Forget @AamAadmiParty . Forget politics. Think about the parents who have lost their children. What does a mother go through when her child dies by suicide? What does a father go through when the child he spent his entire life raising is suddenly gone? I am saying this because the way grief is being used in political arguments genuinely hurts me. Not because I am a blind supporter of this government. I am not. But because I have seen what grief does to families. #NCRB recorded 8,068 student suicides in 2014 and 9,474 in 2016. #Student suicides remain a serious crisis today too. So yes, every #government must be questioned when students suffer. But please don't pretend these problems began in 2014. #India has struggled with student pressure, suicides and examination irregularities for decades. #Parliament itself recorded examination-paper leakages in February 2014. So let's have an honest conversation about 72 years versus 12 years—not through propaganda, but through facts. Acknowledge what was achieved before 2014, what has improved after 2014, and what still needs to be fixed. Paper leaks must be punished. Cancelled examinations need accountability. Students who spend years preparing deserve justice. Mental-health support must improve. Now let me make this personal. I have worn the ,#uniform and personally experienced the realities of serving our country. I know what I saw then, I have witnessed what has changed since, and I speak about those changes from lived experience—not from a political narrative. There were times when basic equipment, infrastructure and protective gear were inadequate, and conditions were extremely difficult. Some operational realities I cannot discuss publicly because the uniform comes with responsibilities and confidentiality. I remember colleagues who made the ultimate sacrifice. Behind every uniform is someone's daughter, son, mother, father, husband or wife. When that person doesn't return, no political speech can bring them back. That is why I struggle when the grief of soldiers, students or parents becomes political ammunition. Don't turn a dead child into a hashtag. Don't turn a grieving parent into a campaign prop. Don't turn a soldier's sacrifice into a talking point. India has 72 years of history before 2014 and 12 years after it. There were achievements and failures on both sides of that timeline. Let's have the courage to acknowledge both. Our students deserve safer examinations. Our soldiers deserve better equipment and dignity. Our grieving families deserve compassion. Our young Indians deserve leaders who give them hope rather than turning their pain into political ammunition. I don't need a political label to prove my patriotism. I wore the uniform. I served my country. And I will speak honestly about what I have seen. 🇮🇳
