I live in US, don’t compare. My 2 cents 1. Most of the people pay tax here, in India not even 2% pay income tax, 2. in US, property tax itself around 1.5% actual home value for a year. Imagine paying 75K tax on 50L home every year.

In the USA people are paying taxes from a few hundreds of years in India. Not even now the people amount of people paying the taxes are very minuscule except the properly recognized industries are paying taxes as salary taxes
