Most people even in their wildest imagination never thought the waterflow will rise to that level. I will give 80% of people who died benefit of doubt they were caught at wrong place or had no inkling that it will be this worse.

I wonder how many lost their lives because of their inability to resist the impulse to use their cell phones to photograph the imminent catastrophe. For what? For whom? Unbelievable! Those darn, ubiquitous devices can be deadly. My heart aches for the victims and the nation.
We have the benefit of hindsight. At no time in their lifetime had they ever seen anything like that. So why would they ever expect anything like that? It’s like standing out by the road expecting the mailman but getting a runaway train instead.
sitting on your couch and posting that video is easy. figuring out what's going on in that very moment is impossible without information.
In a flood situation. Always run uphill. Get to higher ground!!
