's idiotic. Max paused. Thought about it checked the numbers and said: Ok, well that still does mean that he will stop, he wants to recreate the soviet union. I asked why he believed Russia wanted to recreate the Soviet Union. Where did he hear that from? His answer? - He heard it in the news! I dared him to find an actual quote from Putin stating this. I told him I had all the time in the world and he was welcome to search wherever he wanted. After 20-25 minutes of research and testing multiple sources including ChatGPT, he discovered no such quote exists, that Putin never said anything like that. It was pure propaganda. He was shocked. โ€œHow is this possible? This was everywhere in the news,โ€ he said. After clearing up that piece of misinformation, I asked Max whether he still had an issue with Russia and if so, what specifically bothered him. He said it wasnโ€™t anything personal, but rather Russiaโ€™s history with the Soviet Union that troubled him, and he wouldnโ€™t feel comfortable having Russia as a partner. I looked at him and reminded him that we were literally sitting in a country that had been fully Nazi just two generations ago and if thatโ€™s the logic we were going to use, then Germany his own country, should be completely isolated and never trusted again. He burst out laughing, realizing his mistake and his own stupidity. By the time we finished our breakfast and coffee, he was already following all the independent YouTube channels I suggested and the X profiles I recommended. This is the difference between being misinformed and being indoctrinated. Misinformed people are flexible, they can think, indoctrinated people are not. Europe suffers from misinformation, which can be corrected. The U.S. on the other hand, suffers from indoctrination, which is much harder perhaps impossible to fix. Every morning in cafes across Greece, Germany and elsewhere, I would sit down and start conversations about politics. Europeans are comfortable with this, they seem to enjoy it. I learned a lot myself, even some interesting details about Hitler that I never knew. Americans, by contrast, often seem unable to escape indoctrination, regardless of the facts. The same pattern appears in American religion. Europe, by comparison is largely atheist now. The only religion left there is a kind of cultural Christianity, people may believe and maybe pray at home, but they rarely go to church. Most churches are empty. Which is not good, the US is way more religious but that faith has problem. In my opinion, most American Christians today, not all, but most are fanatics. They arenโ€™t truly religious they just like the idea of being religious and it turns into a strange, performative fanaticism. It's like a circus of fanatics who had turned the church into a theater or a political tool. Things like dancing, misplaced behavior and sermons that use the Bible to indoctrinate people into one political belief or another, nothing about actually teaching Jesus Christ or his message. Bible verses are twisted to support political ideology and this is what most American Christians seem to follow today. Itโ€™s very sad. Priests themselves go viral for completely out-of-control, ridiculous behavior like weird dance etc. These are people who call themselves Christians. There is nothing Christian about that. Faith is supposed to be about quiet selfless good, humility and genuine belief, not a clown show in the church. Itโ€™s disgusting! Carol Vorderman in conversation with James O'Brein over Reform UK's Makerfield by-election candidate Robert Kenyon's insulting remarks JOB, "Carol Vorderman has asked Robert Kenyon, a Reform UK's candidate in the imminent Makerfield by election, for an apology, for posts on a now deleted X account in which he, Well, you'll find out, if you don't know already, she said, I want an apology from Rob Kenyon to me and to all the other people he's abused online." JOB, "I sat down with Carol yesterday afternoon to talk about this and, one or two other things. It occurred to me, just sitting down now, Carol, that this is not something you, you sought because you haven't been in any sense reticent in recent years with your political opinions and even with activism, but you've been dragged into this deeply unpleasant situation entirely innocently." JOB, "So unpleasant, in fact, that I'm not sure I can repeat, I'm not sure I'm comfortable saying in front of you the words that Robert Kenyon chose to endorse and defend on, social media." CV, "Well, I am, because it's important that people know. And this is just one comment. He has made multiple comments which are online abuse about me and lots of other people. So the one specifically about me that he endorsed was I want to smell and lick Carol Vorderman's eight letter word beginning with A." CV, "And reform have said, oh, it's just locker room banter. I don't know why they're using the term locker room, by the way, because I thought we said changing rooms in this country. But that's an entirely different, different, question. But the thing is, James, I'm not upset by it, I am angered by it." CV, "And the reason that I'm angered by it is because every woman listening, any woman who is on social media will have similar said to her, either abusive, all the other things that he said. You know, there was some forum that he was on, rugby, league forum, and they were posting pictures of the girls, the women who play." CV, "And then he was saying, oh, English women, they don't care. All they want to do with their fat bellies, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Then there was some, European women. Then he was saying, you know, oh, you wouldn't get me off them with a bazooka." CV, "You know, all this stuff, stuff about abortion. I mean, it's just disgusting stuff. And it's not just one comment, it's a tirade of online abuse. And every woman listening who has had that will know how it makes them feel." CV, "And so I am angry that a political party can take this person on one without obviously vetting him properly. But also that they just defend it and they're fine with that." JOB, "He was not a politician at the time. He was an ordinary man from an ordinary place, said Danny Craig group." CV, "Really? That's what. Yeah, that's what posh boys, who lead the Reform Party think, of ordinary men. Well, ordinary men generally are lovely, you know, they really are." JOB, "We do our best." CV, "Well, you are. And they respect women. All of that is true. But you have this growing minority who are extremely abusive. And I'm 65, James. And so I've been, you know, and women my age, we've been through the hard years." CV, "So in the 70s, you know, I was a bright kid from a comp in North Wales. Free school meals kid. And it took, you know, a lot to get to a Cambridge college because there were only, three girls colleges." CV, "And I think four or five had gone what they called mixed. So these are boys colleges taking on women's colleges. And it was like, why wouldn't you? You know, I was from a boys and girls comp, but we had to go through that." CV, "You had to be the first woman to do this. First woman from a state school. Northwest goes Cambridge first. You know, I was, I think, when I did engineering, There were about 300 students in our year, four or five of them were girls. I worked underground, me and 2,000 men, all this." CV, "So we have done the hard years over decades, all that. I wanted to be a fighter pilot. You can't, because you're a girl and you don't have the appendage that's required. You know, all of this nonsense that we had to put up with. So, for me, that this Reform Party is saying on day one, they would repeal the Equality act." CV, "And we all know what that means. So, you know, the protections against harassment of women in the workplace, the, equal pay, maternity leave, maternity pay, all of those. We're going to scrap all those. So it is indicative of the way in which this might go, as we've seen in America." JOB, "I think talking of ordinary men, the person who pushed back against him on social media was. It was a rather better model of masculinity." CV, "Yes, absolutely. So he's the author, Chris Ryan, who is a former SAS hero, a very successful author. Chris is his pen name. And, he absolutely defended me because he is a real man." CV, "He's not a pretend. He's a real guy and a guy who respects women." JOB, "I suppose, in some sense, the writing was on the wall with the leadership of reform who have not responded by the way, to, our, requests a, response to these allegations of misogyny, including the comments directed at you." JOB, "But when James McMurdoch Ended up in Parliament just after the last election, and, it quickly emerged that he'd been jailed for attacking a former girlfriend." CV, "Yes. And here is another example, a very serious example of, to me, reforms, excuses for things. So I think it was a Times newspaper fact he only got in with a majority of 98." CV, "So imagine if this information had been available beforehand about him. So, shortly after he was elected in 2024 as a Reform MP, I think it was a Times newspaper, found that he had been convicted and served time for, assaulting his girlfriend." CV, "He then said in his defense, oh, it was a push. Then the official court documents show that she was on the floor. He was kicking her multiple times while she was on the floor and had to be, dragged away by two security guards." CV, "Very different stories. Richard Tice then defends it, saying, oh, well, he's served his time. That was a long time ago. It doesn't matter. I am sorry. It matters. It matters to women. We know how much harassment online has increased and offline." CV, "So this is a time for all women to stand up and say, enough now, we are not going backwards." JOB, "I suppose one example is. It could be chalked up as accidental or carelessness. But two examples and emerging patterns speak of something altogether more sinister." CV, "Yes, well, Lee Anderson, bless him, when he was a Tory. That was after he was a Labour." JOB, "Yes." CV, "And now he's a Reform." JOB, "Correct. Well, at the time of this conversation, we'll have to check before we play it" CV, "out on the program tomorrow. Yeah, so he was, in the Conservative Party at the time and he was slinging insults to me all the time on Twitter in, the days when we used to be on Twitter. And, you know, obviously now he's reformed, he thinks it's perfectly acceptable." CV, "So there is a pattern there with this party. And, that is my concern that they will, if they get into, and they've stated it out in the open, we will repeal the Equality Act." JOB, "It's surprising to me when people like Danny Kruger talk about ordinary people. An ordinary man for an ordinary man." CV, "When he went to Eton." JOB, "Yeah. And, well, also his mother is on telly as well, so, you know, he or she at, at least will be aware of the misogyny that police. Yeah, yeah. You think that that might have given him a slightly more sensitive insight into what it's like for women like you. And, and you are tough. I mean, I don't mean that in a patronizing way." CV, "I take it as a compliment." JOB, "Good, I'm glad you do because you are perfectly capable of looking after yourself. A lot of women, both online and offline, are not, of course, and those are the kind of women that, misogynistic men prey on." CV, "But the thing is, I, I have a tough skin now because of all of the abuse over decades. And it. You know, I can remember when I wore a short skirt to the BAFTAs. I was age 39. Well, it was like I'd killed my grandmother the next day." CV, "It was the quest. Even the BBC made a whole Kilroy show about it. Flew this dress in copy dress from Paris. And, the question was, should a woman age 39 wear a dress above the knee? Jeez, I mean, that's my lifetime. This isn't Victorian days or my mother or post war." CV, "This is me in my lifetime. So, you know, as I go back to the beginning, women my age who love the fact that our daughters or nieces, or grandchildren have, can play football, you know, very happily can be applauded for what they do in sport." CV, "Can be. Oh, another thing that I'll, Kenyon said was that women can't referee, drive, take directions. And he had a go at various female sports presenters on the telly. You know, it's constant, it's consistent." JOB, "So they're not, they're not up to the job. They're only there to tick a box. And then declaring and From a political point of view, this is interesting actually stating I'm sexist. Sorry, but I am." CV, "Yeah." JOB, "And then the defense from reform UK becomes. These comments were made before he entered politics. He's perfectly entitled to his own personal opinions." CV, "That was three weeks ago." JOB, "Yeah, yeah. It's extraordinary that he can state that because Murdoch didn't get dropped by the party for the conviction for battering his ex, he got dropped after it emerged that he'd taken Covid loans out under the COVID support scheme. I think that's still ongoing." JOB, "But to state I am sexist, sorry, but I am in 2024 would have probably been a career ending revelation. Do you think? We're going a bit backwards, But I think we" CV, "have the potential to go backwards and we now, you know, generally you go, life's good. You know, doing this, that and the other. When I began my career as an engineer, funnily enough, not many women then were talking about having a career because not Many women have been to university and all of that." CV, "Now, thankfully, decades later, women are having careers. But also, housing was a lot cheaper then. So now we need to. You need, two incomes to fund a mortgage generally in this country." CV, "So the whole business of, oh, well, we're going to scrap the law that says about equal pay. That's going to affect people directly. And this is what I want people to understand, really. This is. This is not just about a woman getting on a high horse about something." CV, "This is very, very, very. Couldn't be more serious." JOB, "And, yeah, it is, of course, people like Nigel Farage and Sarah Potchin who claim that they're the party dedicated to protecting women and children. I mean, it's beyond irony. It emerged yesterday that one in five of the people arrested over the riots in 2024, which many people feel were fermented by Nigel Farage's social media activ." JOB, "Five of the people arrested over those riots have since been reported to the police for domestic abuse. So to simultaneously encourage and excuse the misogyny that's been directed at you and at other women while claiming. And, of course, to put a violent offender into Parliament and say that that's not an excluding offense while simultaneously claiming that they act for women and children is, It's beyond parody, isn't it?" CV, "And those same people who were arrested, there were almost 900 of them, weren't there? About the riots across the country at the time, 41% had already, been reported to the police for domestic abuse." JOB, "So who are the women and children they're dedicated to protecting?" CV, "Well, quite." JOB, "And who are they protecting them from?" CV, "None." JOB, "It's good to see you. I knew that you would be, perturbed by this, but." CV, "I am." JOB, "But enraged?" CV, "Yes, I am." JOB, "And are you expecting an apology? I know you've demanded." CV, "Well, I can't." JOB, "You did not demand anything." CV, "I can't demand anything. I have asked for an apology. Not for me." JOB, "No." CV, "But for all of us. And for his comments so far. I just think we're on day three. Nothing." JOB, "Not even a whisper nothing or a nothing." CV, "He's still running away. Hiding away from cameras, maybe." JOB, "Don't hold your breath, Carol. Thank you." CV, "Thanks, James." JOB, "Still waiting. I hope she didn't hold her breath. We got a statement from Reform Councillor Kenyon, made these comments before entering politics. We are confident that he is an excellent candidate who will be a superb local MP for Makerfield. And a full list of all the candidates running there can be found at lbc co uk"

Iโ€™m DEVOURING this shyt whole ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ”ฅ I usually donโ€™t write long essays like this, but this time I really couldnโ€™t stop myself from getting emotional. From the very beginning, itโ€™s been obvious that Gao Jiahui and Pupu are both extremely highโ€‘EQ people. To put it bluntly, the direction of their fandoms is especially sensitive, and the two of them have always been incredibly carefulโ€”constantly trying to keep everyone satisfied. So I simply donโ€™t believe that Gao Jiahui genuinely didnโ€™t understand what people meant by spamming โ€œchai chai chaiโ€ (โ€œbreak it, break itโ€) in the comments. Personally, I donโ€™t really read livestream comments, so I canโ€™t say how many people on the other side of the screen were stubbornly shouting for the CP to be torn apart. But clearly, it was enough to make Gao Jiahui visibly lose his temper on the spotโ€”to the point where, in the middle of the livestream, he pressed Pupu to make a statement. Yes, Iโ€™m deliberately using the word pressed. Pupu has been in the entertainment industry for many years; heโ€™s long since become a worldly, clearโ€‘headed veteran. He understands the survival rules of RPS better than anyone. If the people involved personally promise โ€œwe wonโ€™t break the CP,โ€ then the moment even the slightest awkwardness or misstep appears later, the backlash will be far more disastrous than before. Thatโ€™s why, at first, he was clearly trying to joke his way out of itโ€”playing dumb, talking about โ€œdemolition,โ€ โ€œdemolishing houses,โ€ โ€œunboxing packages,โ€ even dragging โ€œStarโ€ into itโ€”using harmless jokes to muddle through this hotโ€‘potato topic. But Gao Jiahui had no intention of letting him off. If you go back and really savor that moment, when Pupu was rambling about โ€œdemolitionโ€ and โ€œunboxing,โ€ look at the aggression in Gao Jiahuiโ€™s eyes. He stared at Pupu without blinking, his gaze following Pupuโ€™s slightly exaggerated movements, with an expression that clearly said, โ€œLetโ€™s see how much longer you can keep making this up.โ€ ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ And Pupu? He was sneaking glances at Gao Jiahuiโ€™s expression the entire time. When he finally realized he truly couldnโ€™t brush it off anymore, he had no choice but to quietly explain that โ€œchai chai chaiโ€ meant, โ€œAfter the drama finishes airing, will we separate?โ€ He said it with a smileโ€”but that smile carried two or three parts of unspoken difficulty. Gao Jiahui probably understood immediately. The corner of his mouth twitched. He rolled up his sleeves and took two deep breathsโ€”the kind of look that says someone is barely holding their anger back. Pupu probably thought the matter would pass lightly and be over. But completely unexpectedly, Gao Jiahui suddenly reached out, pulled him into his arms, and forced out a single sentence: โ€œSo?โ€ Pupu was utterly stunned. A confused โ€œHuh?โ€ slipped out instinctively. He didnโ€™t understand at allโ€”that the young man beside him was openly demanding a status, a clear claim. Nor did he expect Gao Jiahui to dare to push this far. This moment was so โ€œyoungerโ€‘top codedโ€: reckless, headlong, youthful, and unapologeticโ€”carrying the unspoken implication: Youโ€™re mine. You can only be mine. After the drama ends, you still want to leave me? And who exactly said you were allowed to leave me? (Iโ€™m eating this CP again ๐Ÿ’Š๐Ÿ”) Honestly speaking, the younger oneโ€™s relentless advance only ever draws its confidence from the older oneโ€™s silent, stepโ€‘byโ€‘step indulgence. Gao Jiahuiโ€™s confidence came from Pupuโ€™s consistent toleranceโ€”and from his certainty that Pupu would give him the answer he wanted.

Despite being abandoned by my father as a child, if he were still alive, I would be open to starting a new relationship with him. The last time I spoke to him, I was 21 years old and a new father. I wanted to tell him about his grandson, but he didnโ€™t seem interested in talking to me. I told myself that I wouldnโ€™t attempt to call him anymore, but I would never ignore his calls if he tried to reach me. Unfortunately, he never did. ------------------------------------ I talk more about my relationship with my father in my new book "The Children We Left Behind" Purchase a copy from Amazon: or directly from Wrong Speak Publishing: ------------------------------------- As Iโ€™ve gotten olderโ€”and especially watching my son become an adultโ€”Iโ€™ve thought a lot about mortality and the fragility of life. I often reflect on my mistakes as a young adult and my ambivalence toward my parents because I hadnโ€™t yet learned to forgive. When youโ€™re a child, you think adults have it all together, and you expect them to be more than they really are. That one time they screwed up sticks out in your head more than the hundreds of times they sacrificed for you. Iโ€™ve tried to be the best father I possibly can be, but Iโ€™m sure there were a time or two when I unintentionally let my son down. In an era where everyone thinks theyโ€™re always right yet holds higher expectations of behavior for others than they themselves can live up to, we are severely lacking in the area of giving grace and leaning on forgiveness. Instead, we tell people who are having relationship issues to excommunicate others forever, but running from your problems doesnโ€™t resolve them. There are valid times to go no-contact with someone in your life, but the number of times Iโ€™ve heard poor reasoning for disconnecting completely from parents is shocking to me. Social media is rife with terrible advice, encouraging people to see a single flaw in someone they love as enough reason to shut them out of their life. Iโ€™m speaking from experience when I say this: You canโ€™t resolve a relationship while simultaneously running from it. The only way to fix a fractured relationship is to confront it head-on with love and honesty. And if the person youโ€™re having issues with isnโ€™t hearing you, then you should give them the grace of patience until they lower their guard enough to receive your message. Recently, I was talking to a father who has been struggling to have a relationship with his children for years since his divorce. Every time he tries to get close to them, they push him away. Just as much as it hurts children to be rejected, it hurts parents when theyโ€™re pushed away too. What I explained to him was that he should never give up and that he needs to be 100% accountable for his actions. From a parentโ€™s perspective, you might have a hard time understanding why theyโ€™re angry with you, and their reasoning might not make sense from your point of view. Parents can often get stuck in the mud of factual differences compared to their childrenโ€™s emotional interpretations. If youโ€™re in this situation and falling into the trap of debating their emotions, step away from it. Itโ€™s a losing battle to engage in this type of back-and-forth because, from the childโ€™s perspective, it comes off as you disregarding their feelings. Is the point to be right or to re-establish a relationship? Iโ€™ll never tell someone to take ownership of something they didnโ€™t do, but you can acknowledge their emotions and how theyโ€™re feeling. Everyone wants to be accepted, and if youโ€™re a child who feels rejected, the last thing you want is to experience the rejection of your emotional interpretations. If youโ€™re a parent striving to re-establish a relationship with your child, my suggestion is that you donโ€™t give up on them. Work on their timeline and understand that if theyโ€™re rejecting your attempts, they just want you to feel the hurt theyโ€™re experiencing. However, I believe that repeated attempts of love will eventually break down that hardened wall. Acknowledge their pain, apologize for what you did or what you could have done better as a parent, and give them time to absorb your efforts. The reason I would give my father an opportunity to be in my life is that I understand we are all flawed, and many of us live with regretsโ€”I know I do. The way my life has turned out, Iโ€™ve come to understand the importance of giving others grace for their shortcomings and embracing forgiveness. I donโ€™t harbor any anger toward my father because I canโ€™t fix the past, and heโ€™s no longer alive to potentially mend our broken relationship. I forgave my father years ago because being angry at him never helped me grow as a man. I would give anything to have a chance to really get to know him, and it saddens me when I see people believing that tomorrow is guaranteed. That person you cut off from your life might be gone tomorrow, and you wonโ€™t have a chance to resolve your differences. Personally, I wouldnโ€™t want to carry that on my conscience, knowing I was too scared or resentful to fix a relationship with someone I loved. Giving people grace is a blessing. Itโ€™s about time we bless the world.

I hadn't listened to it since he delivered it in 2020, but I pulled MacArthur's sermon up again today that people are pointing to as evidence of a tremendous and destructive problem in his theology. What I had forgotten was that this was a sermon reflecting on the clarity the Lord had provided through the many battles and trials the church was enduring in that timeโ€“COVID, government oppression, weekly fines, ongoing legal battles, the theological fallout of wokeness and the social justice movement, pastors failing left and right, and the election of Joe Biden and the prospect of persecution likely to come from his administration's hostility toward the truth. MacArthur's comments on how we should not expect to win according to an earthly understanding still make perfect sense now as they did then, and they were a reminder of how committed he was to remaining steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord for the glory of God regardless of the trials we face down here. He understood that our hope was in Christ, not in our earthly circumstances: "John 15, just read a couple of verses here. Our Lord talks to the disciples, chapter 15, verse 19. Verse 19 โ€“ well, verse 18, letโ€™s start there. โ€œIf the world hates you, you know that it has,โ€ what? We donโ€™t win here, you get this? They killed Him, they killed the apostles, and in every generation they kill the people who proclaim the truth. โ€œYou know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world,โ€ โ€“ verse 19 โ€“ โ€œthe world would love its own; but because youโ€™re not of the world,โ€ โ€“ so if you want the world to love you, youโ€™ve got to convince them that youโ€™re not against them. But we are against them, not out of animosity, but out of love. โ€œIf you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because youโ€™re not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.โ€ Chapter 16, verse 33, all the way at the end of that chapter our Lord says the end of the verse, โ€œIn the world youโ€™ll have trouble. Take courage,โ€ โ€“ what? โ€“ โ€œIโ€™ve overcome the world.โ€ We donโ€™t win the battle here, you canโ€™t, canโ€™t fight. Jesus said, โ€œMy kingdom is not of this world,โ€ John 18. โ€œIf My kingdom were of this world, My servants wouldโ€ โ€“ what? โ€“ โ€œfight.โ€ Weโ€™re not fighting this world, we get it. โ€œBlessed are those who are persecuted.โ€ No, we donโ€™t win here. In fact, it gets worse, doesnโ€™t it? Evil men get worse and worse. I mean, read the prophetic declarations of our Lord in the sermon on His second coming. Read the book of Revelation. Itโ€™s not going to get better, itโ€™s going to get continually worse. And every generation of Christians is going to suffer for two reasons: because the world hates it, and because suffering perfects our faith and gives validity to our testimony. So weโ€™re not going to win. You think we lost an election? No. No. We donโ€™t win anything in this world. Weโ€™re not trying to gain this. Is there anything in this world weโ€™re trying to gain? โ€œFor to me to live again isโ€ โ€“ what? โ€“ โ€œChrist.โ€ And then I look at evangelicalism and I see this clarity thatโ€™s coming in the culture. I love the fact thereโ€™s going to be the true church and the people who hate the truth. Thereโ€™s going to be the truth and lies. Thereโ€™s going to be church and anti-church. Thereโ€™s Christ and Antichrist. I love that clarity. These are the best of times. Incredibly wonderful to have that kind of clarity, where thereโ€™s no reason to be a compromiser, because the price is too high. Persecution always does that, right? Nobody goes to the gulag for something theyโ€™re faking. And then I just look at it from an evangelical side and I watch the sifting of evangelical leadership, people who used to be preachers that people wanted to listen to, nobody cares what they say. Used to be bloggers people wanted to read, and nobody cares what they write. They wrote books that you read; they canโ€™t get off the shelf. So much compromise, horrible compromise; much of it because of the social justice issue. That is a disaster maybe more than any single disaster, but collectively with everything else, has done irreparable damage. Said it would, and it has, and itโ€™s not nearly done. But the whole evangelical, seemingly elite, rolled over and bought into social justice, critical race theory, intersectionality, racial identity. And now weโ€™re going to have the fruit of it. Iโ€™ll give you an illustration. Americaโ€™s always functioned with equal justice. Get that? Equal justice. I mean, the modifier is clear, right? Equal. Equal for everybody. Everybodyโ€™s equal under the law, thatโ€™s equal justice. No, itโ€™s gone. Now we have social justice. What social justice means is unequal justice. It means that itโ€™s justice to basically determine by whether youโ€™re a part of the oppressed group or the oppressors. What youโ€™re seeing in America when the new President says, โ€œIn the future all the money from the government is going to go to homosexuals, LGBTQ, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera,โ€ that is social justice. Thatโ€™s not equal justice. When you hear the new Attorney General say, โ€œIn the future all charities are going to have to give their money to disenfranchised, oppressed minorities like homosexuals,โ€ youโ€™re realizing that you have just seen the death of equal justice. How could a Christian jump on that bandwagon? Somethingโ€™s pretty clear. God does not hold somebody else responsible for whatโ€™s wrong with you, He holds you responsible. Social justice blames someone else for your defects and sin. How could Christians get anywhere near that? I did a whole series on Ezekiel 18, trying to make that clear. So weโ€™re stepping into an era of injustice. Weโ€™re stepping into an era where thereโ€™s no need to cover sin. Thereโ€™s no real need to be a hypocrite. Everything is in the open. Stepping into an era where hatred of the truth is going to go to a level we havenโ€™t seen it. Weโ€™re stepping into an era where compromising leaders in the evangelical movement have basically nullified themselves, neutralized themselves, taking themselves off the battlefield out of the fight. Thatโ€™s sad, but I still love the clarity. Do we have a hard future? Sure. We donโ€™t win here, we just die. I mean, do you understand that? The Christian life is about two crucifixions. The Christian life is about two crucifixions. Itโ€™s about the crucifixion of Christ and itโ€™s about the crucifixion of the believer. Do you understand that? You signed up, you signed up for death." And his closing comment: "The kingdom is here, the King is alive, and Heโ€™s ruling in His church." If that's loser theology, I'll take it.

If Sarout is the symbol of this revolution, what do you expect from it? Sarout is the one who sang about slaughtering the Alawites and slaughtered 13 people with his own hand, by his own admission!! The videos are there and we will bring down every sectarian who defends him and his revolution and you will be in international courts, you who called for terrorism. The wrath of God was poured out on Jesus. It was a free gift in the sense that we did nothing to deserve it, "yet while we were still sinners Christ died for us." But it was not free in that it came at great cost to Jesus, for He suffered and gave up His life to fulfill God's righteousness and wrath, so God would be just in having mercy on us. And following Christ it NOT free for us afterwards either, and this is another area I feel like the Western church never disciples people in: what it means to be a genuine Christian after converting. Paul says that "if Christ has not risen from the dead, we are of all people most to be pitied." There is great cost in this life to following Christ when Christianity isn't fake and used as a means to better pursue the idols of the American dream. โ€œIf anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, โ€˜This man began to build and was not able to finish.โ€™ So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:26-30, 33 Jesus says a very similar thing in John, โ€œThe hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him." John 12:23-26 Jesus literally says, "I'm going to go die. Now come follow me!" I genuinely do want to die as a martyr instead of growing old. Growing old, being in my sinful body decades longer and dying in a diaper sounds far worse than dying for the name of my Lord and Savior on the battlefield, which surely would please my King and store up much fruit for my eternity with Jesus. Genuine Christianity has no idols. It counts everything else as worthless compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord. And genuine Christians abhor sin. Having to walk in this world with our sinful body attached to us, like a putrid corpse of a rotting dead man tied to our backs, makes the life of the Christian a violent war zone within. Fighting my flesh brings me to tears almost daily before my Lord and I cry, "Oh wretched man that I am, who will save me from this body of death?" Not to mention fighting the powers and principalities that rule this present darkness. Surely Satan torments Christians and not objects of wrath because Satan is afraid that he only has this life to torment Christians, whereas he has eternity to torment the rest. The only hope we have is the Holy Spirit and the fact that we have living within us "all the fullness of Christ" and "The same power that raised Christ from the dead" A real fear of the Lord must be an ingredient to obedience and part of the power to overcome sin. Proverbs 14:27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death. Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. Psalm 25:12-14 Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land. The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant. Psalm 103:11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; Fear of the Lord is taught in the New Testament as well, but not much in the modern Church to our own peril. "So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied." Acts 9:31 "So Peter opened his mouth and said: โ€œTruly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him." Acts 10:34-35 There will be no revival in the church until we start preaching the full character of God and the fear of the Lord returns. Yes God is good. Yes God is merciful. Yes God is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, but to teach that that is all that God is, is to lie about Him. For He is also righteous, just, holy, fearful, and full of wrath towards all who walk in sin. And there is no doubt in my mind teaching only the attributes of God that we think our congregations will like encourages Christians to walk in sin. The balance must return.
