This man’s wife has gone vegan for a few months now. She stays away from all forms of meat including dairy and fish. For dinner she ordered a chicken quesadilla with no chicken. The restaurant seemed to not see the part that said no chicken and put chicken on it. The husband informs her that she thinks there is chicken on it and she panics and runs to the restroom and tries to make herself throw up. He was like one of the greatest love of my life. When he started using again after such a horrific accident, I couldn’t understand how someone will go do that again. It felt like you punched me in my stomach, I put so much of my life on hold to take care of this person”

I’ve eaten candy bars for most of my life and the chocolate texture on top of most of them were always enjoyable to me. It’s like thicker sections of the chocolate that made it better. Being no stranger to having issues with textures I get it. But I never thought that this soils be an issue for anyone. This man doesn’t like the veiny appearance of a Snickers bar so he created his own contraption on a 3-D printer that cut it off so he could enjoy his Snickers bar. I often modify my food because of texture and mouthfeel of food. Like how I always peel the chicken skin off of rotisserie chicken unless it’s completely crispy. The soft mushy chicken skin that hasn’t been rendered is disgusting to me. It’s the reason why I even avoid eating rotisserie chicken just for that reason alone. Whenever I order a sandwich, I will often order it without sauce, and have them put it on the side because by the time I get home to eat it, it’s soggy and inedible in my opinion. So I’ve been told it’s a sensory issue and I can train myself to overcome it but to be honest I really don’t want to either. I always check my food and will just not eat it if it’s too soggy. So far that has worked for me. But this guy’s explanation for why he doesn’t like the candy bar is laughable for me, I get it, the texture ruins it for him which I can relate to.
