I don’t personally agree with some aspects of this video based on my own experience, but I thought it was useful to reflect on. I’ve found deep content in becoming a family man that nothing else has compared to. While I do strive to provide more for my family and remain present and nurturing, it is not out of a desire to seek freedom or anything else of that nature. Service to others beats service to self in how it feels 100% of the time, but it is also important that you do not pour from an empty cup. A balance must be struck. Something my mentor told me awhile back has stuck with me since. Depressed = Deep Rest. I definitely tried to maintain that permanent state of contentment with drugs in the past, it does not work. I absolutely agree with that. The body will always find homeostasis.

I had no idea that horses are physically unable to dream unless they feel safe enough to lie down. They sleep standing up most of the time. Their legs have a built-in locking system that holds them upright without any muscle effort. But standing sleep is only light sleep. To reach REM sleep, the deepest stage of rest where the brain processes memories, repairs the body, and produces dreams, every muscle has to completely relax. That can only happen lying down. Lying down makes a horse completely defenceless. It takes several seconds to get back on its feet, and in the wild that delay can be fatal. So a horse will only lie down to sleep when it completely trusts whatever is around it. In wild herds, at least one horse always stays standing while the others rest. If a horse feels stressed, alone, or unsure, it simply won’t lie down. It will go days without deep sleep rather than take the risk. So this horse, flat on its side, completely out while its owner sleeps against it, isn’t just napping. It has decided this person is safe enough to be completely helpless around.

This was *wild.* Right at the U.S. Northern Border port of entry, there are two signs. One says “Prepare to Stop.” The other one points to a “Hiking Trail.” I followed the hiking trail sign which leads up into woods that completely sidesteps the ports of entry on the U.S. and Canadian sides. The local sheriffs tell me that people can simply cross over one of these vast swaths of land on the other side of the hiking trail, and then there’s an ankle-deep creek that gets them into the rest of New Hampshire. It’s not at all surprising that many illegals who are turned away at the Southern Border are now shifting their attention to the Northern Border instead. More to come.

Without the love of Christ, I would have committed suicide after losing $10M in months... here's the story I didn't talk about this in the first video, because it's honestly too painful, but there was one day I almost ended my life, even while believing God is real. I yelled at him and told him I hated the world he created while I was driving to find a cliff to jump from. I'm not married, I don't have kids, that $10M portfolio was what I was building with my life. I had three siblings working for me and I had to let all three go, leaving over half my family jobless. So it felt like I had lost everything, let everyone I cared for down, and life was meaningless. But Jesus showed me his love like I never had felt before in one of my weakest moments, the desire to kill myself went away COMPLETELY in a split second and I broke down in tears. The feeling was like being hugged by all my loved ones at once. My old Christian missionary parents told me later that they had started praying for me at that exact moment, "The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." I now know that this is only the beginning. My faith was once a largely intellectual faith, now it is also visceral, raw, emotional, and I am full of the joy of my salvation in an indescribable way, even despite my circumstances. If I wanted to take my own life on my own, but Jesus saved me, the rest of my life belongs to Him in every way. I started crying even now as I write this, thinking back on that day. How hopeless I felt before I felt the presence and love of Jesus. No I won't be perfect going forward, but my Savior is perfect and his power is made perfect in our weakness. To everyone in the comments, of course I know I made MANY mistakes and was trying to rush to $1B way too fast. I was full of greed and serving mainly money. And I'm sorry if anyone lost money following my posts. However, I am certain that even my wandering has all been a part of God's plan. And if it is part of God's plan that I ever recover my worldly wealth (for my actual wealth is greater now than it has EVER been) and I reach a number like $10M again, it is His, not mine. And I will not share it or promote my own glory anymore. Because it's not my money to promote myself with, everything I have is God's to use on what's close to His heart. If I have food and clothing and a place to sleep most nights, AND the love of Christ is in me (the engine that now drives everything), I'm truly content. I'm done using my X and YouTube accounts to promote myself, my worldly opinions and my own glory. Lord Jesus, help me from now on to glorify your name alone, for you alone are worthy. Amen.
