If the Ram Temple symbolizes the faith and sacrifice of millions, then its management should be as transparent and accountable as the ideals it claims to represent. The questions raised in this speech deserve to be answered, not dismissed: Why were many individuals associated with the original Ram Janmabhoomi movement allegedly left out of the temple's governing structure? Why should those who claim to have led the decades-long struggle feel excluded after the goal was achieved? And if donations came from ordinary devotees across India, shouldn't every rupee be subject to public scrutiny? Faith does not diminish by asking questions. Public trust is strengthened when institutions embrace transparency rather than avoid it. A temple built in the name of Lord Ram should also uphold the values associated with Ram—truth, integrity, justice, and accountability. Whether one agrees with the speaker or not, democratic societies should encourage evidence-based debate on the governance of public religious institutions instead of treating every question as an act of hostility.
