I was a '90s kid. I thought the future had only more and more comforts in store at no downside, and "surviving in the woods" was silly. I was the silly one, turns out.

I did. Cub scout, boy scout, junior naval cadet - the works. And I run to youtube every time i have to tie a proper knot. It just didn’t stick.

I’m the worlds worst knot Boy Scout and left as an eagle knowing how to tie three knots: A square knot, a figure 8 on a boat cleat, and a reverse taut line hitch (because I couldn’t tie a regular taut line hitch).

Cause people were getting molested in Boy Scouts.

I actually quit cib scouts because while we were doing macaroni art the boy scouts (which were just a couple tables over from us) we're making birdhouses. When I was told I couldn't go over and make a birdhouse with the boy scouts, I got pissed and quit.

I was in boy scouts and all I learned was how to tie knots and how to get molested.
