Something you don’t see every day in Poipet. Apparently even the crocodiles are crossing the border from Thailand now, according to locals.

Meanwhile, here in Cambodia, Poipet had flash flooding yesterday. Also, if you drive a moto, probably not a good idea to let water enter the muffler. Otherwise, you may end up like this guy.

A deputy police chief in Poipet was allegedly driving a Camry erratically, and swerved across the road before hitting and seriously injuring three people and then fleeing the scene. At first it looked like he was drunk. According to a Banteay Meanchey police source, he wasn’t. He was reportedly high on drugs. Peung Do (ប៉ឹង ដូ), who handles “security” as a deputy chief in Poipet, has since been ordered to provincial traffic police, while the car was impounded. So yes, apparently alcohol wasn’t the problem. Not exactly reassuring.
